Unibet players

Unibet Casino has been reviewed at Casinomeister
Is it me, am I blind or does Unibet offer very little in player rewards, whether it be through bonuses or comps?

They wouldn't give you the steam off their p!ss as far a promos/bonuses are concerned. After that 1004 x £1 stake hit I had on Wild Rockets there recently, I shut my account.

Yep, I have played there quite a bit in the last few months, not a penny of an offer, they do pay quick though, I will give them that.

Yeah not to forget cheeky charges on deposit and withdrawals. After losing over £1000 within half year I kindly asked for comp. They could not even offer me 5 free spins and said in email please look out for offers and check in your account........That has now been over half year despite I continued making deposits. I don't see them around in couple years to be honest. Seems they are going the "Ladbrokes" Route ....viva las vegas the king has died :sob:

I keep coming back to check only to see that big fat ENOYING popup "your account is running low please make a deposit" Yeah no shit Sherlock my account is running low with £0,0000000 in it :what:

Also checking my account for bonus the same nice message:

No offers available

Right now there are no bonus offers available. Please try later.

Oh if I am very lucky they might pop in a very generous £5 Free bet (yes that is when you have made 5 bets of £5 that is wow)

Rant over they don't deserve any more publicity :barf:

PS Disclaimer please don't take my language to bad here it was meant also bit of a laugh. IF anyone feel offended feel free to send me PM and I will word it different as offend anyone is last thing I want.

Im glad this came up because i thought it was just me. I probably have spent the most on that site compared to any other site and have had the least rewards compared to any other site. I recently received free funds and spins from loads of casinos for my birthday even casinos i have never deposited at. But unibet sent me nothing and after complaining twice in live chat over the past week i just got the same generic e mail twice about sorry we cant offer you anything but make sure to check your bonus section for the latest offers. And every time i get a bonus its like the guy said above just a stupid spend 20 pounds on football bets and we will give you a fiver back as a free bet. Absolute joke!

No, it's not just you! Have made thousands of euros on deposits the past 1.5 year.

They are stingy as hell. Don't expect a personal approach, because every player is nothing but a number for them.
Every now and then some free spins arrive when a new game is launched, while a re-load bonus is offered maybe once every 6 months?

In addition, I do sometimes get offers on "Risk-Free Bets" which piss me off, since they are anything but riskfree. More like high risk of which UK's Advertising Standards Authority weren't exactly happy about. See following article: Old / Expired Link

They do very little for loyal players. In turn I've been less loyal to them and decreased my play significantly.

I know we all have been complaining about 32Red and what not, but from that perspective they are 20x better than Unibet if we leave the slower payments out the equation.

Funny to read all this - I played my welcome there recently and was curious about their promotions :) I know that I will not give their any more money since they are not willing to give something back.
I also ask myself why you play there so often when they are not generous at all, was that different in the past? Otherwise, just stick with the good ones like betat, redbet, guts, ...

I have had several interactions with support, per mail, chat and i would also count the surveys, which i filled out with long detailed feedback and suggestions. Like all that have posted i spent a lot there, and par the many great games and the speedy payouts, there isn't much going on in there most of the time:

Now they did have a bit of X-mas fun, and i have been talking a lot to Sue, the Unibet Rep, who i must say is a very pleasant and professional person to deal with, and she did ensure me that there will be something happening in that department soon, and i hope it's really soon! I do remember that when i just joined, they had this calendar type thing, which counted your progress, and would award bonuscash or cash @ the end of the month depending on how much you wagered.. I did like that one, they also did it with a freespin counter instead of cash, which was less cool but still ok...

Further i have been able to get a few match ups beside the welcome offer, but i had to write and more or less complain to various departments, and also wrote elaborate emails to Sue, to get her foot in :)

So yeah it is really hard at the moment, but if you persist i think they will at least offer you some, and like i said, i hope they will come out with something snazzy soon, regarding loyalty..

I wouldn't compare them to Ladbrokes as they are much better in my opinion, but they do have to work on the loyalty scheme, also would appreciate a support team with more permissions or ability to award missing promotional funds or spins..and last but not least, their affiliate program also needs more dedicated personnel....

I think they have been focussing a lot on the Poker Client, but that should be settled in about now, so i really would appreciate if their team now would re-vamp the V.I.P. program!

They could be one of the best out there if they pick up their socks, really!

Hi All,

Thank you for your honest feedback. Its obviously disappointing to hear a lot of your comments, but be assured that they are all duly noted and I will make sure all relevant people see this post.

We work really hard to provide a great experience for our players and like to think that we offer something different with our choice of games and exclusives. Whilst we would never claim to be the most generous site, all players should be receiving regular offers that are of interest to them.

Loyalty, bonuses and deposit / withdrawal fees are all very hot topics here. I can't promise to change or deliver anything overnight but there are ongoing projects looking at all of these.

If you do have any suggestions or comments please feel free to send me or Sue (Unibet Rep) a PM and we will do our best to help.

Many thanks

Adam

They added the reward system back this month on the danish unibet atleast, with points for freespin/cash after xx wagering, just kinda disappointed as i remember they talked about adding bonuses and stuff the next time.

But they really need to add more bonuses i do get a 100% up to 200kr every other month but comparing to the betsson group they are long behind as they give 50-100% up to 5-2000kr alot.

I complained to them, & the rep on here, that when I made deposits they were being taken from my bank, and not added to my player account.

Unibet claimed to know nothing at the time, then a week later the money would turn up in my bank again.

I complained about this, 3/4 weeks ago and got a load of stalling tactics from them, i last mailed the rep on here 3 days ago for an update and they have ignore me.

I've no doubt after posting this the rep will be forthcoming again, but it's pretty crap that they do nothing till I publicly discuss it.

its one of my longest accounts i have to date, they was just behind omni in years of accounts until they chopped off uk players , rarely there is a casino match , football betting & the other things yes , but nothing for the slots , i did have a match deposit there last year for up to £200 match .

i think a few other players got this as well, there not on par with 32red in promos but when it comes to cashouts they wipe the floor with them , one of the few casinos left to which pay on time pretty much every time , great selection of games , nice live games ( roulette ) . hope they do start offering some matches on there slots pity because ive always found them pretty good in all departments except for promos

They are generous-ish on the poker client complete missions to earn free bonus cash/tickets/tourney tickets but the site is so full of donkeys it is a painful process winning anything here. They always suckout and ruin your hand in some way or another. As for their site no and even the xmas calendar was rubbish almost every offer involved a deposit hardly a good calendar when nothing is free really.

I'm sorry but this one line really annoyed me. 'all players should be receiving regular offers that are of interest to them'

That's funny because i strictly play slots and games and think i have never placed a sports bet. Yet every week i see i have a bonus to find out it is always related to sports bets and betting. So how would that be of an interest to me. If you sent me a match bonus in the casino section or free spins that would relate to what i actually play on the site not bloody sports bets.

the casino doesnt count a players input in % but in numbers. thats the unfortunate thing here. if a guy can play for example for 20 euro a week, and always plays, he's rated as nothing compared to a player that plays 4 times 500 euro a year.

i prefer my sports betting in places without slots...

I think i get about 1-2 reload offers per year that's it. I don't mean you guys need to offer all the time 50-100% reload bonuses, but at least a 30% bonus or something like that every other week would be fine... I do like the design, the exlusives etc. and i would probably spend lots of time at Unibet but of all the casinos i play i think you guys offered me the lowest amount of bonuses ever.

I complained to them, & the rep on here, that when I made deposits they were being taken from my bank, and not added to my player account.

Unibet claimed to know nothing at the time, then a week later the money would turn up in my bank again.

The money might have never been taken from your bank.

Here is what usually happens when you do a debit card purchase:

The purchase is immediately reduced from your available balance, and the merchant receives information that payment has been reserved from your available and has started it's journey to them. Payment is then pending, and it might be several days or up to week until it is reduced from your total balance.

Some online bank interfaces might show only available balance, and their interface might not separate between pending purchases and fully completed purchases, this might be sometimes technically easier to implement, and also is less likely to inspire bank customers to attempt any fraudulent charge backs.

The online interface of my Finnish bank and Skrill interface show the debit card purchases slightly differently, but both of them have separate total and available balance.

I bought winter boots from a nearby store with my Skrill debit card on one Sunday, the purchase was immediately reduced from available balance the day I bought them, but it was not until Thursday that it was reduced from total balance, and the Skrill logs actually showed that purchase, before that the logs didn't even list the purchase, there was just about 200 euro difference between total and available balance. My online banking interface would have shown that purchase immediately as pending, on yellow background instead of the usual white grey background, and there would have been "reserved from balance BootShopSomethingSomething 200 €" text in it, until it was fully completed, then it would have read "Visa Debit purchase BootShopSomethingSomething 200€" . Anyways, how and when your banking interface shows purchases, whether it separates between pending and fully completed debit card purchases, might vary from bank to bank.

You could try to contact your bank, it could be their fault that Unibet's bank doesn't get that "payment reserved" message from their system, your bank might be in better position to figure out what went wrong than Unibet or their bank. Now whether your bank is interested to use their resources to figure that out, I guess it depends how big customer you are. If other transactions are working fine, your bank might be not that interested to what went wrong in the interaction between them and Unibet's bank, whether it is some unique issue related to your debit card, they might just tell you to use those casinos where you have no issues.

Ahhh, Unibet - one of my often-forgotten favourite casinos, actually. Never had a problem with 'em myself, always found them to be fair, and reliable no-quibble payers.

I don't "DO" bonuses or anything like that, so their perceived lack of enthusiasm in that area doesn't bother me ......

Just lately though I think they may be having issues with their payments system.

Obviously, I'm in the UK, and no matter which credit card I use, Visa or MC - it always gets rejected. Plenty of credit available on all cards used, but it just doesn't happen. No idea why .... maybe it's something they need to look into?

I've had the same problem before & spoke to their support & they always advise me to use a different payment method. After explaining I didn't want to, they advised me to retry & seems after 2nd or 3rd time of trying the same method, it then worked. (The pessimist in me wonders if they do this on purpose to push players to the methods that are cheaper for them to process, rather than those that are convenient for the players).

However, my bank then started locking my card when depositing there (as their systems interpreted my re-try's as potential fraud), so I gave-up playing there.

I also took exception with their wallet... My casino account is in € & poker account (when they were on MGS software) was in $. When I moved funds between accounts, they skimmed a few cents off. When I questioned this I was told this was for processing costs & exchange rate differences. Fair enough, I'll get it back when I move funds again (or so I thought)... Nope. Move €100 to poker & then move it straight back again & balance is now ~€99.90. After that, ALWAYS deposited from debit card directly into the account I wanted it in. No idea if they still do this - as per above, I no longer play there.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's what happened with me and my CC operators. Seems to me that they want you to use Skrill, preferably. Skrill isn't something I'm particularly fond of, but using it appears to have done the trick for me, at any rate.

Just wish they could be up-front about it.

Hmm, not crossed swords with that aspect of their system yet, but then I'm no poker player.

Whereas credit cards might be more expensive than e-wallets, adding fees for e-wallet deposits would enrage quite a few gamblers, whereas for credit cards that 2.5% is the standard used by most casinos. Also that 2.5% fee gets added to debit card deposits, but in reality debit card fees are a lot lower on merchants than credit card fees. Now, paying the winnings on credit or debit card is probably a lot more expensive than paying them into e-wallet, but the deposits fees should make up for most of that.

Most people complaining about credit or debit cards not working properly seem to be from UK, or UK territories, it might have something to do with particular UK bank or UK transactions in general. If it was about them bein anti-credit/debit card in general, I would expect there to be more complaints from different countries.

I only ever deposit / play from a debit card... Safest way to make sure I'm playing within my means

Perhaps, but the same card(s) work with no issues with the other gambling sites I play at. (The nature of my work (and personal gaming) means I'm depositing at 3 or 4 different sites every week). Hence me believing this is an issue specific to Unibet and/or their processor.

Yeah that's what I meant that it's probably between Unibet's processor and some UK bank(s). If it was general Unibet processor problem you would expect there to be at least some complaints from Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Dutch gamblers, who probably make up something like 85-90% of their revenue. If it was general UK debit/credit card problem then there would be more complaints of other casinos.

Again I've pretty much got confirmed what my previous experience was with these guys. Do they give a crap about their customers at all? I doubt it!

Not only are the promotions pretty much useless, they also offer a sad excuse regarding the poker client. The client freezes at random moments every time and is still full of bugs after almost a year since the initial launch. This alone made me a bit sceptical to keep playing on.

Decided to contact the customer support on Saturday and ask if I would get compensation when losing money if the client will freeze again due Unibet's inability to produce a reliable poker client. Got told they would probably award some cash tickets or whatever. Before I first contacted the support I lost around 750 euros Saturday morning during my last 3 blackjack hands.

So this hand obviously is petty change compared to that, but I'm tired of getting ****** over. Normally I would not even bother to contact casino support if this happened with a slot or whatever and accept it as a loss if it only concerned 10 or 20 euros. But it's more of principle thing for me now. Anyway fast forward this morning the client starts to act up again, and exactly when I get pocket aces Unibet Poker freezes after playing 1,5 hour patiently and waiting for some premium hands.

The result is that a lose a small amount of my stack + potential win (or maybe it saved me money - will never know) since I can't act in time due to the client freezing up. Should have known better to continue playing, but in my opinion they shouldn't be offering poker if it's still full of bugs and poker forums like 2+2 still are full of complaints.

So I contact support again and they tell me they investigated the matter and they can assure me that nothing is wrong with the client telling me to check out my internet speed and not to download or w/e, while I've done none of that during play. Most of their customer support replies sound like some automated messages (last email I got talked about an honest client and everything getting checked by third parties, while my complaint doesn't even dispute that). Just for the record, my internet speed is super quick and my laptop functions excellent.

Ever heard of properly testing before releasing a newly product? This never used to happen when they were still on Microgaming. I see players getting disconnected all the time randomly (not by choice). So not only are we battling each other but also the unstable software.

I must admit that there was a time I did make the odd deposit here and there. They are just not my cuppa tea - I share the sentiments, they offer NO value to any player - No Bonuses, No Loyalty. I think I once got a tiny match bonus after asking the rep. I had offers a few years back, but IMPO there are 20 other sites that offer 10 x as much value.

I have not been back there for ages. To others - Is Maria any different?

Nope. You get jack-sh!t from either, not a monthly reload, not a free-spin not the occasional %bonus. So fed up I closed both my accounts, and play where there is at least some player rewards.

I haven't tried Maria yet but I figure you'd be getting the same treatment since it's owned by Unibet as well. Apart from their welcome bonus promotional wise they don't do much special.

They even refused to offer me some compensation of a couple of euros regarding the above poker hand, despite having lost around 2800 euros on slots, live table games and sportsbetting 2-3 days earlier. Makes me think it's company policy to not offer freebies or that are just too big to care. In 1.5 year I only got a 10 euro freebie once which was after wagering around 100K I believe.

So that sums up pretty much how they deal with players and the lack of loyalty.

Closing my account sounds indeed like the right thing to do.
