Hey all,

Just a message to let you all know I will stop playing online slots.
What I have endured with online slotting in the last couple of months is just beyond ridiculous.
People will quickly answer and say it is just a bad streak.
No,this is different, this has nothing to do anymore with bad luck or a bad streak.

There are many threads were people say that they feel the slots have changed, or the way they "pay" and play.
We all laugh it away as it is all tinfoil hat related crap and it is all the players perception.
Now,I have played slots since I was legally able to do so and that is now nearly 25 years so I think I have the right to say that I would have a reasonable good judgement on things.
And my judgement and also my gut feeling tell me it is time to walk away from online slotting and stop wasting my hard earned money on it.
When the entertainment value stops and annoyance is the only reward it is time to jump ship.
There are many slots out there that are an insult to the online slot player.

I love playing slots and I always will but I for now I am gonna stick to my local b&m casino where I can sit with a few Euro once in a while and have some fun with the locals.
It is funny actually as online slots are said to have better payouts than any b&m slot will ever have but for me over all those years I have done 10 times better in b&m casino's.
I walked away many times with a good profit in my pocket whilst online I very seldom make a decent profit.

I can accept that most of the times you will lose your deposit as that is a Murphy's Law in gambling.
The odds are always in favor of the casino.
But when your play time is also reduced to shreds because the slot developers have tweaked their slots in a way to even squeez the last bit of entertainment out of them in order to fill their pockets even quicker.
100 Euro is nothing. Any slot, any casino, it doesn't matter.

Netent are rapidly changing their slots to the new HTML format and they have taken out the opportunity to make the reels stop instantly, removed the option to play with lesser paylines and i.m.h.o the game play has changed.
I can start and mention loads of examples but let's leave it for now.
I will say Tornado Farm Escape and see how often the feature triggers with the clouds on reel 1 and 5.
It was not hard to trigger this feature at all. I have played this slot a lot!
Since available on the HTML version it completely changed and would miss the cloud on reel 5 over and over and over again.
As a frequent player of the slot I noticed this and it is hard to not see that this feature hits less frequent.

Microgaming, the champions of bankroll destroying slots as they will bore you to death with endless sessions of non winning spins and features not triggering, 2 scatters 50 million times and when the third one finally hits it will reward you with 10x or less on the free spins. Needless to say your bankroll has already suffered major to even get the free spins.
The classics like TSII, IR, TFROL for example, 5 OAK pays have been minimised so hard it is hard to not see that.
I could play those slots for hours and remain on the same balance or have a good profit.
Now 100 Euro on €0.60 - €0.90 bets will be gone in 30 minutes or less as all you get is 3 OAKS that pay less than 1x bet and FS are so hard to trigger.

I can go on and on but I think I have made my point.

To slots developers I would say, think carefully what way you are going because you will start to lose players.
I have given them the benefit of the doubt thinking I was just having bad luck but after a while you start to see the pattern and figure out it is useless to play them.

This is just purely my own observation which have brought me to the conclusion and decision to give up the online slots.
This decision has not been made after a huge loss or whatever but has been an accumulation of frustrating sessions where there was no mentionable wins or decent play time.

I love this place and I will still participate in the forum as there are other things besides online slots to be discussed from time to time.

I am taking my early steps in affiliating and this forum is a great board with loads of knowledgeable people and there are always good threads about other things.
Besides that there are many nice people here so I defo gonna stay around.

Just not worth spending my money on.

True, the fact that I cannot enjoy playing online anymore was the main reason to quit for now.
Feeling every 100 Euro deposit is gonna end in a bust no matter what slot and what stake you play.
Greed from the developers ruin the whole slotting experience for players and now even low variance slots play like crap.

HTML5 slots are exactly the same as before mate. It's just they recycle your money faster and you lose quicker - if you're going to lose.

I can understand that when you are on a seemingly endless bad run things seem the way you express them.

The developers would have to re-submit all their games for auditing at quite a cost if they changed the parse values or RTPs when offering them in html5. The games are the same as before, but just crappier to play. On Netent you click the reels and the animations should stop and also you can speed them up in the settings on html5.

Remember even if you have a 99.9% RTP slot, keep playing it over and over without withdrawing at the right time and you'll always lose.

When the entertainment value stops and annoyance is the only reward it is time to jump ship.

I specifically play them to get annoyed, frustrated and start firing out expletives in all directions - that's the fun!

I did mention Twin Spin in your other thread about Gnatent html5 games. The reels are less sharp, the sounds pathetic and like you I've noticed the variance seems different. It also spins faster so you lose quicker which could be what people are noticing. The clone reels 3+ occur quicker and with less hesitation to build that tension up. So yes, I absolutely avoid it now, doesn't seem kosher any more.

It's still in flash at Sky Vegas where I play it. But yes, the game is very different now in html5. I won't touch it which annoys me as one of my favourites. Using the start/stop you can get through insane amounts of spins, I've done 45 in a minute! I simply don't trust it now. You think that's bad, try the Rhino in html5!!

I always found IR to be a very tough slot.

Today I have had about 15 MG bonuses on nice sized bets. And as usual the 10-30x. Can be very frustrating that a slot milks you of hundreds to hit the bonus and then pays you back like 10% of what you lost.

Spinning faster means more profit for the casinos. I can no longer play NetEnt, I think they've bit on the forefront (right term?) for that.

For years and upon years I've read the "online blackjack is rigged" kind of threads, and it's always down to so many more hands than landbased per hour, rather than the actual streaks.

Even my favourite Blazing Sevens landbased were all replaced with newer models that just spin faster.

I'm unsure what games you are playing, but an awful lot of recent offers are slow drip feeders, with no real possibility of decent returns, just "extended" play sessions that are not all that extended due to higher spin rates.

If I hit something half decent in my local b&m I will post screenies from those in the appropriate section.
Also will keep following the new slots releases.
If one day something is released that would tickle my senses I probably will have a go at it anyway, knowing myself.
I have closed the majority of my casino accounts yesterday and boy it feels good.
Have left only 2 casino accounts open for (maybe) future purposes.

For now I will focus on the affiliate aspects of slotting and actually try and make a few pound instead of losing it.

I actually feel good about that because I like others am getting sick of throwing my money away and not getting any entertainment. good promos are still around. the other day i got 50 free spins from Lapalingo and won a little bit under $130 with them. And i only had to wager it 75 times, with max cashout of $100. I think thats a very cute promo.

Obviously not as good as wager $2,500 get $20 "free" bonus money, that has to be wagered 30 times or whatever was that promo but if anything its just as good imo.

I dont like this new era of slotting. They are trying to make more innovative looking slots but in return the payouts are absolute nightmare. Been 25 days now without depositing. Feels good!

Only had a couple of 'pangs of temptation', and they came and went early on. Those impulses hit pretty hard out of nowhere don't they

But I find abstaining easy....the longer I go without, the more I don't want to 'undo' my resolve. In fact I've proven that I'm in control here.

So when my monthly slot hiatus is up, I'll have to be very selective about where I deposit. I expect casinos to roll out the red carpet to woo me with groundbreaking offers (or not), but once that's gone it's another month of wait.

I want all casinos to set the RTP meter at maximum for my arrival
