UK Regulation - Has It Affected You (Poll)?

Apart from limiting the number of autospins, which is hardly a 'significant impact'. It hasn't really affected me.

When I sign up to a new casino, I'm as good as verified now.

The RG tools at licensed casinos, are more comprehensive and compulsory .

Other players have been affected with the dreaded SOW requests. But that seems to be more down to the misinterpretation/misuse of the rules by, mainly, Maltese casinos. plus those rules aren't just UKGC, they're EU. So will be coming to the MGA, soon, if they aren't already in place.

If I take a bonus, my cash is no longer tied to wagering.

Although bonuses are becoming rarer, this is more likely down to the level of taxation, than UKGC rules.

It seems like most of the complaining is coming from the casinos themselves, who can't now operate like they did in the 'wild west' days, getting away with what they wanted, and making the rules up as they went along. And from non-UK players, who aren't even affected. It reminds me of those people, who get offended on behalf of someone else.

Things like AutoSpin and clicking STOP are disabled, for starters. There are other things too I am forgetting, but I did notice right away once UK regulations went into effect. Roxy Palace/32 Red was the first, but even now at Trada, we cannot have the auto stop or autospins without putting in an IF BET DECREASES BY enforced because of where the server is. Really? Am new there, just assumed it was UK regulation. Wonder if it falls more under the "responsible gaming" umbrella and they are just taking the initiative. Cause other providers ie Quickspin, it does work. DOA2 at any other number of casinos you can stop the reels, so is it Casino or Providers that choose?

Not that I am in a rush to lose my money or anything....hehe. It's the OCD in me I guess, Stop the reels 8 times, then 25 autospins, rinse repeat recycle... Am I the only one who has these types of insane Patterns they employ?

Little difference IMO. We've been used to nannyism for a while regarding autoplay anyway and withdrawals seem to be done to the same timescales as before. The only negative is more on a macro scale - the number of casinos we have available is diminishing daily it seems.

Agreed Dunover, thankfully there are enough solid ones to get us by. Not like the days when 72 Casino Rewards branded casinos was considered ample selection. The industry is now riddled with responsible gaming restrictions/changes that I am not fond of, but I do in a sense support the end result. Gaming was problematic for a time, and if the tools had been in place that are now...perhaps I would not have gone through that dark time.

No discernible difference as of yet. The Auto-spins manoeuvre was just wank and hasn't done anything other than annoy.

Bonuses are pretty much dead across the board (whatever happened to 'Fair Spins') and I haven't been harried to provided any SoW, mainly because they'll find I have none.

As for signing up, I don't know because I don't join new casinos, no siree. But it is a good thing that's been implemented in regards to pre-deposit verification etc

I voted "negative" because of the large number of casinos I liked playing which have been forced to leave the UK market.

The most recent of which, Vera & John, is a massive blow to me as it has been my best casino to play at for a couple of years...

It is a massive impact in that playing since 2003, my play style has had to have a total overhaul, play time vastly reduced, no choice where to play really where I used to have 5-6 regular places, now just one.

Also the associated perks, just look at the cut backs VS have made, blue wheel now for win 10,000 times in DoA which usually results in a useless battle ticket, used to be 100+200 FS in the same game, that's just the tip of the iceberg

Is it not just down to your 'level 21' obsession, that you're only playing at one casino? lol
You've already said that VS have cut the perks to the bone.
( I remember when completing the DOA trophies, gave you 100 spins at 90p. I think they'd forgotten to set the stake, and it was just playing at default, because it did drop to 9p after a while)

You be better off playing at some where like Novibet. Because the amount you're wagering to reach level 21 at VS, you'd probably have a grand in cashback, the way Novibet works

I'm finding that playing with a bonus, is safer than it's ever been.
In fact, considering that they're all parachute, there's little reason not to take one.
Play your cash first, then you've got a second chance, if you lose it.
Most sites now lock-out any excluded games, and Quite a few have a max bet setting in RG

I am a deposit bonus user so yes it's been massive to me. There could be an argument for its killing off the fact there are far too many casinos but equally if the same casinos survive and dominate the market then there is no genuine competition for the customer.

I have had a couple of bonus offers each month but not over keen on them.

*Casumo - 50%, 60%, 80% - However 30xD+B no thanks lol
*Leo Vegas (previously the best bonus system out there IMO) but now, wager cash 35x THEN bonus credits, whats the point, you'll bust out 9/10 with no upfront bonus as a back up.
*Caddell - Bonus banned across the board not once but TWICE lol, their system was also great IMO.
32 Red - loyal for years and expanding their offerings of late but 5% - 10% offers are all I get
Guts - Once again loyal for years but I do not trust their new management one bit
MT Secure - Have the feeling they have no idea how to interpret the new UKGC rules so decided to stay away 'just in case' as although I could easily do so, I don't feel I should have to provide SoW.
L&L - Now these guys do send offers worth taking and this is where I will be heading once that purple wheel has been spun, I'll also stick with VS as a 'cash only' site but these will be mostly my main 2 places.

As long as I get there before they pull the plug, level 21 will give me a minimum of £200 wager free cash which to a small budget/low roller like me is well worth the wait (well almost)

Should they pull it now, I am that close they'd lose me forever (have about 11K left to wager)

Trouble with the Casumo offers say you take a 50% and have a balance of £300 after an early hit, you can only cash out 2/3rd's of it. Mongoose (IIRC) have limited providers and hence I have not joined them (well don't think I have )

Not noticed a huge difference myself apart from the odd request for more info which has not, as of yet, been too intrusive for me to feel uncomfortable.

I am concerned slightly with operators leaving as a result of the stringent conditions and wonder how this will affect the future.

I agree we are nannied and believe a person should be able to carve their own way without certain limitations.

Been using L&L a lot more rcently and I like the cut of their jib. Still a big problem with no weekend withdrawals and that is a major drawback for me. Doing quite well with raw deposits at Rizk of late but all good things come to an end very quickly.

I was somewhere between "negative impact" and "no significant impact", but ultimately went with "negative impact".

Most of that impact comes down to casinos leaving the UK market. Loved playing at Fortune Lounge Group until they left the UK in 2014.
Also quite liked playing at Maria (left in May this year) and Casino Room (who left a month ago I think?).

If Casino Rewards were to leave the UK, that would be a major blow to me, as it would more or less leave me with only 32Red and Poxy Ralace as my only Viper Client casinos. MG Viper on autoplay is still by far my favourite way to slot.

It won't all be bad though. Sky Vegas, Bet365, Gala, Royal Panda, Rizk and GUTS cover most of my bases in terms of providers and games.

The intrusiveness of the source of wealth requests have made it a negative impact for me. The what seems endless supplies of documents goes a little too far in my opinion. When Skrill transactions to and from a single UK bank account are not sufficient, you are left to think what other purpose there is considering that UK banks already have very stringent money laundering tools in place that would and should have caught any wrongdoing way before the casinos touch the money.
