I have been a long time customer at an accredited casino here.
Recently, they have taken to sending me SMS (text messages) in the middle of the night. Not once or twice a week, but near daily.

I have contacted customer support on four occasions now, and even emailed the rep here, awaiting a reply. They simply do not seem to want to stop, or even care really. I was belittled for not being enthused about the free spins they are trying to give me. I have a sick mother, and each time I am awoken by my cell in the middle of the night, it's near heart attack each time.

Please share, what recourse do I have here to force them to stop, or am I simply forced to put up with nightly texts from this bunch endlessly?

Thanks in advance for any input or advice.

i had big prob with 2 casinos accredited couple of months ago, plus constants phone calls from 3rd hate them
reps took care of 2 of them after no action from support,
but a tad harsh email from me fixed the last one :)

I'll resist telling you to turn your phone off or on to silent :p

Have a look under the "My Account" section when logged into this particular casino whoever it maybe.

A lot of them have "Receive email" or "Receive SMS" type on/off settings.

Worth a try if nothing else.....

OP has a sick mother so cant turn the phone off or to silent in case she needs them

It's probably same casinos that have been literally harassing me daily with their incessant calls....3 or 4 times a day...until I told them to stop...that it was a bit aggressive to be called that many times a day and night....it has stopped but I got a call this morning...haven't checked to see if it was them...this was the digimedia group of casinos.....ruby fortune, spin palace....etc...

If it's an automated text try replying to the number with STOP, this works in the UK due to regulations set up. I'm not sure about Canada but its worth a try?
Also some phones these days have a blacklist feature and you can block any number from calling or texting if you have the option on your phone.

Hire a private detective to get the names and telephone-numbers of all the staff members there, that have anything to do with those calls, and have a few young programmers code up a little bot with a non stop dialing script, that will autoplay a certain message of your own choosing (i bet you'd have plenty of words you would like them to hear:p) each time the phone is picked up, but also make it to disconnect after the message is delivered..

Or show them you have the funds and will to do it, and tell them you will if they don't stop :D

Jokes aside..it's terrible form to keep calling you, if you explicitly stated you didn't want them to, and by no means behavior fitting an accredited Casino..
Name and shame, or elevate this to Brian directly (assuming you already have contacted the rep)

That's not a great advice since there are casinos who don't pay if they find out it's not the correct number.

If you don't deposit again, it won't matter. But if they are using such low-level tactics, they'd probably spam both the numbers.

PABs are not just for when a casino owes you money. If the rep does not get it resolved for you, I'd PAB to have it rectified.

I'm not sure texting STOP is any more effective than hitting the "unsubscribe" button on spam to be honest with you.

I am pretty sure it is just Canuck Fans

Had the same trouble with this mob 2 years ago.
CS kept trying to tell me they couldn't stop it!
I ended up swearing at them and telling them to close account cos i was pissed off and was never going to play with them again.

That worked!

Well, the texts stopped for 2 weeks, yet Fortune Lounge (Red Flush Casino specifically) started texting in the middle of the night yet again. 2:15 am Monday, and 2:14am now on Tuesday. 10 free spins and a 100% match, always the same offer.

This was after contacting the rep here and being assured this would not repeat itself. I am not happy, and feel that there is nothing that can be done. The casino simply doesn't care, and I feel like I have zero action I can take.

i have resorted to making individual numbers muted on my phone, so i can ignore them if they continue to arrive.

Sadly, it's never the same number they text from, wishing it were that simple. To be fair, I have contacted the rep again here. Not holding my breath, as they insist I am already on the do not message list, but let's see if they can do anything here before I lose my marbles completely, lol.

We take great care to try to ensure that we dont send SMS at nighttime but if ti is us then please PM me with your details - unfortunately there can sometimes be delays caused by the network providers. Frankly sending an sms with an offer in the middle of the night is highly ineffective so it is a very strange tactic to use by a marketing department....

If it isnt us, PM the rep here...

If your phone is Android you can use Priority Mode:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

There are also an app called Truecaller which crowdsources nuisance numbers and can automatically block them.

Please - name and shame. I just loath this with a capital L. My phone is what I use to communicate with others, and others with me. When I get a phone call from the UK or South Africa about some crap bonus, it just pisses me off. I make every effort to uncheck any selection that allows these people to use my phone as an advertising tool.

The Fortune Lounge Group, (Namely Red Flush Casino) has a nice rep on here who is trying her best to get this resolved, but the bigger company doesn't care.

I just feel that since I contacted CS on multiple occasions, and even got the rep on here involved, that they have no excuse at this point. The rep seems to feel that Red Flush has taken every effort to ensure I don't get any more SMS, especially in the middle of the night.....yet they are baffled as to why I still getting them, and can offer no explanation of any kind. I have wasted hours sending screenshots and following up, but to what end? Nothing is being done. I have decided I wont deposit there anymore. I asked them for the contact info for their legal team, a request which was refused, so they have zero intention of fixing this in my eyes, and cannot be held accountable for their actions

That's such bullshit on their part. The FL group along with most of Digimedia companies are tanking in reference to customer support. I had near the same problem with the Vegas Partner group not too long ago. I was getting calls on my mobile from SA at 7 in the morning - and have to PAY for outside long distance calls.

I think after the relaunch I will have to take another look at these properties and their rankings at Casinomeister.
