What are you listening to?

Ohhh my god I cannot believe I've gone so long without knowing about this magnificence. My Girls Aloud collection is growing steadily and I'll need to get my hands on this gem. This one's lyrics really described my day (and the countless other days like today)

Ya, ya, not a video. Still a good soundtrack if you're in the mood.

Thanks to all.

I enjoy popping in and jumping around the posts, listening here and there.

My taste ranges from Evanescence to Leonard Cohen to staind to Dire Straits to.... well... you get the idea.... LOL.

Someone at work said something today that made this song pop into my head. I have rediscovered Mumford and Sons.

Thanks to all for your posts and links. I really enjoy checking out the different music.

What I do sometimes is find an artist on youtube that I like, then look for other artists who do the same song.

I started with Adele ( I'm a new fan, I have to say). Steady as She Goes. I knew I knew that song from somewhere else....

So then I went on search... yep! The Raconteurs... (I'm crazy about Jack White anyway.... I think he's something of a musical genius, and under rated)

Make mine alot of vodka's :D,(not too many though lol) was listening to Metallica earlier(best godforsakken heavy metal band EVER!! period!!) I'm a rock chick FOREVER!!

Lol.I'm into uite a bit of stuff but heavy rock isn't my sort of thing-KOL is about as far as I go with rock-sort of indie rock I like,stereophonics/travis/stone roses etc, though I do like some of the old stuff-some of Ozzy's old stuff, bit of status quo etc.

Into a lot of R'n'B/Rap-Tupac/Biggie,and I don't mind a few old skool dance tunes for the weekend like dance by apollo etc.

I love Nirvana, could listen to some of their stuff on repeat for hours.

Nirvana songs I agree with you, never heard of the last Nirvana song you mentioned, but yea I have the Black Album, my bro plays guitar and he sounds like Kurt Cobain when he sings( he absolutely does, he has the same raspiness to his voice(I sing too BTW, have been singing since I was 8, though I don't want fame and fortune, your life is not your own when you become famous, the public own you, I sound more like a cross between Alanis Morisette and Shania Twain)).

To answer your Q I don't know even 1 word of portuguese lol, know some french and some spanish and Gaelic, but that is as far as my linguistic talents take me.

Caledonia actually means Scotland in Gaelic, it's one of my best loved songs, I've listened to it many times

related to portuguese, thats funny.... we portuguese must understand, speak and write at least in english (including all the countries that speak in english/amercan....), spanish, french, german, (if you dont know that you never go to high scholl) lol
people of those countries dont know 1 word from our language lol

We call high school=secondary school, we were only taught French, I topped the class my first year there with 97% out of 100% on my first test, but I didn't like the way the teacher was all petty toward me after it, so I stopped doing as well in tests lol, learned just a little gaelic in Religion, picked up the rest from family and friends, it's strange how we were only taught just 1 language, I bet now in that same school, the kids are taught more languages, I never done anything productful in my life(apart from having children) I do regret it from time to time, but then I look at my kids and I know I've down something right :)

I like Nirvana, but I ain't big into them, not a true fan...I'm more of a true Metallica fan..but I got screwed over when they were doing concerts here(both Dublin and Belfast:mad:, boy was I mad...next time I'm defo gonna see them...DEFINITELY!!)

here is
1st cycle (scholl) from 1st to 4th class
secondary scholl from 5th to 12
high scholl or university after that.....

here most of the people (including the people that have less studies) know to speak french english and spanish because its the strong here....
we are a country that live from turists in big part of time.... so we must know how to answer their questions "can you please tell me how do i get to X place" "can you please tell me the price" etc etc etc lol

childrens i dont have it for now.... i use protectors to dont have it loololololol

Kigs of leon-youth and young manhood/because of the times (with numerous beers :D)

I fell in love with Kings of Leon in all places, New Orleans. Their music was everywhere I went on my visit. I believe the band is originated from somewhere in the mid-west yet their music conveys true blues and soul. Love it! Read recently that they had a documentary on a paid cable channel. Will be looking it up!
