I until today played poker at Unibet. They have various promos that require wagering. Today without warning they imposed a miniscule loss limit with the limit reached already upon implementation ie for this month its zero. Problem is that I was in the middle of two wagers and a flop race. I now cant complete either wager and will drop out of the flop leader board when its almost finished. This seems very unfair to me and akin to changing terms the majority of the way through a promo. Had they have told me they would stop me playing I would never have started. What are my rights here?
Seems to me they should either allow me a reasonable loss limit so that I have a chance to complete wagering or to pay out pro rata. On the side I had a massive win at another site so there are no safer gaming issues. Conveniently I can play the day after wagering expires.

It's a tough one, because "responsible gambling" rules tend to override anything related to promotions. For example, if you are considered higher risk then all promotions will be removed from your account (which may include those you have already participated in).

I would expect they'll hide behind this, taken from the flop race terms:
Unibet reserves the right acting reasonably to withhold, restrict or cancel this offer from individual account holders in at its reasonable discretion and without prior notice, in the event that an entry is made in breach of the Promotion Terms and/ or the Standard Terms. Otherwise amendments to the bonus will not be made after you are opted in, unless you accept any such amendments.
or this:
Unibet may, at any time, make minor amendments to this promotion to correct typographical errors or to improve on clarity or customer experience and may cancel this promotion for legal or regulatory reasons.

Unfortunately it's something that UK players have to be careful with - because such promotions are encouraging them to play more, which then triggers RG thresholds, which then restricts them from said promotions.

The logical conclusion is that they stop offering such promotions to UK players, which is already the case with some operators...

By all means raise it as a complaint, they might be willing to offer some goodwill - but they may also tell you to talk to the hand. Depending on how that plays out, you should be able to escalate the complaint and/or take it to ADR, and while that doesn't cost you anything it may be futile given how responsible gambling rules attach to everything.
