That would be a nightmare, I don't know if you played before when there aren't queues, you had to be able to select a lobby with free slots and race everyone to get a slot in that battle.

Hiding the slots would mean that you had to be looking up for when a new lobby shows up so you can attempt to register since a full lobby should count as a battle you can't register for.

Well as it has been happening for years now hardly a surprise.

Think people have now got to realise the battles are not reliable. If they want to try qualify for them then they should now do so knowing likelihood of them always running smooth is slim.

Personally gave up on the battles. Was bad enough trying to get 500xp if xp had ran out. But 2500 XP needed means unless lucky several hundred pound deposited to try and make it. To then be met with unreliable battles on poor game selection.

Guess only way i would bother going through the hassle of playing battles now would be if a deposit was lucky and got the XP needed as certainly would not try to get xp for battles.

Either that or i move to Sweden and dont need XP to play them. But personally do not even miss battles anymore as the hassle of them never working put me right off.

Oh absolutely. I agree. I haven't played one of these battles in awhile. I expected the usual shenanigans from VS and I haven't been disappointed thus far.

Site crashing, slow battles, long queues, etc are an accident if they happen every once in awhile. But . . . Every. Single. Battle? Nope. That's intentional.

(And don't get me started on the non-spinners slowing down each and every slot battle. Really amps up the fun! ?)

Yeah i know it is a shame for the ones that look forward to them.

But think it is clear after couple of years there are major problems that do not seem to be able to get fixed.

No technical wizard but after length of time you would think they would work. Or if not you would think they would pull them for a few months and get it to a state where they work rather than upsetting customers, both the battle players and the Real money players logged in at same time every week.

Biggest surprise to me is the IT staff. I know if it was in my job and IT staff could never fix computer problems and they happened every week we would be looking for new IT staff unless the system was unfixable then they would be getting a new computer system. And lets face it after the length of time, It can only come down to they will never be fixable now or the IT staff are not great at job.
 
It seems to me that videoslots migrated to the servers as part of savings, but worse. It is not possible to spoil something that has worked so far. There were problems, but not as systematic as now. Virtually all SNGs are unplayable.

Hopefully the Battles are running now better but unfortunately it might mean longer queues.

I wish we had a magic fix for the Battle issues but, unfortunately, we don't have it yet. Still ,we are constantly working on it to improve the Battles performance.

Maybe its just me but waiting 13minutes for a 10 minute battle to end then another 10 minutes in a queue is not really better. As for the magic fix nobody expected one but its been well over a year which is more than long enough to sort this out

You don't have enough battles on rotation for player count, thus these insane queues.

They should try using 60-man or even 100-man battles like some people have suggested.
Since 30-man battles work now while 10-man battles struggle with long queues it sure seems like it is the number of battles that is the problem, not the number of players.
If its the number of battles that is the problem then fewer battles that hold a large amount of players would fix it.

But since they are not trying that maybe its not that easy.

Just my own conclusion: VS seems to think that these promotions are free promotions and because "free" the responsibility for compensation does not even exist.

I personally strongly disagree. These promotions are more like some cashback-stuff which you can participate in once you have met the casino's wagering requirements. So in theory it's free, but you only get free when you've paid first
 
Pretty simple - you advertise x hours of battles, based on requirements, you should offer it. I really don't get why folk thank them, for example, for extending - it's simply meeting what they, from a marketing point of view, have essentially promised.

Being said, if folk actually put they money were their mouth is, and stopped ploughing money into them after each screw up, maybe they'd have an incentive to actually run them properly. But they don't and they won't.

if I understood correctly from @Mr Wild explanation problem is not tens. Problem is total amount of regs.
If there is 10 and 30 player it's 2 regs / player. If there is 30 and 30 it's 2 regs / player
Of course tens are started more often (see the last line of the quote)

I managed to register/play the first hand of midas battle, but i cant register for the next one, or the flames of heasphestwhatever battle ? (the latter showing in my registered battles, but it still keeps letting me register again and again so im guessing theres a wider problem?)

Same here, I tried to reg in incognito as well, and didn't work, therefore isn't anything with the cash.
I inspected the request and there wasn't any error, and there isn't.
However, the request returns the following:

  1. balance: "0.00"
  2. entry_balance: null
  3. msg: "You have successfully registered for the Battle."
  4. status: "ok"

I'm not sure if the balance should be 0 and the entry_balance null, it's something you can ask your development team, @Team.Videoslots
 
im only registering for the current 30 minutes battle and its not working. and neither is the regular freeroll.

you click register, it comes up saying you registered, then the button never changes to 'start battle' , you click register again, you register again.. its broke.

Are you playing from the UK?
It can be a bug for the UK players only maybe, as I'm in the UK and Bill also looks like he is in the UK, besides that, over 1000 people have registered.
Also, it appears to be a server fault as there are slots being filled but people don't show up in the battle
