Other than feedback from the Casinomeister community here on the forum :-) - What makes you trust a newly launched online casino and decide to join and sign up?

Is it because it is a sister operation to an existing reputable online casino, or is it because you know the people behind the casino?

Personally for me it would be a mixture, based on player and review portal feedback and whether I knew the management behind the casino

For me the proof of good intent and honour comes with hassle-free and quick cash-outs. If they fulfil that half of the contract then they are usually okay.

A starting point has always got to be the group behind the casino. This should tell you everything you need to know.

What types of licenses they posses, from which jurisdictions is also important. This can give you some of the biggest clues you need.

As others have said, the reputation of existing sister sites and the licence the group holds are best place to start. Sometimes a standalone casino without an expensive licence will surprise you but more often than not the more unknowns there are about the casino/group, the higher the risk of never seeing your deposit again.

Combing through their terms to get a vibe for them is also very useful, sometimes its a generic copy and paste of what most sites have, sometimes its full of awful terms and some sometimes there are almost no terms at all, like ellipse entertainment sites or playnumbersgame for example.

You need to be vigilant if you plan to play with bonuses as the terms can be hidden deep within one or two different sub-pages of terms (offer specific > bonus terms > general terms). They can be written in a vague or ambiguous way that is difficult to interpret and can sometimes be so bad it's hard to believe they are real terms. Sites like 1XBet tend to have 1x bonus winnings limits. Recently brucebet/mrbet/spincity added a 200% winnings cap on bonuses to their terms without notifying with players with a popup. They initially added the term without updating the date of the last terms update and appear to be retroactively applying it to peoples wins (seems like they added it 24-26th of march but have been applying it to earlier wins.

Essentially if you have very little to go off, the terms can be very indicative of the kind of site it is. With that said, some sites with excellent terms and no footprints at all are still to be avoided as without a combination of factors indicating positive experiences, its not worth the risk.

Here are a few tips to help you decide whether to trust a new online casino from us:
a) Make sure the casino is licensed and regulated by a recognized authority.
b) Try contacting customer service to see how fast and professionally they respond.
c) Look into how the entire project group handles complaints and disputes on public forums. This can tell you a lot about their overall approach to player issues.
d) A well-designed and transparent site usually reflects a more reliable operation.
e) It’s important to review the Terms and Conditions, Responsible Gaming policy, Privacy Policy, and Bonus Terms before you start playing.

No pedantic questioning for sub £1000 or so withdrawals masquerading as KYC. Some are most definately better than others for that.

Definitely check out their withdrawal process. If they offer match pay, that's what you want. There shouldn't be a processing fee nor should it take over a month to receive. Don't mess with ducky luck casino. Bunch of BS.
