Victor Chandler and World Games Inc.??

"An arrest warrant has been issued for the Vice President of World Games Inc, Quentin George, believed to be in Australia."

Didn't you say that no officers were under investigation? Just independent representatives?

You are too much, do you know how to read, go back and read my posts. From WGI, no warrant is issued for Quentin George, he is not the VP of WGI he was the head of global operations and voluntarily stepped down until the court proceedings are over. As I said only distributors have been charged, and that is the reason Quentin George was not charged because he was not promoting the products, the members (distributors) were.

We can confirm, as you would already be aware, in September 2003 the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission commenced criminal proceedings against seven (7) members of WGI and WGIs former President of Global Operations, Mr Quentin George. The proceedings are essentially that those accused were involved in the management and promotion of an illegal lottery and pyramid scheme. The matter is set down for trial on 27 November 2004. The WGI members the subjects of the proceedings have now been formally charged (Mr Quentin George has not been charged). Whilst the matter seems destined to go to trial, WGI is very pleased with the progress of the matter and the preparation of the trial lawyers. Based on the Lawyers first round of interviews, it seems that the members charged will enjoy the support of over twenty witnesses. These witnesses have been described by the lawyers as substantial members of the community and include police officers and Alberta Gaming Commission employees!

Why were WGI members told all charges in Canada were dropped?

Why does an international company doing Internet information business rely on word-of-mouth to tell their own marketing reps what is going on? Haven't they heard of...email?

What can you tell us about the vulnerability of the Stock Market game to runs?

Again, wrong information. WGI has never told any members that the charges were dropped, in fact they have been quite vocal about what is going on and because there is such a long wait for trial dates here in Canada there has not been much news on the subject until I received the official email from WGI yesterday, which I will again post here incase you are too lazy to go back and read my previous posts. They do not rely on word of mouth, WGI holds leaders forums where they discuss all the current issues regarding the business with the top leaders from each country. The latest forum was held in Singapore. After the leaders forum WGI sent an email newsflash with all information about what was discussed, the focus of the business and where they are headed. Not only does WGI send the newsflash and updates to all their members by email, as well as post it in the members lounge that all members access when they logon to their sites they expect the leaders to inform members in their downlines about what is going on. Please explain in more detail what you mean regarding the SMG (Stock Market Game). Here again is a copy of the official email sent out by WGI regarding the charges in Alberta and the status, as well as the accusations made by Karen Suchar of the RCMP that is circulating the internet. So once again your information is wrong, whenever there is a news item or update the members are immediately informed by email, so yes they have heard of email.

Dear WGI Member

Thank you for your enquiry.

We have received numerous enquiries raising concerns about a letter from Sergeant Karen Suchar of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Canada). We echo your concerns and agree that such correspondence is unacceptable where to date, there has not yet been even a trial in respect of this matter.

Despite the above, WGI is concerned that this latest information has allegedly come from two members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and notes the letter clearly presumes guilt of the members involved. We agree that the phrase innocent until proven guilty appears to have been all but ignored and certainly the implications (and factual inaccuracies) contained in Sergeant Suchars letter, are extremely damaging to World Games Inc operations where her letter contains rash generalisations and blurs the line between fact and fiction.

Further, the fact that a trial in this matter is still pending, means that such publications from representatives of Canadas own law enforcement body will severely prejudice any hearing of the matter in Canada and we expect that this issue will be raised with the Canadian Authorities. WGI and our lawyers in Canada will also be carrying out their own investigations into the legitimacy of the letter, as neither our organisation nor our lawyers in Canada have ever been approached or contacted by Sergeant Suchar or Detective Bob Keys in respect of this matter. As soon as we are able to determine the source of this letter, we will consult with our lawyers as to the further actions available to WGI in ensuring that its reputation is not tarnished by such blatant and prejudicial tactics.

Whilst it has been WGIs policy to date, following legal advice, to refrain from making any comments regarding litigious matters whilst the matters are before the courts, the prejudicial and damaging comments contained in Sergeant Suchars letter warrant some comment. To clarify the specific issues raised in Sergeant Suchars letter, our comments (in bold blue) are as follows:

THE EMAIL SAYS: It is our belief and that of the Attorney General of Alberta that World Games Inc. is operating an ILLEGAL Pyramid Scheme in addition to promoting an ILLEGAL lottery. Following our investigation, criminal charges were laid in September of 2003 against seven Albertans as well as one Australian for contraventions of the Criminal Code.
OUR RESPONSE: We have taken legal advice in Canada and we are very confident that WGI is NOT operating an illegal pyramid scheme, nor promoting an illegal lottery in Canada and we look forward to being provided with the opportunity to defend this matter at trial (if the Canadian authorities proceed with the matter). Again, WGI has taken legal advice and WGI remains firmly of the view that the charges will be absolutely and successfully defended and WGI is in fact funding the defence of the members concerned.

THE EMAIL SAYS: In addition, World Games Inc. and Greg Kennedy have been charged in Australia by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and will stand trial June 7, 2004 for Pyramid Selling offences in accordance with their Trade Practices Act.
OUR RESPONSE: This information is incorrect World Games Inc has not been charged with any offence in Australia whatsoever. The charges have been laid against an entity that provides limited administrative services to the business, known as World Play Services and WGI remains confident that the proceedings are misconceived and their effect has mostly been misreported as they are not against WGI. The fact that the membership of WGI is not open to Australian residents and access to the site is blocked to Australian computers is something that has been overlooked in many reports. It is also very important to note that no-one has been charged at all in Australia the proceedings against World Play Services are not criminal proceedings.

THE EMAIL SAYS: A conviction was also registered in March against a Swedish WGI member for promoting an illegal lottery in association with World Games Inc. It is also our information that Scandinavian Police investigations are continuing.
OUR RESPONSE: On 31 March a Swedish woman was convicted for offences in relation to her promotion of WGI. The decision was not against WGI and WGI took no part in the proceedings. Indeed, WGI determined as early as September 2002 (when the charges were first laid) that it would not provide any support to this member on the basis that it was her conduct, in breach of the WGI Policies & Procedures that led to the charges. The Swedish court effectively confirmed WGIs position, finding that the womans method of promotion and various misrepresentations gave rise to the charges. WGI considers that the true nature of the decision (ie. a decision against a rogue member and not at all a decision against WGI) is appreciated by the majority of members and that the case has not had any significant impact on member confidence.

THE EMAIL SAYS: Should you wish to review the details of our investigation and other criminal convictions and charges around the globe, I urge you to view the attached Word documents. If we can be of any further assistance to you, please feel free to contact us directly. I have also included an internet link to the official website of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police which provides information regarding Pyramid Schemes.
OUR RESPONSE: As you will note from the information above, The Word documents attached to the letter contain statements which are both incorrect and out of date and have not been provided with any authority or information as to who has created these documents. Also, the mere inference (in providing a link to the Canadian Police website topic about pyramid schemes) that WGI is conducting a pyramid scheme, is a complete misrepresentation and totally prejudicial in its inference to WGIs business and the Canadian proceedings currently on foot.

Finally, we note that the materials provided by Sergeant Suchar are targeted against the WGI business and its purported illegal operations (despite the absence of any charges against the operating company in any country). A common theme throughout this documentation is that WGI is a pyramid scheme because the only way you can make money is by recruiting others. THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE. It is clearly stated in the WGI Policies and Procedures that it is possible to use the WGI products and services without recruiting anyone and still be able to win money. The multi-level marketing option available is only for those who want it, and in fact most users of WGI products do not participate with the multi-level marketing aspects, but instead prefer just to PLAY and HAVE FUN!!!

WGI will be thoroughly investigating its rights and legal options available to it to prevent further distribution of such materials and obtain sanctions against the police officers involved. WGI will continue to strive to ensure that risks posed by these matters are minimised and will keep you informed of any developments.

Kind Regards

I would rather not copy the entire first post of that thread here, as it is bad form to do so.

Since it is by a WGI member who has been posting positively about WGI, I was surprised at the lack of agreement betwenn your information and his. For example:

" brought up several issues that has been discussed here on the forum. Like the lack of information, the situation in the stock game, the arrests made in Canada and WGI's financial situation. Since he is just a normal member, he expressed that he did not know anything more than the information that is currently available to the other members through the leaders in each country.

The lack of information from WGI
WGI does not announce official informaion before its a 100% correct and that it will be carried through. Information is given to leaders in each country. Its their responsebility to pass the information down to their downline, to their sonsored members. Its then again those members responsebility to inform their sponsored members.
Ofcurce I aksed about what those who are sponsored by an inactive sponsor should do. If possible you should go to your sponsors sponsor (or grandfather if you will) and ask for assitance. Or find one of the many WGI communities on the internet. The lesson learned here is that being a sponsor has a responsebility, the responsebility to help your downline to success. Make sure that you understand that reponsebility, and only sponsor people that you would want to work with. Remember that just registering a member, does not give much you money either, close to nothing. If you dont help your sponsored member to duplicate yourself and your work, you will not succed with WGI, or most likely not with any MLM company.
And if you are not a member, make sure you find a sponsor that you can trust, and will be happy to work with (not work for). Joining some affiliate link posted somewhere is not an good idea, not that I think anyone would be that stupid anyway. "

The vulnerability of the Stock Market Game to "panic selling", especially after a jurisdiction must be removed from the game, is brought up. WGI members were told that charges were dropped.

Supposedly, the stock market game, and additional gambling games? are the "product" WGI sells.

Is it possible to play these games without participating in the recruitment of other players?

If so, how much does it cost? Is it more or less than playing the real stock market? What are the other gambling games offered? Are they competitive with gambling products already on the market?

WGI provides a full range online casino powered by Chartwell Technology featuring 35 casino games and online bingo as well.

You can at all times participate both casino games, Stock Market game, globelot lotto services and the sweepstakes8 lottery without any need for recruiting whatsoever.
Recruitment of 2 members or more is only required to receive commissions on other peoples turnover in the provided games.

From June 7th and the next 8 weeks WGI runs a Euro 200/200 matchplay promotion and thereafter a 50% bonus up to Euro 200. See my other post on that subject.

You need to be a member to participate in the games but with the current promotion you actually can pay your membership and then some. Lowest membership fee is a onetime fee of Euro 65 wich includes a Visa Electron card, for easy withdrawals, and tickets in the lottery.

In August a free membership is launched without any connection to the business part. That membership will only grant access to the games as in any other online casinos or gambling sites.

Just a little side note, I sold those 125,000 shares I secured at 0.04 Euro each the day after I posted the above when it hit 0.21 Euro for a nice little profit of 21,250 Euro minus the 10% brokerage fee to WGI making a total profit of 18,625 in a couple of weeks (18,625 Euro works out to approx. $29,800 in my home currency of Canadian Dollars). Not too bad eh. If people are not making money by participating in the MLM they are making a substantial amount by trading the stock, a lot of people are making a good living with the MLM business and also hold substantial amounts of stock. I cant wait until the casino is open to the public and we can promote it. Now because everyone that bought at 0.04 Euro and sold again at 0.20 - 0.21 Euro the stock is down at 0.08 Euro and I will purchase 10,000 Euro at 0.08 - 0.09 Euro for a total of 125,000 - 111,111 shares, can't wait for it to get to around 0.20 Euro again IT'S GREAT

Managed to secure 125,000 more shares at 0.08 Euro each, or a total of 10,000 Euro as I said I would, and just sold them this morning for 0.13 Euro each for a total of 16,250 Euro. Minus out my 10% brokerage fee of 1625.00 Euro and the original 10,000 Euro I bought with and I have a nice little profit of 4,625 Euro in a week. Say what you will, talk all the BS you want about WGI but I have never made the amounts of money in such short periods as I have since I joined this business.

*are there playthrough requirements before cashing out?
*are there charges for cashing out?
*can withdrawals be done by means other than the Visa Electron card?
*does the Electron card charge an annual fee?
*are the withdrawals submitted to VISA as reversed merchant charges?
*can Americans play at the casino?
*Are Americans eligible for the VISA card?

No charges for cashing out. It is a regular online casino. You can have your money wire transferred but I am sure they will introduce other methods once the casino is launched to the public. There is an annual fee for the card just like most credit cards, I will post the exact amount after I look through my booklet. I must note that currently there are three different Visa cards available, one for each level of membership. The premium player Visa that will be released when the casino goes public may not have charges but I will find out. It is actually a debit card that is used like a credit card so there is no credit on it, or a credit limit. Your limit is whatever you load it with. Hopefully the product will be released to America soon, I am getting the information from WGI. They have to make sure they comply with all the U.S. gaming laws.
You can go to www.pay2.net for info on the cards.

What about the people who sold you the "shares"? Did they make a profit, too? Who pockets the 10% brokerage fee?

In any case, the fact that you have made a profit does not prove anything. It is a feature of both legitimate multi-level businesses and of pyramid schemes that some people make money out of them.

What are you talking about? Forget that they use multi level to get members, the stock market works exactly the same as the conventional stock market and the stock market has nothing to do with MLM, I have posted that a hundred times you people do not listen. When I sold my shares and made the profit, someone bought them off of me. Just like when I bought the shares I most likely got them off of someone who bought them in the beginning of the company, has been through 2 splits and made money off of me purchasing them. Do you know how a stock market works? because if you did you would understand the concept. Obviously the 10% goes to WGI. They are the company that runs the SMG, they are the company that makes it possible to do this and participate in such a service. I have no problem with the 10%. You pay a brokerage fee when you buy and sell in the conventionla stock market. The 10% is once and only when selling. It makes no sense for anyone to say that WGI should not get any money from the stock play. It's their business, you think they set up a company to allow people to use their software, their concept with out any profit. Any business will tell you the same thing, we all want to make money including them. You just have a one track mind and have villified them based on the MLM no matter what anyone tells you regardless of whether it is fact.

I brought my cousin in. He wants nothing to do with MLM, and in fact hates MLM. He is an investor and has made good money off the stock market and has only been in for 4 months. The people that posted here about only making money at the top and only people at the start make the money have no idea of the concept of WGI. You can look at it like this, the products support the business themselves and are not dependent on the MLM. The company uses MLM to build the sales force. Now when they introduce the casino and other gaming products to the general public for free, the MLM will have built a major sales force that will be promoting the casino all over the world. If the MLM stopped and the downlines halted the business will still be going strong, they are building a land based casino in the UK, and are also going to launch a online auction site that will compete with EBay in the near future. All these products will be open to the public, not just to members, but the genious is they will have the member base that they built through MLM promoting all of these great products and services. I am not trying to sell this here, and I never have tried to sell WGI to any of you as I have never included my sign up link. I just tell it like it is especially when you have people post wrong information, and they have never been involved with WGI so they just hear MLM and lump it in with all other MLM concepts which is totally wrong because WGI is a unique concept unlike other MLM companies that force tons of product that you must stock and the only way to make money is to recruit and sell the product. You can join WGI and never even think twice about the MLM, that is the beauty.

I buy/sell stocks all the time.
The "virtual stocks" are totally different from conventional stocks. Conventional stocks has value to it, namely the product, the brand name and the asset of the company. What's the value of the virtual stocks? When the company make money, stock holders will get their share. When is the "virtual stocks" make any profit?
The "virtual stocks" is a make believe mind game. People would buy it because they "believe" they can sell it for more. The problem is there is no real value to those stocks and eventually noone will be dumb enough to buy them when the price is too high, the last suckers will find out he bought nothing but air.

When the price of the stock gets "too high" they usually split the stock, giving a nice bonus to those who secured shares before the split and making it fair and attractive to new investors. Regardless of what you say I am making good money from it, and so is everyone else who is buying and selling.

The virtual stock market is based on demand and o the total turmnover in thw company. 30% of all commissions paid to the members must be invested in the stocks for a minimum of 30 days. Thus there's always demand for shares and a growing demand when the turnover in the gambling services are growing. The "dark horse" is how many funds people choose to invest more than the mandatory 30% and that's what creates fluctuations in the shareprice.

The virtual stockmarket is a game of chance like all gambling services, but by knowing the rules of the game you can optimize your strategy and profit from it. With the growth in World Games Inc. activity it's been easy to make money in the game, because prices has been in an almost constantly upgoing trend, but the day we experience Zero-growht in the company turnover, the share price will show a horizontal trend as well.

Very Big News:

World Games Inc Sponsors Herv Favre in Le Figaro
World Games Inc, the fastest growing online entertainment and gaming provider in the world, have agreed to sponsor up and coming Swiss yachtsman Herv Favre in La Solitaire Afflelou Le Figaro 2004.

Chairman of World Games Inc, Mr. Greg Kennedy, says he is delighted with the sponsorship agreement with Herv.

Mr. Kennedy said: "La Solitaire is one of the most exciting and technically exacting races in the Figaro circuit, itself considered to be the world single handed championship.

"The Figaro is the breeding camp for all the best offshore skippers in the world.

"Like World Games Inc, Herv has proved he is a tough and energetic competitor with a full-time commitment to becoming the world's best," Mr. Kennedy said

Starting from Caen on 23 July, the world's best single handed offshore yachtsmen pit their racing skills, their seamanship, their endurance and their athleticism against intense natural elements and a rigorous 1,476 mile course. The racing is so intensive skippers would be lucky to sleep more than a couple of hours each leg and the competition level is so high that it is not rare to see 30 boats crossing the finish line within an hour of each other after three full days of racing.

With 55 competitors in this year's La Solitaire, Herv is one of 16 first time entrants, not only trying to win outright but also competing for the Newcomer Bnteau trophy.

Though still regarded as a "rooky" solo yachtsman, Herv is becoming a seasoned Figaro campaigner, having achieved 6th place in the demanding Mini Transat 6.50.

All competitors have the same class of boat, the very fast 34 foot long Figaro Bnteau 2, so it's the human factor - the right tactics and the best meteorological appreciation that can make the difference between skippers.

The first leg of the Solitaire Afflelou le Figaro goes from Caen in Normandy, and heads for her sister town, Portsmouth, then to the port of St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie before stopping over in Gijon to then cross the finish line at Quiberon in Britanny on or about 13 August.

WGI Welcomes the Proposed New EU Directive on Unfair Commercial Practices
The Commission for European Union proposed last June a new Directive which bans certain kinds of trading practices that are considered unfair. The proposal is still in European Parliament and a Report by the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Internal Market was published last month. After the Directive enters into force member states have 18 months to adopt it.

The Directive will regulate misleading and aggressive commercial practices. Among the most important 'black listed' trading practices are Pyramid schemes. This proposed Directive does not ban Multi-Level-Marketing. The distinction is that in illegal Pyramid Schemes the consumer is given the impression that the compensation primarily comes from the introduction of other consumers into the scheme rather than from the sale or consumption of products.

All unfair trading practises in the proposed 'black list' are already prohibited by WGI Rules & Regulations and the Code of Ethics. Accordingly, WGI welcomes the proposed new Directive as it will give "rough times for rogue traders" as the Commission put it.

WGI urges all members to become familiar with the laws that govern their operations and the specific provisions of the WGI Rules & Regulations regarding promotions (section 9). These can be viewed under the Policies & Procedures link in the "Corporate" menu on your Members Lounge.

You forgot to tell that the stock has fallen dramatically since last split :)
I sold of last spring with a great earning, while my neighbour thought it would grow into heaven. His post worth some 60000 has dwindled to 8000, and I see no end to the drop since the "whales" have tens of millions of stocks they cant get rid of.

And what about the fall from 1 euro to 0.10'ish that the stock is at now?

I only posted the WGI news to see how long it would take for the negativity and cutting up to begin again. If I had posted that WGI lost all of their money, all people involved are being charged, and they will file for bankruptcy then not a soul would respond to that because that is what everyone feeds off of, and they would be content. Because I posted that I made money with the stock, that things were going well for me, and the two quoted newsflashes regarding the sailing sponsorship and conformity to the new EU guidlines, which shows how serious and strong the company is, you had to come in and try and bring it down. Just reinforced what I already knew about people.

What about it? What is your point? I made money and so did a lot of other people. Some may lose if they cashout now but if they stay in for the long term the stock will grow. The point is to buy low and sell high, not buy high and sell low. Tell your neighbor to just hang on to the shares. As the numbers increase so too will the demand on the stock causing a gradual raise. With the upcoming intro of the free memberships it will certainly go up because those people will be able to join free and buy shares causing even more pressure and demand. He could also day trade with what he has got. With the cent fluctuations lately people are making a killing, and I have been making good money with day trading as well. If people just used their brains instead of just jumping on it right away saying "Oh its shit now" or "the stock is gone belly up" use your brains and figure out how to use it to your advantage. Things in life change and its not always predictable, its those people who can adapt and figure out ways to work it who are the most successful. People from the start who hold a lot of shares will have to stay in for the long run, and people who join now have even greater advantage by day trading with the minor cent fluctuations. No one is losing if they use their head DONT SELL NOW IF YOU BOUGHT HIGH! very simple, it's common sense.

07 Jul 2004 - WGI Supports Leaders Legal Challenge To Norways Gaming Monopoly

World Games Inc has thrown its support behind a legal challenge designed to break the Norwegian Governments monopoly on gaming.

The five Norwegian Leaders of World Games Inc have mounted a legal challenge on the Norwegian Government to comply with the EU over internet gaming policies.

The leaders are demanding that Norway change gaming legislation to comply with agreements relating to the freedom of goods, capital and services between EU member countries.

Lawyers representing the five Leaders have served the Norwegian Kultur og Kirkedepartement,(Department of Church and Culture), the body that oversees the implementation of the relevant gaming legislation, with a subpoena. The subpoena demands the Board comply with the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement by not punishing Norwegians for the promotion or marketing of lotteries offered in another EU or EFTA State.

The legal action by the Leaders is significant because it demands the Norwegian Government address the state owned gaming monopoly in Norway.

In the past few years the WGI Leaders have been instrumental in the creation of a large membership base which utilises the entertainment and gaming products and services offered online by WGI (which is based outside of Norway).

The WGI Leaders and their members have been harassed by Norwegian authorities and been subject to misleading media reports about their network marketing activities.

The Leaders say their legal action is designed to force the Norwegian Government to address the issue of online gaming in Norway, and the ability of Norwegian network marketers to conduct their business activities.

A copy of the subpoena (in Norwegian) can be obtained from the independent member website Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

World Games Inc is the fastest growing online entertainment and gaming products and services provider in the world. Its success over the past few years has been sustained by its unique mix of online services which are married to a membership marketing and rewards based network.

Any enquiries regarding this matter should be directed to the WGI Leaders in question or pressenquiries@worldgamesinc.com.
