It depends on the battle, some will have a fixed prize pool, where others will depend on the amount of registered players but with a guaranteed starting prize pool.
If the battle name and battle lobby include information about "guaranteed" or "guaranteed prize pool" then it's one of the battles which will have a prize pool changing dependent on the amount of participant.

They have a budget for stuff like this (a lot less than it used to be), and they make it back in other ways, like the crappy RTP on a lot of slots!

the 15k on Tuesday is the only 'Added' battle the rest are 'guaranteed' which is different, all of the paid battles I think have no house edge though? which is odd that the casino rakes nothing back from them.
