WAGERWORKS SLOTS ARE SKYVEGAS BOUND

Popular "Cleopatra" slot the first of many top games to appear on SkyVegas interactive TV channel

Online games developer Wagerworks justifiably boasts this week that "The skys the limit as WagerWorks goes iDTV with SkyBet."

The British television giant BSkyB subsidiary Skybet and WW have extended an earlier agreement to integrate the software company's popular games into the interactive TV channel SkyVegas.

WagerWorks is releasing some of its most successful slot games on the SkyVegas channel. The first game, the 20-payline slot Cleopatra, has already gone live and will be followed by the 9-payline Monopoly with Pass Go Bonus.

The extended agreement is an expression of SkyBets wish to capitalise on the synergy that exists with WagerWorks, the opportunity to cross-sell and the need to broaden Skys offering with toptier, performing slot games which will attract new players to the channel and reinvigorate its existing players.

From a Wagerworks perspective it is a unique opportunity to explore new markets for its games by targeting a very broad audience that might prefer to play games through interactive TV rather than a computer.

Paul Mathews, President of WagerWorks Inc., comments: WagerWorks is very excited about this collaboration with SkyBet which we believe will raise the bar on game play and production quality for a gaming interactive channel.

This is a positive step to further enhance our iDTV gaming portfolio with a selection of some of the best games in the industry," said John Parsonage, Games Manager for SkyBet.

Another rung on the way to the top. These guys are very shrewd...hope the other s/ware providers are watching over their shoulders!

If they can get some decent slots (which they are entirely capable of doing), they are WELL on their way to destroying the competition.

Don't get me wrong, they have a couple of ok slots... Just nothing great, IMO.
