Stake Casino is Not Recommended at Casinomeister
I'd have advised against this @LadyJelena

Dodgy outfit i.m.o.: a lot of the streamer 'controversy' etc. of the past years, may have been heavily influenced by/tied to some of the people behind Stake - assuming CM's stance on fake money streaming is - that it is bad?! I know they pumped some big money in a few Celeb's and influencers, but t.b.h. that is to me even more reason they should be severely scrutinized.

Just my 2 cents :)

And what’s up with the UK Stake? They seem to have about a dozen slots only with names I’ve never heard of before. What happened to their massive catalog of slots we keep seeing the streamers play?

I'd love to hear from the rep why they think it's in the spirit of responsible gambling to give certain big streamers and influencers a huge fee, have them gamble on max bets ($1000/1500) and doing bonus buys for tens of thousands for hours every single day.

Then there's also the rumor that said influencer accounts have access to the highest RTP settings on all slots whilst normal users are directed to low and mid-tier RTP versions. Ofcourse this is only a rumor.

I played at Stake last year through a VPN when they didnt run KYC and you could just go in and deposit through blockchain/ or whatever.

Never had any issues - instant withdraws etc. But have stopped playing there as they seem to be ramping up KYC requests so what was one time a safe option for crypto offshore gambling is alas no more.

I was surprised to see this thread as well - even though it's only a review at this stage, the ongoing damage caused by the streamer "controversy" (I'll be similarly polite, I suspect others may have a more colourful description ?) has been one of the biggest stories of the past two or three years to regulated and unregulated markets alike. Particularly ironic given the review wrongly states "We couldn’t find any mentions of Stake.com here on the forums – and that surprises us.", to be fair I can't find any mentions of Skate Casino either ?

Putting aside the rather large elephant in the room, and while I appreciate things are different between the crypto and regulated markets, the review also seems to be rather generous when it comes to the responsible gambling section:
  • The author states it's "not feasible" to offer deposit or loss limits - this is false as not only do many CM-accredited crypto casinos offer this, some allow you to control it without CS interaction.
  • The casino-provided explanation of their RG policy gives me vibes of the 32red RG controversy from a few years back - multiple manual steps to activate (must be done via email and wait for manual approval, cannot be done via live chat or the website, capped at 24 hours in the first stage, must reapply within a narrow window to increase to 1w-6m, or enter a dialogue for 6m+), but deactivation is automatic ("If we do not receive a response within a further 24-hrs, your account will be reopened and confirmed by email.")
When other crypto operators are offering a "full" responsible gambling suite (to the extent the technology allows them), I would expect a review to flag this up as a negative... especially when combined with the streamer "controversy", lax KYC behaviour (by current crypto standards) and no deposit limits.

So do not get it twisted, do not gamble, do not start, gambling is entertainment and entertainment only. You won't break even, you won't win, you won't do any of that, you understand? You will only go in to debt and ruin your life. I do this because I love it, i do it all the time. It's entertainment for people who can afford it, and thats it. You will lose! I'm loosing! I'm down millions.

Welcome to the forum @Stake :cheerleader:

Thanks for the very constructive feedback @jasonuk :) I guess this review is written from pure crypto player perspective, but I'll bring it out to team's attention

That's right.

and @goatwack

Indeed - the mind boggles. The business was started by an Australian funnily enough, where the govt. doesn't actually permit its use.

I like the tin shack HQ though:

And the alleged issues with cashing-out bets:

The ring of doom again Pragmatic Play - Streamers- Stupid Stakes - Unlicensed Gambling - Lack of effective jurisdiction.

But if you do gamble, even 20 bucks, then be ready to send your grandmas bank statements to some random people in a tax haven, because it's really important to know why your grandma sent you 50 bucks on your birthday and where she got that 50 bucks. I mean we're hunting some serious money launderers here. I mean Bin Laden is small potatoes when comparing to the average gambler who deposits 50 bucks a month. I mean they could be laundering money for El Chapo and the cartels, but luckily we have the top pros on the case. :D

Registration: Easy few steps.

Deposit start: Went fluent, transaction in the network got registered fast.

Deposit progress link to the blockchain: Was broken, said "no such address"

Contact support: Got asked for bitcoin address, which I provided, guy asked for some time. Got back one minute later and provided correct url on blockchain so I could follow my transaction. Received the funds like 20 minutes later. (later, I've had deposits credited within seconds though)

Gameplay: Fluent, various vendors, no interruptions.

Withdrawal: Easy, instantly processed, just need to wait for the network to approve before the funds hit your wallet. My first bitcoin withdrawal took 52 minutes.

The only downside? Processing fees, but lets trust in the power of the lightning network for the long term.

Overall: Easy pass.

#ad! do not get it twisted, do not gamble, do not start, gambling is entertainment and entertainment only. You won't break even, you won't win, you won't do any of that, you understand? 10 million!!!!

Hahaaaaaaaaaaa!!

Oh it’s all his. It’s all his.

Next week they’ll be a 5 million euro bonus hunt to celebrate this incredible occasion.

Fucking laughable and any casino that promotes these clowns are a shit show. Come to think of it any affiliate program that endorses said casino are just as bad.

There are no morals anywhere anymore. Including here. Hang ur heads in shame. Anything for a sign up eh??

There does seem to be a steady stream of crypto casinos coming out and I had tried a number of them. Winz and bets.io have been pretty good so far but others will be good for a while ie processing cashouts timely until they suddenly start to stall even the smallest of payments. No valid reasons are provided and they just tell you to wait indefinitely. Happened to me at bitdreams and now its joo casino. It does seem the wild fluctuation in bitcoin prices had an effect on them. I shall be trying stake but I couldnt receive their sms code for verification of my phone number.

Was talking to my cousin about this the other day.

It's not just morals that are lacking everywhere I look, but the shame that used to come with seems to be missing also. Not just at casinos but literally everywhere. Governments, corporations, companies, and casinos, big and small, seem to be foaming at the mouth right outside my windows like rabid dogs ready to screw me over before smiling sweetly and bare-faced lie to deny.

Maybe I'm a dinosaur, ready to quietly slip away into the background. But since when did crooks become so blatant and so in your face without recourse?

What happened to thieves lurking shamefully in the shadows? Now they are bold as brass wearing lies proudly on their social media chests, laughing down the champers at the lack of consequence.

To be fair, I hear Stake pay, and there are many casinos out there much, much worse, and also far, far better. But yes, nicely pointed out that there is no such thing as being unable to provide RG tools by @jasonuk .

p.s. I should add, this was a post about morals. And I don't class CM among whom I mention. Casinomiester has been a source of sense for me and my gateway to knowledge of the industry. I think the RG thing is mere oversight.
