I saw it wasn't on, so shut the computer down as I knew I wouldn't be up for the 2.15 one. I was still up for the 12.15 one (and was until about 1.30) so if I had known then I would have played it, I'm sure others did the same. Make a post saying it won't be on and will be done the next night instead at the same time, then it should be on the next night at the same time, its not even like it started on time!
 
@Team.Videoslots Hey Guys, In the past 36 hours i think i have missed about 4 freeroll battles as they cant be played in my country.... Can this be looked at? Creature of the black lagoon (coming up), vikings to name a couple..

The one that was cancelled would have been this current weekend , wouldnt it? (the one that we found out was cancelled a week or so ago).

The next one then, is end of next month , will be the end of December, so only one has been cancelled? (at least thats how i read it)

I was gonna actually ask if that was a possibility. Like (i suspect) many others, id deposited and wagered the week or so before assuming the battle weekend would go ahead as normal (and would have been eligible), but then it got cancelled. Otherwise i may have delayed depositing again to wager towards the next battle weekend (or weekday evening sngs).

I also suspect not, but it would be nice.
 
My normal gameplay and deposits takes me over the amount needed as i play there down to the WD times. One thing i did refrain from after hearing they was cancelled was playing to chase the freeroll (£500 every 2 weeks) as part of that i would cover from the SnG so i have not Bothered this time
 
So basicly I worked my ass off the past week or more wagering £500 plus and they were cancelled? What's to say they won't be cancelled in December? I don't fancy taking the risk again unless its guaranteed to run. And how about some free spins for all us people who wagered the minimum £500 as compensation, say IE 1 spin for every £10 wagered. Seem a good idea to me. That would keep me depositing.

The sng freerolls are only £200 wagering (over a 4 week period , not 2), and were cancelled nearly a couple of weeks ago now for this weekend. Regular freerolls that youv wagered £500 for, are still running as normal.

Early this morning you were asking what these weekend SNG'S were. Now suddenly you have been wagering £500 all week to qualify:confused:

Anyway the wagering required for them is 200 not 500. And why should they be offering compensation just because they are not having them this month.

Team Videoslots say they will be run at the end of December. I am all for the odd freebie,but the above post just smacks of opportunism of the worst kind.
Videoslots don't deserve such treatment

But people shouldn't be working their arses off just to get a go at the free weekend that's not responsible gaming, if you don't make the wagering that month then you don't make it, people shouldn't be gambling for the sake of it just to get some free spins at the end of the month. If you deposit low and wager low you can easily make the £500. I don't deposit more than £20 a week and easily make the wagering by using free spins from normal battles and low wagering on games.

But folk have free will. No one likes to be nannied. I view the freebies from Videoslots as a reward for loyalty as apposed to them being my right to have. Most casinos give next to nothing back once you have blown your money.

A reward for loyalty but that shouldn't mean you bet what you wouldn't normal bet, it's not nannying if someone chooses to bet enough to get into the battles that's there choice nothing to do with me or you but everyone should think is it worth it if they don't normally gamble that amount. In Sept and Oct I won £144ish pounds from the freerolls which is worth me getting to the threshold because I don't deposit large amounts but if I was depositing £200+ a month just to play the weekend then I would think again about whether it was worth it.

I get what your saying,but I am sure that all that the videoslots model does is grab a bit more of the share that depositors would deposit over a number of casinos. Slot players in general do not limit their deposits to just one casino. I see it as a brilliant player retention tool

Of course it is because if you are doing 2 day marathon freeroll you are not playing elsewhere as there is no time but also during that 2 days I am not playing real money at VS so it's catch22.

Also I am not the sort of person casinos really want low depositor playing as many free battles as possible, we all know casino owners want the highrollers and us poorly paid punters just are an annoyance to their profits.

I'm not sure that's true - after all, VS and its rewards pretty much ONLY cater to lowrollers and keeping them there and happy -the rewards can be pretty..sniffy...for those not betting 20c bets

and sure, highrollers get peeps year end bonuses, but it's lowrollers keep the lights on and salaries paid

They obviously do see a lot of merit in retaining as many low rollers as possible otherwise they would't invest the time and effort in providing so much for us. One of the biggest headaches I'm sure for online casinos is player retention and player loyalty. Videoslots nailed that problem with their free rolls and stole a march on their competition.
As a player who spends about 90% of my slotting budget at VS I never have to worry about reaching the wagering in order to enter the free rolls.I made the decision a few years ago to stop spreading my deposits over multiple casinos and in my view it was the best decision I have made regarding gambling. Trada being my second fave casino

One of the problems with VS for me is I cannot alter my deposits how I want to, it takes 7 days to change a deposit other sites like Vera & John it's 24 hours, so if I decide now that I have enough money to play at Videoslots on payday I can't play because I have to wait a week before I could deposit, not sure why VS has a week for change it makes me go to other casinos.

Totally agree with the bit about low rolling.

I can see changes to the battle weekends soon. People will complain that VS are lowering their rewards. But by becoming more successful they now have a lot more people playing the battles. As has been discussed on here if players were to play a lot of battles it is hard not to win enough over the wekend to make a withdrawal. Something has to give.

Maybe Team VS will read your comment and change the options? The only restrictions I have made is to restrict my bet amount limit to stop me drunkenly buying £10 bonuses in the likes of Extra Chilli and that bloody Rabbit while I'm enjoying a Vodka too much. Which incidentally may be tonight :(
 
I too have noticed cutting back on casinos from a couple of dozen to only a few, improves loyalty bonuses as your now spending more on them instead of much smaller amounts on loads. Plus the ones I ditched after a while that i hadn't closed started falling over themselves offering me bonuses and free spins not that i really took them as they were rubbish offers lol

You know you are on the videoslots thread? VS do hardly anything for high rollers and VIP's compared to other casinos, its clear from the reward system the whole casino is geared towards low rollers, which is fine as they are pretty much catering for a market that not many other casinos attempt to conquer.

About the battle weekend, it doesn't have to be a case someone has a problem, the battles, freerolls etc are retention tools, don't think VS's are doing them because they love the players, they do them to get you to deposit there and not somewhere else. I am sure there are people who have had 50% / 100% deposit bonuses from other casinos but deposited at VS instead because they wanted to qualify for the freerolls today, doesn't mean there is a responsible gaming issue, just they spent at Videoslots instead of maybe Rizk. Thats why I asked the question, if people qualified for a bonus (which is what the weekend is essentially) then they should be allowed to use it when it is available without having to spend more money.

Could be much worse. They at least give you a chance to win bet back. You could be drunk and start buying bonuses on the blueprint slots:eek:

Sometimes I have enough to bet sometimes I don't but if for example I got a big win on another casino for example £500 win at Gday then when the money is in my account I go to VS and think I might have a deposit here....errr oh I have a limit on my account which cannot be changed for 7 days I will go to Vera & John, so it isn't in VS interests to have 7 days changes.

There is no inbetween you either choose a deposit per day or a deposit per week and you are stuck with choosing £10 a day or £10 a week or £10 month there needs to be better options on the deposit choices at all casinos they are too vague, what if I want to play on a Friday and a Sunday and no other day, they don't have enough options.

My guess is that they have some brilliant number crunchers who advise them on what % of battle winnings are ploughed back and how quickly amongst a lot of other data.
For me there are numerous benefits for sticking with videoslots even if their rewards do become a little diluted. I seldom have issues with the site re lag or disconnections. The speed is great too. Then there is customer service and a total trust in the casinos integrity. On top of that they have a great team of reps who together maintain the brilliant service that used to be provided by Dan

The only bonuses that I take up these days are usually the ones related to Casinomeister promos. The terms these days render most offers not worth taking in my opinion.
I started off my online slotting life being a bonus chaser at every casino I could find.But I learnt that the reason why so many providers have sometimes dozens of sister casinos is that they know that a very large % of online players go from casino to casino and rarely come back again. So,besides the odd quality casino who offer reasonable First Deposit Bonus terms,Casinos know that there is good money to be made from their bonuses

I used to look for bonuses etc. as well when i started. But in those days wagering was negligible and bonuses were good.

These days not interested in bonuses as just play what little cash i've got. Only place i take bonuses are WH but that,s only because they are there . If i am wagering 50 anyway might as well take a bonus of 25 after ive wagered it. Just go to chilli and get the value of a buy down lol.

It would probably suit a lot of folk like me who's usually pretty careful with their money except once a week they get bladdered then wake up to find they have blown 100's on bonus buy ins. A 24 hour restriction would help those folk a lot

Yeh but that's why they've decided they need to make cuts I expect because too many lowrollers not actually losing enough money longterm - and the higher players aren't particularly enticed by sng battle freerolls anyway . They want a system where the majority of players (lowrollers) actually lose money . Much as I don't like to say it but if you were committed to the battle weekends you could easily make £100+ (of fs value) from the battles , which is a massive amount when you only need £200 wagering to get access to them
