The Vinyl office is issuing a "flash" warning for All Jackpots casino.

A sudden development is likely to result in severe flooding of CS between now and tomorrow morning (UK time).

This may result in unanswered E-mails, and difficulty getting through on the phone.

I saw this "sudden development" unfold before my very eyes some 15 minutes ago, and managed to get through to VIP support (although there was a worryingly long rinning tone).

I open this to competition, (because due to this problem I can't) [HINT/CLUE]

What was this sudden development?

This is the only entry that is even half close

Firstly, note how I spelled "whether", NOT "weather" rusty.

This is as in "whether" something will work or not, and could refer to an almighty cock-up, perhaps with respect to a tournament

The warning has now expired, and the situation that caused it has been fixed. Those directly affected would have received an additional E-mail overnight (UK/Europe) or Late Afternoon/Evening for the US and Canada.

As for the Flash casino, well you will NOT find this on the Flash, it has to be the download. Flash in this sense refers to the sudden or serious nature of the event, and the fact that it could have quite an impact for those directly affected.

At the weekend, Jackpot Factory ran a promotion.

At 5:30 GMT they E-mailed at least 1000 winners as follows, only half an hour before the tournament started (which was the prize).

Yes, the tournament was in the lobby, but it wouldn't let anyome in!!!
The original error "you must be invited to play", was replaced with "registration has closed".

Somehow, 17 players had managed to register, in what must have been a VERY short window of opportunity, less than half an hour.

Then, instead of starting, the tournament went into "cancelled", and a few minutes later was deleted from the lobby altogether.

This means that some 900-1000 players had the E-mail, but the instructions in it were a complete nonsense, given the time constraints, a fix was urgent, hence the prediction of a period of complete meltdown of CS till all 1000 winners knew what the hell happened.

Later, maybe because I got through to VIP and was able to detail the fault to them, they sent a revision to all winners. The tournament has been rescheduled for tomorrow, with a 24 hour window for invitees to register today. At this point, CS should have returned to normal loading, and I cancelled the warning.

With no evidence left now, none of you have much chance of guessing correctly, so no prizes today

With only 1000 players affected, those outside of this group will not appreciate that something went badly wrong, although with potentially 1000 people all trying to get hold of CS at once, there could have been quite an impact.

Here's an easier one.

I have it on good authority that it will be most beneficial for Jackpot Factory players to play the Thunderstruck slot this coming weekend, particularly if they are a VIP, and can do so in their VIP Lounge account. (Why do I suddenly see an image of Chris in my head at this point)

The more that play, the better the payout (this is the competition clue).

The challenge is to explain what the above means (don't start thinking it's obvious just because I said this was an easier one), it's probably about as easy as understanding the stock market
