Following on from discussions in other threads about Microgaming slots running 'Hot and Cold', I thought I'd start this thread so we can share info to see if it's true, or just codswallop! :p
If people post what they're finding each day, others can have a try and see if there's any pattern!

Here's mine for today (so far!):-

Cold: What on Earth - 550 spins, just 4 crap features. :(
Cold: Thunderstruck - Feature on spin 23, then nothing for 200 spins.

Hot: Tomb Raider - 188 spins, 2xIdols, 4xLauras! (Won back all my WoE loss + interest! ;) )
Hot: Spring Break - 110 spins, FOUR features!

Spring Break feature on spin 94 - won 86$ at 90 cents...

Went on to Tombraider...

3 idols on spin 32 - won 11.10$ at 75 cents
3 idols on spin 110 - won 22.40$ at 1.50$

Everything else was pants with Lara and I left after 150 spins had cost me 30$

Oh.. went to Thunderstruck - feature on spin 8 - won 1.05$ on 9cents spin - rather crappy.

Free spins again at spin 46 - won 1.65$ on 9cents spin

Managed to do 150 spins from my original 1.80$ bankroll spinning at 9cents before I went bust...

not that this thread will actually measure anything..

(though if it does, it could prove that the slots are cheating)

But it would make more sense to post your percentage returns for each slot (total won/total wagered).

Talking simply about how many features you hit is like trying to find out the final score of a baseball game but only talking about singles.... Features are just part of the story. The rate of return (and whether that changes from day to day or week to week) is what would give you the most complete information.

My prediction is that MG slots don't cheat and that you will find no statistically significant variation in the payouts thru time.

Hi Jamie,

I think you've missed the point of this thread.
I'm not trying to prove the slots are 'cheating' or to establish what the overall payment over a long period of time is. (I expect that to be 90-95% - so what? I don't care!)

The idea is just to see if the same slot is hot (or not) across all the various MG casino's at the same time.
It's just a bit of fun really - but it would be VERY interesting is there was a link.

I thought about adding the P/L stats, but again that is not the point of the thread, and it would be asking too much of some people.
When people play the bonus feature slots what they want to get are the features - and lot's of them! (Am I right, or am I right?)

PS: Your Baseball reference: I have not the faintest idea what you're talking about!!! :D
(And I don't want to know - we don't play rounders in England. ;) )

the less sense you make!! How could you possibly measure whether a slot is "hot" or not except via payout? You completely contradict yourself if you say you don't care about it. If a slot is hot, it will have a higher payout. If slots are actually hot at one time and not at another, this would be measured via payout. If this did actually change, the those machines would be cheating.

You ask for information and then claim you don't want it. You're like "Let's talk about which slots are hot, but let's not ACTUALLY try to figure anything out"

I have completely followed your point. I just took it the next level and you didn't follow.

Do you really want to measure whether slots are hot or do you just want to talk nonsense? If you want to just talk nonsense, I can try to remove myself from your conversations. If you actually want to figure anything out, I am very interested
:)

Jamie,
I want to talk nonsense.
I would greatly appreciate it if you would refrain from making any further comments in this thread (unless they are to simply give the information I am asking about - which is: what slots are you hitting lots of bonus features on?).
Thank you very much.

PS: If you want to start your own thread about % return from MG slots, I would be happy to supply lots of information for you!

I'm surprised you guys have such patience with non-paying machines... 200 spins? I go 8-10 spins with no payout, and I'm gone to another machine.

=why0why
I'm with Bruce. I can't stand to play hundreds of spins with no return.
C'mon guys!
You don't go hundreds of spins with no return on MG bonus slots!
You normally get lots of little wins to keep you ticking over until you're lucky enough to get the bonus feature. Sure you will be losing during those hundreds of spins (unless you get lucky and hit a biggie ;) ), but your rate of loss probably isn't as bad as you might imagine. The thing you're looking for though is the features which often pay back all your loss + interest.
The probability of hitting the feature varies from machine to machine; from something like once in 40-50 spins on double feature slots like Big Kahuna and Tomb raider, to 1 in 130-150 on single bonus slots like Thunderstruck & Spring Break. (Bruce, you need to be more patient! ;) )

Below is a sample picked at random from my 32Red log from June. (Small bets cos it's only a small bonus! ;) ) (And yes, I know my start & finish figures are rounded down to the nearest buck!)
This is what I would call running 'hot' - my average feature hit rate was 1 in 39. :)
But sometimes this slot goes over 200 spins with no features = 'cold' obviously! :(

tunisianswife: Very nice result!

Disclaimer (for the slot haters): It is impossible to profit in the long term from playing slots.

Just because you want to talk nonsense does not mean everyone else, or anyone else, has to do the same on the basis that you started the thread or whatever other basis. Nonsensical threads are permitted to have intelligent replies.

I must be a freak (I already knew that though), because I will sometimes go 400 or 500 spins with no feature on Thor and/or Spring Break. But eventually it will hit, and I usually win a good portion back.

Back on track, this thread is a great idea...I will be playing late tonight and/or tomorrow and will post and check here for what's up. I find that Spring Break also has been really good to me the last couple weeks or so.

Doesn't ANYONE play the classic single line slots anymore???

ftr, Sizzling Scorpions was true to its title yesterday, netting me 7 bonus rounds in around 100 spins :)

38 more spins hit $25 then hit the free spins for another $215 =)

Cashing out most now.

370 more spins and hit $355 $196 $87 and $83 as the biggest with lots more little wins of course.

The subject matter is not nonsense to bonus slot lovers who's main interest is in hitting lots of feature rounds (just take a look at some of the other players posts above). Of course people can post what they want, but it is a little bit annoying when it's off topic. :(
Jamie's post is very intelligent in regards overall payout percentages, but is not what this thread is about. (I confess my 1st post heading does not make that 100% clear, but I think the post itself does).
Jamie kindly offered to not make any more 'off topic' comments in this thread, and I respectfully asked him to do just that.
Perhaps you would be kind enough to do the same?
Thanks.

I love the idea of this thread, Kasino King because I really only enjoy playing slots. I hope it does not get off topic too much and folks will keep it going with their picks of hot slots.

Ok, I had a slots evening last night.

It was a very good day.

I don't count spins but usually set a $25 limit tops before I need to have hit. Sometimes I move on a lot earlier. I usually start betting around $1 and then bet around $2.

Thunderstruck hit a lot of small things, then I hit the free spins twice, collected around $100 and moved on when I hit nothing for some 10 spins.

Then I went through a number of the 5 line reels, like Belissimo. They were all hitting but low that day, I would leave $25 and walk with$50, so I took $25 from almost every one of those.

Then I moved to Big Kahuna, hit the chattering masks twice and the fruity scarifices once within a very short time. One mask feature was for the birds, I picked up another 50 on the other. The fruit thing never does much of anything for me.

Now I went to Whatonearth and I hit 5 of the "whatonearth" symbols on a payline. It payed $1,877. I moved on and played a bit here and a bit there, I withdrew $1,500. Then I played Tomb Raider, hit the free spins twice and picked up another $200. Finally I decided to go back to whatonearth and I hit the feature 3 times - the first two were nothing much but the third time I went to Cairo and picked up the mummy for a total of $900.

I withdrew another $1000. I still have money there to play.

It was the best hitting evening I had in a long time - and most everything I touched was hitting.

First chance I've had to play for 3 days :( and then only a short session:-

Frozen: What on Earth - 250 spins with no feature. (Wagered $54, lost $28 = -52%)

Warm: Spring Break. 122 spins to get feature, then hit twice more in next 25 spins! ($74/+$9 = +12%)
Very warm: Ladies Nite - 144 spins, 2 features. ($52/+$13 = +25%)

Hot!: Tomb Raider - 200 spins, 7 features! ($150/+$63 = +41%)

I love Laura Croft! :D

wow

Well, I found that lotsaloot was HOT for me Friday, Hit 1250.00 3 wilds..going diagonally....I about fainted...It's been long cold streak on MG slots. I had first done a dep....cause they emailed me offering me 100% bonus...but it was one of those places with the bonus account, played my 25 off...then went and played the bonus 25
well......first big hit ever ON GG...winning wizards, 2nd spin, the GG came out with the cards, and i got free spins with x5..i think....hit 5 books!!! 200$$
and i wondered how the heck I was going to get it out of bonus account...lol
Well..kept playing..finally got to move 188 to my real account....
played LotsaLoot....and whammm 1250....

Today, I did a dep of 50, and played almost all day, balance kept going up and down...seemed all the old slots were paying off, mermaid millions, winning wizard GG hit 5 scatters for me..Finally I cashed out 100, had about 75 left...hit some here and there...
When I had my pot built up...I thought..what the heck..and played Treasure nile...figured I would just play a few..since it's 4.50 a spin..a little rich for my blood. Anyway....I hit 5 snake symbols with wilds, 2 ways...for a little over 500....got 3 scatters with it too....
Well...cashed out 400, total of 500 now...and played on the rest....Hit 5 lizards on Big Kahuna, cashed out nother 100....HIT 150 a couple of times on the Non-GG totem treasure, hit 120 free spins on munckin...and a couple of others..can't remember.
all total...cashed out 1000.00!!!!

Now i got 2/ 1000 cashouts pending...dont' care what the slots haters think....THAT IS MONEY :) on 75$

Agreed - totally BRILLIANT!!

I'm only going to talk about one slot today, my favorite!

Absolutely ON FIRE! Tomb Raider! 231 spins, 9 features (1/26), $248/+$100 = +40%

Started at 5c/line, and got 6 features in first 130 spins. Feeling the heat, I upped it to 10c/line and got 3 more features before Laura went cold on me. :(

The screenshot was the result of the last feature: 3 Laura's + 3 more + 3 Idols + 3 more Laura's! :D

If I had stopped there I would have been $145 up without even hitting ANY big wins. But I carried on & it died (44 spins of zip), so I quit when my profit dropped to $100.
