Dear friends,

The APCW has made a short video (under 2 minutes) that sums up what's going on with this law, and how it will affect US Players. This video is designed for the players, and is an attempt to motivate them to action.

If you think it's too late, don't be so sure. Remember when they passed the bill to have US Ports run by an Arab country? The public went crazy, and they reversed the bill. Let's do the same!

If all books, poker rooms and Casinos started spamming this number plus the major network numbers available in that page to, it could be a good pressure measure.

Think about it, I am sure most managers and owners wouldnt mind taking 5 minutes after the rush and have all their employess spamming the morons trying to cut us off.

ITs all about the Benjamins and those morons ignoring civil rights

Thanks guys! I am glad to see everyone still willing to fight.

This is something that was put together in an afternoon. The casinos have the ability to effectively put together a commercial and get it on TV immediately. I still see .net commercials running, just replace them with a spot that lets the American people know they are loosing their rights. It is past time for the casinos to publically make a stand.

Auditor is right - it's time for the casinos to do something more proactive than behaving like a bunch of scared ninnies.

I can understand the need for public companies to tread circumspectly, but there are a host of highly successful online casino private companies out there that spend millions on US advertising - it's time they put their heads together and did something more constructive than hoisting the white flag without contesting this appalling situation.

APCW has been instrumental for some time in auditing affiliate programs and exposing problems. Very effective and trustworthy. They do audits and statistics, complimentary to GPWA and CAP and supported by both.
 
Another thing that has been bothering me is that I can't understand the casino owner/operators who are on the stock exchange not using some of the millions/billions they had at their disposal to fight this ( and you know our politicians LOVE MONEY and most can be bought it seems) for the knowledge was there that this "might" happen and now...they have lost the monies that could have kept them in the luxury style they became accustomed to.

I just don't get it! They KNEW this was a possibility and they did NOTHING!

No JET, it's time that these operators/owners put their pocket books together rather than their heads. So far it's been a walk in the park for these FED clowns to have this legislation passed vitually unopposed.

These operators need to take a serious look at everyone of these so called Corporate Attorneys who have just sat back on their fat duffs and whistled in the wind whilst all of this B S came down around their client's heads and shoulders.

If there was a LITIGATOR in the bunch of them they'd of had this legislation stymied long ago and once and for all.

I posted a question to Representative Meek - in Talk to Power on Yahoo.

And Working on hitting MSN Live with questions.

Have emailed - Alaskan Senator, Representatives, White House and called those who would answer the phones.

I have passed on the info - I voted and commented on YOUTUBE video trying to bump it up.

I have voted on the MSN link.

I knew I forgot something. Does anyone know if there's any way to get that video on tv somewhere? I mean in a newscast, or on CNN, or a local tv station? How much would it cost to buy a spot (like a commercial), maybe even on late night when all those stupid infomercials are running? It's only a minute and a half right? Maybe peope would be willing to donate to buy some time? Probably off in left field and not practical, but just one of the many things I was thinking about.

Or how about some of the casinos with millions of dollars in revenue donating some money to buy some airtime?

Here's a link for ABC Good Morning America, they welcome videos to be sent to them. I think they probably mean video shot of breaking news, etc. But hey, it couldn't do any harm to send it to them. I think it's well done, and you just never know.

I'm told that Party Gaming is pumping big money into a US media campaign with Mike Sexton as one of the speakers. It will include television and should break next week.

A poster over at WOL has provided the following link for what looks like a political blog at:

It's a long read but a very interesting snapshot of how Democrats are viewing the impact of the new US legislation and the manner in which Frist and Kyl engineered its approval.

And it suggests to me that at least some Democrats are seeing an advantage for their party in the large numbers of American players displeased with their political representatives over this bill.

All the more reason for US players to let their feelings be known imo.
