What MG slot's hot - and what's not!

Slots

I have noticed what appear to be highs and lows in the slots. I once ran Thunderstruck for well over 700 spins without a single feature, over a number of visits during a wager tournament. In the end it gave a normal win of 5 hammers with wild Thor, which brought the overall return to what would be expected. But the point is that a free spins slot should give free spins, as this is why they are played. Strangely, I was getting a pair of Rams frequently, but the third just would not fall, which makes be wonder if the RNG selects beforehand whether free spins will be given before the spin rather than the reels independently spinning and the Rams turning up or not. I note that "wizardofodds" states that Video slots do not use "weighted reels", so the Rams should appear in view on each reel with a probability depending on the number of rams on that reel. The symbol band for a video slot can be large, and may contain only one ram. The frequency of seeing 2 rams, but not three suggests that some reels have more rams than others, and one or two reels probably only have one, as 4 rams is rare, and I have never seen all 5, but I have had 5 "scatters" frequently on the "5 Reel Drive" slot, which are worth less.
If the win of 5 rams came up in free spins, the feature return could exceed the JP from normal mode. I frequently see casinos posting winners of "free spin jackpots", so this is something that must happen.

I have also played Thunderstruck in "Hot" mode, where I was frequently hitting the free spins every 50 to 100 spins for some period.
I have been interested in this sort of analysis of the games myself, and have run a few experiments. I have done one for 100,000 spins of Jurassic Jackpot, and I have done others on the Blackjack games, which have been the subject of much debate in the past.

I believe the feature slots are more volatile due to the large wins possible in the feature mode, but this means that if you fail to get the feature for an extended period the overall return is much lower that expectation, and the temptation to carry on for the feature which "must surely come soon", in order to recover is evident.

If the expected hit rate is one in 150 spins, then a 700 spin famine is not too far fetched, but before this I had found the longest spell without a feature to lie between 300 and 400 spins. I also find that often the free spin mode is rather poor, sometimes with not a single win for the 15 free spins, not even the regular small ones, and as soon as the spins are over the small wins start coming again.

hot : Tomb Raider deposited $300 and played with $15 per spin. Got the 10 Spins 8x (!) in a half hour for $4400 at the end
best run was consecutive 30 Freespins, with 4x Lara during the Games

neutral : Big Kahuna ca. 100 spins, no features but nothing lost because monkeys came very often x2 and x3

cold : Spring Break lost $1400 back with $22.50 spins quickly, without freespins

Hi,

I think it would be interesting saying the casino that we play to...

roxy palace :
thunder- 450 spins - 3 features ; betting 0.45 won - 26..., 32,... 6
gems g.g. - 160 spins - 2 features ; betting 0.50 won - 1.2 and 6.7

32red(this casino is great)
thunder 6670 spins ( left it play to play wile i was sleeping :)) i don't now the features that came out, but my pot went from 150 to 620... what a good breakfast i had today...

Don't you notice that when you are playing with a bonus the slots don't pay equal, from when you play without a bonus?

Adios.

I have never ever played slots, and have just sent $50 deposit to Lucky Nuggett for a $200 bonus.

Could I ask for advice which slots to play there, or are they all the same more or less?

Also should I just stay with the same game till I exhaust the bonus, or change games.

Tks

How do you have over $800 in there if you're only up 100?

Agreed - totally BRILLIANT!!

I'm only going to talk about one slot today, my favorite!

Absolutely ON FIRE! Tomb Raider! 231 spins, 9 features (1/26), $248/+$100 = +40%

Started at 5c/line, and got 6 features in first 130 spins. Feeling the heat, I upped it to 10c/line and got 3 more features before Laura went cold on me. :(

The screenshot was the result of the last feature: 3 Laura's + 3 more + 3 Idols + 3 more Laura's! :D

If I had stopped there I would have been $145 up without even hitting ANY big wins. But I carried on & it died (44 spins of zip), so I quit when my profit dropped to $100.

No they are not all the same! This thread is mainly about the 'Bonus Slots' - 9 and 15 lines.
I personally find these the most exciting to play because the bonus can sometimes pay very big!
I strongly recommend you try out various ones in 'fun mode' to get a feel of what you like before playing for real.
Also, definitely switch between different slots - good runs don't last forever, however bad runs do!

Slotchik: You get 'blonder' every day! ;)
I made $100 profit on just that one session on that one slot. Get it?
As a matter of interest, that $872 started off as a deposit of just $100. :D

Still icy! What on Earth: 150 spins, 1 feature which paid the minimum (x3) :(

I seem to get the x3 on the first feature about 7 out of 10 sessions, but then very rarely see it in subsequent features.
Has anyone else noticed this 'non random' aspect of this slot???

Tks KK

Have just done $2500WR of the $5000 for the Lucky Nuggett $200 bonus.

I was down to my last $18 and was waiting to bust, but I have just won $211 on the 15 free spins at Spring Break. One was $200 but I've no idea exactly what I got. So I'm now back up to $229. [played 9L/5C].

Played 8 different games and was just gradually going down on each. Got spins on SB after 18,19,40 but also 151 and 330. Thunderstruck went 98 and 222 but only got $10. The others I played 100 games then left without any spins.

First time on slots and was just about to leave never to return. Will see how the last $2500 goes.

got a little $5 comp from Platinum play and was able to play on that for 3 days straight and get enough loyalty points for August to maintain silver status. I kept hitting on Fortune Lounge 9 reel slot that is in the fortune lounge casinos programs. I worked it up to almost $400 playing 9 cents at a time some times due to my little $5 comp.

FORTUNE LOUNGE SLOT
SPRING BREAK
CRAZY CAMELEON (won $200 on a 50cent bet)

these slots were hot Sunday 8/14 thru 8/16

WTG!
As a matter of interest, you might like to know I have been playing online for over 4 years, but only started playing slots less than a year ago. (After seeing the 'Winner Screenshots' thread here! :D ).
Prior to that I had thought they would be a bad bet - like UK 'fruit machines' for example. But I subsequently found they are 100 x better than them! Great fun, and often profitable.
Of course, you will suffer quite large swings up & down in your bank balance, but if you're careful and sensible they can be just as likely to make you profit as any other casino game.*
Since starting to play slots, my overall monthly profits have not dropped at all - in fact they have gone up slightly. I haven't analysed exactly what impact slots have had on my figures - and as long as I'm in the black and having fun I don't really care!

Good luck in finishing your WR with profit!

*Disclaimer: Many people say it is impossible to profit in the long run from any casino game. I am not going to argue with this.

OH!!!!!!!!!! LOL ok....
sorry KK..I misunderstood.....

what mg slots are hot!

Well for me i would have to say srping break started playing on monday with the free $$ i won from prepaidatm :) Beleive it or not bj got me started, got up to around 300 playing vegas strip, went to spring break hit the trucks for $420.

Ok took a chance played some more bj. Went back to spingbreak hit the ladies for $420. Yes i can be a sucker for the game of blackjack and i went back to play it again, made a quick $300 cahsed in thast night for $1850.

Started playing tuesday with the $150 i left myself, hit the bonus round on springbreak for $1400 2 other bonus features that paid about $300 each. At this point i cashed in some more $$$. Went back to spring break in 70 spins i hit $750 twice, cahsed in some more...lol played more bj.

Ok all was said and done i cashed in $6000!!!! and casino classic has pulled my cashin for me ( no hitting that rerverse button for me..lol)
There support was great they had verified they received all my documents (of course i had sent them those early in the day as i know the routine)

I did try cashville and found that to be cashless as well as the golden goose games.

good luck all!!!!

KK, you are so right, and if only I would listen to myself and to your advice, lol. I played on Friday night and Saturday day. I managed to triple my deposits a couple of times with both Thunderstruck and Spring Break, only to lose it all back when they went cold. Had I left and gone on to play something else, I'm sure I would have done much better. I played at Spin Palace (2 deposits), All Slots and All Jackpots.

I NEVER know when to quit. So switch up slots is great advice. (anything except Lara Croft that is.....she's a thief, lmaooo...)

You may find it more entertaining, but i can assure that you wont increase your expected payout by trying to detect if a slot is hot or not. If you could, they are cheating.

No Raol what I meant is that eg. I will take 500 spins on Thunderstruck, I will triple my deposit, but then instead of moving on to try something else, I will continue to take another 1000 or more spins on the same slot, even though I hit absolutely nothing after that. I just sort of think that if you have a run of 500 decent spins, eventually the slot is going to take back the money you won, as opposed to continuing to pay out more. Just my theory, although I never listen to myself. :)

Generic house edge on slots: 5%.

Progressives are even worse.

House edge on baccarat: approx. 1%

Video poker (JOB): under 0.5%

Blackjack (best): 0.36%.

...and the latter two are Microgaming only. All the other providers have better games than these, in terms of player return.

My point - if it wasn't apparent - is that the above-quoted passage it complete, nonsensical piffle.

The only advice to give anyone unfortunate enough to be following this thread in the hope of finding anything that will help them to win playing slots is: ignore everything posted in this thread and don't play slots.

If you want entertainment, look for the "streaks" in a good blackjack game (which don't actually exist, but I'm trying to learn the slot-junkie lingo to communicate better) and vary your betting accordingly, without pressing too hard and risking too much. Alternatively, try the same on high-return video poker: when you feel the hot cards a-comin', move up a denomination and ride the "streak" for all it's worth.

Trust me on this one.

Kasino King: absolutely shame on you for perpetrating this BS and utter nonsense.

Is there anyone here who plays strictly for enjoyment? Personally, that's all I do, which is why I play slots. I like the graphics, occasional big payout, whatever. If I happen to win and cashout, that is strictly a bonus. But I never play TO cashout, if that makes any sense. When I make a deposit, I have already kissed that money goodbye.

lol

I have never used "piffle" in a sentence...until now...lol.

I am very much enjoying this thread...I like reading who is winning and losing on what game and at which casino.

Is it applicable info???

Probably not...but, I'll hold judgement until I see KK's final grid.

Carry on,

the dUck

Well I've just finished the $5,000WR on my first ever slots for a $200 bonus [$50 deposit].

KK you did say there will be highs and lows.

After $2500 I was on $229 after being down to $18.

I decided to stay on Spring Break, against your advice, the last $2,500 as I had lost on all the other games.

Went down to $124, then back up to $270, then I won $230.

From $500 I went down and have just finished at $279.

So with the bonus I am $229 up. If it wasn't for the 2 $200s I won, would have bust long ago and I doubt I would risk $250 of my own money on slots.

But am going to look for other $50/$200 first time bonuses if there are any.

Hey Antibes, I know that All Jackpots is offering a 400% signup bonus if you don't have an account there. As is Ruby Fortune (for slots only). I think Ruby's is still valid, as I just today grabbed a banner from the affiliate site. Click around the Meister site, and see if you can find a banner for either one. I know for sure Ruby Fortune is $200 max bonus, not sure about All Jackpots.

Here's the link to Meister's accredited casinos list. Both Ruby and All Jackpots are on there, and they both offer deposit 50, get 200.

I think we're all agreed that ALL casino games have a house edge, right?
Therefore, no matter what you play, if you play it long enough you ARE going to lose, right?
All games have variance - swings up and down in your fortune, regardless of what the house edge is, right?
Therefore I think my statement 'your just as likely to profit from slots as any other game' is completely valid.
You are equally just as likely to lose too! :p

Let just agree to disagree, right? ;)

Antibes: Great result!
Spin Palace & Ruby Fortune are good ones to go for - they have monthly bonuses that put Bellerock, Trident lounge, Fortune Room, and Jackpot Factory to total shame! :D
If you PM me an e-mail address I can send you a list of 85-ish MG's with WR details on an Excel spreadsheet. (Rather out-of-date, but still handy!)

I checked my MG figures last night - played about 12-15 different ones since August 2004 (98% of which was slots play) and my profit from them is around $950. Not fantastic I know, but a whole lot better than losing! ;) (All deposits had a bonus attached).

Jackpot Factory

While Spin Palace have good bonuses (I get something each week), the Jackpot Factory have by far the best wager tournaments & prizes, beaten only by VIPs at 32Red. The current tournament has a $/ 2000 top prize, and this only has to be wagered 5x, and VP is allowed, only Roulette, Craps and BJ are not. The downside with Spin Palace is the lack of a live scoreboard, and the habit of not posting tournament results on the date promised.

And now for my best win off a slots cashback bonus!
I got this with my play after one of their "cashback" promotions which had not gone too well this time (usually I hit the worst paying slots with my deposits with the cashback and this often pays). This time it didn't, so played a little VP (after completing slots WR of course!), which clearly paid off, making up for the dire slots experience.

Slots - STONE COLD
VP - HOT!!!!
