LOL...me too Spear, although I try and avoid red meat as much as possible. Makes me too aggressive

I remember some place in west Texas that offered a 70 oz steak free if you can eat it all. :)

As you can see, Kimss exhibited neither elation nor depression - instead, he put together a very detailed account of what happened :)

I presume that Kimss has probably already deleted that casino with all of the others - and if he hasn't, as long as he's controlling his play with $50 deposits I don't think there's all that much to worry about :)

I am with Spearmaster on this one. The cries in this thread to Kimss about him being a pathological gambler, that he ought to request all casinos to close his account, quit the internet altogether, are somewhat incongruous imho. Kim has recognized that he has a problem stopping after scoring some big hits(he has some savvy with the latter that i haven't mastered yet!) and he seems to be working on that problem. Is it much different from someone with a smaller bankroll having difficulty to stop when he has reached $500 or $1000? If you won $5K six months ago and proceed to lose it since then in a long procession of unlucky deposits aren't you really in the same boat as he?

I have really appreciated Kim's very honest, well written posts in the last couple of weeks. I found them refreshing, learned a lot from them, and found them a much needed antidote to the fairytale land, aka the Winning Screenshot thread, where none of us live "happy forever after". There are lots of people, not necessarily frequenting this forum, who have one problem or another: obesity, alcohol, adultery, illegal drugs, cheating on your tax return, the list is endless. What about these "astute investors" who poured lots of money in hot real estate that is now going south? If you want to label people, aren't many of them pathological gamblers, too, but disguised as astute investors who, sadly, just timed the market incorrectly? It just isn't helpful labeling and pigeonholing people.

None of us are saints. So, let's not pick on Kim just because he had the courage to display his dilemma in painful honesty.

Kimss claims to be "a cronic obsessive gambling addict".

Are you saying that is refreshing and Kimss should keep gambling?

Or maybe Kimss means something else when he says he is a "cronic obsessive gambling addict", but that is a pretty serious problem if it is true.

A polite correction here, Managra: No-one is "picking on" Kimss - the advice was offered with good heart and intention by those of us who think he might have a problem and should act appropriately.

72 ouncer

found it......The Big Texan in Amarillo.......gotta finish that steak in less than one hour or pay up, sucka!

a trucker who worked for the same outfit as me did it without a problem. his handle was "corn-fed" and he wound up getting the gastric bypass surgery

Thanks for the input Sodax77, but luckily I'm not the depressed or bipolar person who seeks salvation in prozac and other things that will most definately screw you up. I could agree it's depressing loosing money, but being depressed over it is simply not worth it in my opinion - since depression is in my personal opinion a destructive way of handling/ tackling reality. Sure I can weep and cry in this forum seeking some uplifting and understanding thoughts from you people, but being positive is the way of handling a problem - infact being positive is the way to solve all problems I would say.

Smile to the world, you might get a kick in the ass here and there, but ironically thats kinda funny so you could keep smiling even when getting a whoppin, :D

I do agree that I have problems when it comes to gambling, which pretty much explains me reaching out in this forum to get some feedback from minds who think alike. But gambling will never ruin my life. I am far to skillful and people-friendly, I'm a surviver. But again - it's kinda dumb gambling when I loose so much, and I'm making it way much harder on myself wasting all my success on the slots - all the time. If I'm really unlucky I'll probably stall my personall success for the rest of my life If I keep gambling, meaning I'll never really experience it... (Again - aslong as personal success is measured in having the most expencive car that is!).

But to sum it up: depressed - split personality, negativity, guilt and you know what - not me!

Sure it's true, and I'm not afraid of saying it out load since I don't consider it a secret. The only thing that could
happen is meeting one of you gyes at a Casino getting a kick in the ass instead of going kamikaze on a slot, :D

What I believe managra means by her comments, is that it is refreshing to see someone like me standing up against the usual crow. After all, people in gamble forums are quick to tell the world when winning $1000 (Even if spending $2000), but when people are loosing you usually don't say anything. Me doing this, surely is giving support to more people than a lousy winning screenshot does. Most of us loose, and I guess it's nice to see other people admitting that it's not all a dance on roses, :)

For me, it's kinda stupid going "public" in a forum like this, however I don't see any problems with it. Big brother is all over us anyways, so those who needs to know would have no problem knowing I'm wild when it comes to slots - to wild!

I do not consider it picking, by sticking out my head it's easy to get it chopped off as they say. I cant expect that all people should be on my side. We are practically in different camps here.

People who havn't lost much money will most likely look at me as a nutcase, people who have lost much but havnt been on rock bottom will most likely think I'm a big time looser. People who have seen rock bottom will symphasize with me. It's many different camps in here.

I'm a honest man, often to honest. If you ask me if your shirt is nice and it's not - it's not! People who doesn't want an honest opinion usually don't ask me, :D

But that's me, so people can say what they want to me - I'm usually not offended. However, I reserve my right to defend myself if I feel offended, :D

BURGER PEOPLE - Look at this one :

The burger is enormous! It consists of 6 pounds of beef, one large onion, two whole tomatoes, a half head of lettuce, 1 1/4 pounds of cheese, top and bottom buns, and a cup each of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, banana peppers and some pickles.

Eat it in 3 hours and it's free, :D

But it looks like the deal is gone, the original link was :
Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

If you visit the site, and click the burger on the left they still have an amazing large burger here :

Only six pounds? Vegas Club has the following:

the 9 pound "Big Daddy Burger." Served with a bun 12" in diameter, a half head of lettuce, two tomatoes, two onions, four pickles, mayo, mustard and 12 slices of American cheese, the burger big enough to feed a softball team is available for $49.99. If one person finishes the burger within 24 hours, it is free!

With all this talk about mega-burgers and mega-steaks, I'm asking that the post be renamed to "When blowing chunks is a good thing" ;)

P.S. And I'm surprised that, out of 7 pages, no one has asked EVEN ONCE who this 2k person is. :eek2: :D

Holy minced meat... LOL... 24 hours!!

I regularly do Triple Whoppers (that's as big as they get here, and only just... was hard to get a double Whopper before late last year!). Putting down a couple of pounds of burger is not a hassle for me if it tastes good. But 9 pounds?

24 hours, I bet I could do it. But 6 pounds in three hours, very highly unlikely...

72 ounce steak in an hour? No way Jose. I'd put a damn good dent in it, but no way in an hour I could finish that...

Kim - some of the posters in this thread are certainly offering friendly advice, and if you are indeed a chronic obsessive gambler I would certainly agree that you should take this advice seriously.

It's just that I don't personally believe Kim really has a problem :)

Well, I might have went a little overboard with the names just to illustrate a point. And I do take all the advice seriously you should know, and I'm very happy that we have got a very healthy conversation going on here, something you rarely get to do when talking with people inside say a casino. You usually get the same story there, talk about winning and they are all ears, but talk about loosing and ways of avoid doing the huge dive's, people vanish like you have the black plague.

On the other hand, it's hard to sound all nice and gullable all the time, :D

spearmaster said:

Well, I obviously have a problem with not being able to call it quits when all is good - there lies a monster I need to defeat. And, looking at my stats - had I been able to do this my experience online would infact not be bad at all! But playing directly from the bank account, the few times I went overboard became pretty more overboard than they would normally have been...

I realize I sound a bit different in my tone now than when I wrote the thread, but thats probably since I've been deep in working past days and have gotten some distance of my irritating 50 Euro lesson. Hopefully - there is a lesson for more than just me in this little adventure, hehe.

That's not what i was saying. The problem with communication is that people only want to hear/read what suits them and skip everything else.

Yes, that was exactly what i meant.

You are absolutely correct, jetset, and i apologize for my poor choice of wording.

As i mentioned in a previous post, none of us are saints so it's a bit human nature and a self-defensive gesture to point the finger at someone who is even less of a saint than we are (in his approach towards gambling that is; in other aspects of life, who knows, this "sinner"/'flawed character" may be way ahead of the pack).

So, kimss, i hope you continue your Dostoyevksy posts here at CM.
