Official Videoslots presents Battle of Slots!

Having a little break from depositing but this also means you can't play the free tournaments at Videoslots no longer.

The sit&go freeroll requires you have deposited within the past 3 days (plus a wagering requirement)
The freezeout freeroll requires you have deposited within the past 7 days (plus a wagering requirement)

Now I understand why Videoslots has done this (you look after your paying customer after all) but on the other hand it now gives me (and perhaps others) a reason any longer to visit the casino anymore with a chance that I may deposit after having played some free tournaments.

Be glad they run freerolls at all instead. I can't think of another site that would do this for their loyal players. I have barely played a spin at another site in the last months. Videoslots are doing everything right at the moment.

I really like the Battle of Slots sngs and tournaments and will keep playing them.

Don't misunderstand me. Of course I am glad that they have their free rolls. I have participated in many of them (even won some) and appreciate them. However, when you want to take a break from depositing there is nothing for you to go back to their site despite being a loyal customer (well I would say when you have deposited over £8000 since June you're more than a loyal customer!!!).

Yeah, it would be nice if there was even just one daily freeroll without any requirements - it can even have absolutely crappy prizes, just would be nice to get a few spins from time to time and maybe win something.

Then again, it is all still very much in the early stages and the battles still keep changing. The freeroll sit'n'go battles now only give one 1,10 ticket instead of three - it certainly was much better for the players a few weeks ago so that might be slightly annoying. I'm curious about how this will look in a few months.

I think what annoyed me most was the message telling me that I was not legible because I haven't deposited over the past 3/7 days. It sort of makes you think "And.... what about the thousands I deposited prior to that??" and stick two fingers up to them for being so short sighted.

Same problem for me. I paid (and lost) on an 11 euro ticket, when I had a free one, and I had clicked claim. Sucessfully claimed a 2.75 one, but can't redeem the other one I won.

The ones I claimed successfully (including a 5.50 one) showed zero for the buy-in amount.

I also get taken to a Oops statement for every tourney that starts, although I am able to click on the tourney and pick resume. Some times it works, other times I have had to close and try again. Since many are fairly short, you can be a while if you have some luck, especially on the Pyramid one.

Go to my bonuses then "Accountslip" and claim it (click on it)from there ,hope this will help!

I see no battles for 1,10€ today. Am I stuck with useless tickets? Would be nice if something could be done with them :)

Sorry for double posting but I can't seem to be able to edit my previous one.

I just won a "Winner takes all" sit'n'go. Five players, buy in of 1,10€ from which I always thought 1€ would go to the prize pool, yet I won 3,59€ - i'm not sure how this works exactly?

Its progressive win. All wins generated during the battle is added to the pot. So the pot can be either big or small or average. However imagine this with Jackpots! Can be really cool to play 10 friends and share the prize pool eqaul if someone hits it :)

Hi GoldenGhoul,

You can now find a Sit & Go Battle with €1.1 buy in where the winner takes it all. This Battle will be available for a minimum period of 7 days.

Best Regards

Daniel

Thanks. For some reason I assumed it's the prize pool from all buy-ins. The way it is set is at least somewhat exciting I guess - supposedly that awful Pyramid game could give a hit of thousands times stake so that could prove profitable :)

It would be nice if this changed from time to time. Netent has quite a few games so there is room for variety there I think. Starburst, Gonzo, JatB, Pyramid - this is getting old :) I saw some conversations in the chat windows of various battles and I certainly didn't see much love for Starburst or JatB there - they might be popular games in general, but I think most players who take part in battles are more of an "anti-Starburst" crowd so to speak :D

Please add the option to combine entries.
I have tickets to the total value of almost €40 and nothing to spend them on

I think they are restructuring as lots of tournaments are being cancelled including the large guarantee payouts. Take up has been poor on the €22 ones at well under value. I think there are not enough high rollers at videoslots which has attracted low rollers more. Too many free sit and go's cannot be sustained without casino losses.

They will find the sweet spot that works for player and casino :)

Yeah, I think you're right here. To be honest, 22€ to enter a 500€ guaranteed battle is a bit steep in my opinion. Now, if hundreds of players took part in battles I'm sure better ones would start popping up, though given that battles seem to have a max. number of players set to 90 I'm not sure if the casino would want to do battles where hundreds of players play in a single one. Still, if 90 players played the 22€ battle, that would increase the pot up to 1800€, so i think the whole "guaranteed" thing would have to be changed to a much higher amount, else might just call it a normal battle where players contribute to the pot. We'll have to see how this whole thing develops.

From the casinos point of view I think that having a reasonable guaranteed pot size is more to draw players in... In the hope that it exceeds the guaranteed sum anyway.

If you see two identical tournaments with same entry fees, rules etc you are more likely to join the guaranteed one. If not many players have joined yet then it can initially give player advantage. The casino then hopes that as numbers increase during registration it causes a domino effect.

I think the best course is allowing rebuys but keeping the amount sensible. When I see a tournament with one to five rebuys I go into that tournament thinking "at the most it will cost x amount" when I see 999 rebuys red lights warn "stay away"

The best strategy would in my humble opinion be to reinstate sit and go ticket wins as they were today.... Just the 5.5 and 11 ones. Make them a one in 10 chance as today but make most tournaments rebuys so that player is likely to have to add funds to hold realistic chance of a win.

Yeah, I had enough of the "999 rebuys" thing in Microgaming tournaments, thank you very much :D What you propose seems like a good idea, though I'm not sure about playing those Starburst sit'n'gos on a single line - seems worse to me, then again it's not like it makes a difference in the end - one player will win, nine will lose. For now the battles seem like a good idea that obviously, as always, could be improved upon. I should've spent more time playing them when they started - much more chances to win than now :D

I agree with you but still those tournement and freeroll could be more varied tired of Starburst and Pyramide :p

Yes I entered rather a lot.... Enough to net a small profit but odds were against me today as I netted far less than one in 10 and when I used the tickets that's when luck turned bad. However I ended in profit through brute force in all honesty.

I have to question whether I enjoyed this though. I became sick of Starburst. I think more focus should be made on scheduled tournaments as players grinding free sit and go's prevents same players using real funds. That's where rebuys are key.... As much as we may despise them I think they are wholly necessary from casinos point of view.

Hi all,

I first want to say that we do appreciate all the feedback we get here and we do listen to everything and i am happy to announce that we have now done some changes to our Battle schedule. We have noticed that our "Freezeout Battles" are very popular and we have now added more "Freezout" Battles to our schedule with guaranteed prize pools.

We have also listened to your feedback about our freerolls that currently running with the slots Starburst and Pyramid: Quest for immortality and we have now added a new set of slots that they will be played in.

All these changes will take effect in 24 hours so you will be able to see the changes tomorrow on the 4th of November.

I hope you all will have a great day.

//Daniel
