Yes this is correct, Round 4/5 have been changed to have a maximum of 5 players, however it is not winner takes it all, the prize is still split among the players.

Forgive my mistake, it's because players don't have access to that information ATM. I think they should.

I also believe changes shouldn't occur while the battles are in play, since they are all 5 linked to each other and can only be viewed as one.
Best and only way IMHO would be to announce the changes now and make them from Monday morning, since they change the payouts of an ongoing big paid battle.

@Team.Videoslots last night I noticed that the Clash of spins were now 1/2 hour instead of 15 min, but didn't notice an increase in the number of winners (not certain), and not an increase in prizes, at least not the top ones.

I did not have all the previous ones memorized of course.

Funny that I thought that the already dreadful wheel had been downgraded. The 15 fs used to be on 20c, now on 10c. And the best (5e battle ticket) changed to a round 1 ticket. Ok one of the booster multipliers has been upgraded from 1,75 to 2x. May have seen wrong as only spun it 3 times past 2 days.
