Hi guys ;)

As we all know there are over 1000 online casinos to choose from. It's not an easy task. Or is it?

What do take into account picking the right one to play in?

Just the great games and rewards? Or do you go deeper and check the license, reputation, reviews, etc?
And even if these are all OK, what makes you decide this specific one?

Waiting for your thoughts,
Karl

Think everyone knows my weak spot which is max RTP all the way!

Once i have checked the background, which normally comes from someone or somewhere i trust like Casinomeister and some community members, I try not to deposit anywhere offering lower as i dont wish to support them or their cause.

It's also a much better experience playing whatever game i want and not having to check or avoid certain providers.

My next biggest turn off is bad service - Its a 'tell tale' sign of how a business is operated and their intentions. I rely on information from this community which has held me in good stead when it comes to choosing or trying somewhere new.

I admit bonuses, free spins and tournaments all carry some weight but not enough to trump those two following background checks.

After that, deposit and withdrawal methods are pretty much the same where i have seen. Most of the decent ones i play at have enough options.

Max RTP, some kind of rewards programme or level system, an occasional bonus or free spins offer.
Think Calzone and NetBet are the only two that meet these terms for me in the UK.

Now with the coronavirus, are you still going physically to casinos? How can I decide on which

to play in a certain location (for example, Pennsylvania)? I'm looking for not only good RTPs, but also good customer service and transparency.

1. Casino's background is in good level and no too much complaints from "casino cluster"
2. Promotions. I like casinos which offer weekly something for the players. Like free spins on deposit or deposit bonuses. No deposit bonuses are, of couse, always a plus
3. Transaction. I don't mind if withdrawals are not instant. But 24 hour time frame is my condition to play in single casino.
4. Some sort of reward program. Points or meter what ever. When you have wagered enough you will get some goodie. Always nice to give something extra from casino while playing with your own money.

I guess i forgot something but those four steps are most important for me. Sure max. RTP's are big plus but sadly we are on the way where almost every casino sooner or later move to lower returns. That's my guess

As others said, im also a big fan of high rtp.
Good service, quick withdrawals, good options for deposits (prefer skrill or trustly)
Good selection of providers.

Im a sucker for bonuses, but not much of that coming my way now due to regulation, wich makes rtp, deposits/withdrawal speed all that more important.

A nice "trick" to test a casino imo is to send in all your documents the moment you sign up.
If the documents you have used successfully for many other sites for some reason get declined, or just take an unreasonable amount of time to get approved, run for the hills.

Self Enlightened interest....if a casino gives something back or a decent promo I will pick that over and above must other things, usually. As long as the servers aren't laggy as hell...i'll even tolerate a site that's maybe not the slickest if you get more out of your deposits. Having said that, sites like MTS (well what's left of them) were simply unplayable and i'd only take a punt on them if it was a really good offer on show

Payouts - within 24 hours, i don't need it in minutes but i want it quicker than 3 days.

Once all offers probably go it'll probably boil down to the slickest sites or the casino i feel is luckiest to me.

Obviously no clip joints or even some UKGC casinos that behave like such.

Don't really play Red Tigers/PNG etc so i can take or leave 96% RTP's as i normally only stick about 50 spins through them if i do play them, which is rare.

The possibility to verify everything before deposit, so whenever i win, i dont have to worry about stupid kyc requests

Not that simple.

I joined Casilando a couple of weeks ago and got verified before depositing,

Tried to withdraw a couple of days later and got hit with SOW.

Took 9 days to get paid.

Hi Gaz do you mind me asking what was the threshold for you to receive the SOW request, ive had a couple over last week or so. cheers

Theres not one thing for me
They must have at least Novomatic and PnG, preferably at the higher RTP.
Fast payouts, paying next day is pushing it, but Novibet, PaddyPower 6 hours or so as examples are fine. I never NEED the money in minutes, but don't want to be waiting days either.
Knowing I can trust them.
The site must work. It is pretty much the first thing a casino should make sure is right, yet some don't. I re-opened my account at Rizk after they left GIG, and half the games I try don't work, and haven't for weeks.

Things that can influence my decision

A decent rep. L&L get many more deposits than they would if it wasn't for Jan. I also play at Unibet sometimes, hoping @Mark_32Red would be able to sort any problems out :) Although he would get extra kudos points if he could find out for me why my football bets seem to be limited to about 13p, despite never winning one (that I can remember).
Decent promotions
Games that aren't available elsewhere, ie LV Bet get some deposits because they have some BF games (Book of Ming for example) that I don't see elsewhere.

I think all casino's have different thresholds.

I had only ever done a basic SOW at VS in the past.

Then got hit with 3 SOW in 2 weeks, as I had increased my deposits (maybe double) as fancied a bit of higher stakes and had the cash.

One Casino was All British and without Jan's help, not sure I would of got through it.

Two new casinos I tried Slotsimillion and Casilando, KYC sorted in advance before deposit.

Won on both and was hit with SOW when I tried to withdraw.

Deposits were all less than 1 k.

Was fuming as I was getting nowhere and they wanted more and more stuff, was going to just say bollox, but the winnings were not small.

So basically I had to bite the bullet and give them pdfs of bank statements, proof of what some of the payments were, even copies of adverts of items I had sold for a few K :eek2: ect ect.

Was a real pita and extremely intrusive.

Took about 9 days to get paid and has really tarnished online gaming for me now.

Sadly, I think this is going to affect more and more people. It's the fact they do it on a withdrawal that's pisses me off.

They should pay you, then ask, you have a choice then to comply or tell them to FO.

And they would certainly have been told to FO by me.

edit to add-- Just remembered, late last year at Casumo, I got hit with kyc/sow and they said it was 2k of withdrawals that triggered it. Anyway after sending just about everything I had, nothing was good enough for them. So did tell them to FO give my money to charity and close my account. 6 weeks later got an email, saying my payment had been sent and account closed

I look for casino who pay instantly with bitcoin in the USA. Any good casino should allow you instant withdrawals if you deposit with bitcoin and dont take a bonus.

- Promotions (especially if it is something more than just regular bonuses/free spins/leaderboards).
- Loyalty/cashback program.
- If the website is player-friendly on both desktop and mobile.
- Can you find interesting games there. Some brands have their own games and that makes them stand out.

Before ANYTHING, The casino has to be established and a positive record when it comes to payments and support ect, Casino having a rep on here is a massive positive when I decide to join a new casino,

The first term I check when approaching a new casino is if they accept players from my (poor) Country - Italy.
If yes, then I check what are the providers I can play.
99,99% of cases here I stop since cannot find nothing good.

In the remaining 0,01% of cases, next step is reputation (and YES the first site where I check this is here on CM).
Next step is what about depositing and withdrawing methods.
Then timing with withdrawals (it must be under 24/36 hours).

Only at this point I have a look to RTPs. But tbh I am used to so low RTPS that even 94% or 92% are still something paradisiac.

Hey guys ;)

Thank you for your thoughts and comments.
I was just wondering what's your opinion on the welcome offer?

If you're into welcome offers, what are the best ones that would tempt you to sign up and start playing in that casino? Or perhaps if everything else in that online casino seems good for you, maybe such is not needed?

Thanks,
Karl
