Bryan, do you think it is time to issue a warning about quicktender/usemywallet?

The time frame QT/UMW asked for has come and gone without a single word from them other than their original statement.

QT/UMY will not respond to emails and their chat has closed down. Inquiries to their 'help' form only get a canned auto response.

They are NOT talking to anyone.

They are STILL allowing people to deposit WITHOUT a way to withdraw.

No one that is owed money has been paid.

This needs to brought to everyone's attention, so they are not depositing money they will NEVER be able to withdraw...

USEMYWALLET

I got an email today saying they were having technical problems and to check back in 5 days. Does anyone know whats up with them?

Ya back on the 6th of May UseMaywallet/Quicktender had an "Incident" and ALL withdrawals were stopped.

No one knows for sure what happened, UMW is not talking and that email you got asking you to wait five days... well some of got those exact same emails last Friday the 13th.(ya I know Friday the 13th... ah shit)

I personally believe that they were hacked and the money stolen. QU/UMW has inffered that the US DOJ has seized the money, but there is NO evidence to support that.
So far no one knows for sure just what happened and QT/UMW are not saying anything, in public.

But the FACT is that they are still taking deposits... without telling people that they have NO WAY to withdraw... now that is ROGUE, imo.

I was also thinking about organizing everyone that is owed money and filing charges in the UK where UMW/QT are located.

Since I am not a lawyer and won't pretend to even understand...
Is it possible for a class action type suit against QT possible? Even with the terms and conditions stating they are not a banking institution and once the money leaves their hands they aren't responsible? I'm only asking because...Isn't an electronic agreement considered binding, since you have used their services?

I also think a warning about QT is a must. Too many unsuspecting players will think/assume because they can deposit using QT they will also be able to withdraw using the same method. Only to find their funds aren't able to be delivered to their banking institution.

Perhaps some of the casino reps will chime in and possibly alert the players how their casino/group are handling the QT issue and possible remedies for players to obtain their winnings.

Just my 2 cents...

Just because someone puts it in a contract does not make it legal. (for example - If you sign a contract to sell me your first born child... is it legal and enforceable by the courts... of course not.)

And they have a legal responsibility to take 'reasonable' care of our money.. If they allowed it to be stolen when in their care, they are legally responsible...no matter what they put in the fine print.

:) Not trying to get your dander up, I really don't know how far they can legally push the electronic signature bit. BTW, I'm on your side, just trying to understand some of the legalese is all. Please bear with me, as I may have some more questions (questions others may not wish to ask).

Sorry. I know my answers are a little short today. It's not you, it's me.

I am looking at losing everything I have worked towards for over 12 years because of this... I am not in a good mood.. So I apologize if I am coming across as being rather short and cranky.

I am not up on all the laws that apply here either. But I will be. I have my lawyer working on this as we speak.

Bryan, do you think it is time to issue a warning about quicktender/usemywallet?

Bryan is on the road, heading to the Dublin conference, so he may not respond as quickly as usual. If you want him to see this ASAP you know how to use the "Report Post" feature.

Thanks max, but Bryan has already seen this.
I think he waiting on QT/UMW to reply to him, but I don't want to speak for him.

they told me this

Q T told me this and i posted on another thread about this =this is what they said

you can deposite and go to the merchant;s ie casinos but they at this time cant bring it home to the USA ,so i take it this way your casino must assure you of a payment plan to award you your winnings like bodog or 3 dice if these casino sports books can figure it out why cant the rest of them

I would strongly recommend that no one deposits into QT at all. Until they come out publicly and explain the whole ball of yarn, I would not trust them to take my deposit and get it to the vendor, whether it is a casino or a retail transaction. If they had been up front about what was going on, that would be something else. But, they didn't.

I know Bryan is doing all he can to get info out of them, hopefully they are being truthful with him.

Hey Lotso, your box is full, no PMs for you!!! :p

I have checked with QT

They assure me that the money I transfered to "merchant" has already be received by the merchants.

I believe them. Regarding whether they have various payment plans in their contracts with merchants that accept credit cards, I don't know because they didn't answer that portion of my question.

I haven't deposited to Qt since merchants discontinued them and have been using other deposit methods and requesting a different payout method.

I just feel that my account information my end up being compromised if they are forced to produce the information to DOJ. Maybe the U.S. is just going to go after the u.s. bank accounts as QT reported. I hope so.

Regarding lotso comment

RE: might not want to refer people to this link;

Find the comment made strange considering he started the personal attacks and problems.

Many PM's to me telling me that Lotso does this to many members. If this true, why is he still a member of this forum?

Anyway, I wouldn't listen and post the links you want

Well posting something like this is a good way to derail this thread too with personal stuff.

If you have a problem with a members' behaviour, contact the mods by reporting the post.

I see,

If you have a problem with a members' behaviour, contact the mods by reporting the post.

So its ok for someone to post not to post a link but not ok for me to comment that they should post the link.

and ok for you to post the above comment?

Sorry but I can post what I want. Get a grip

A clarification on why I thanked Nifty's post...
It would be nice to have a member to member informative thread without all of the personal stuff. The other thread has many, many pages with lots of derailments inbetween. If we can have 1 thread without all of the gobbletygook it would be nice. This is important to all US players, so please, can we all be nice to one another?

Done with my part of derailing the thread...

Followup to my comment on quicktender paying merchant

Based on many of the posts I decided to quiz QT further on the issue of paying the casino when we transfer funds. I decided that Merchants also had a quicktender account and the money was only transfered that account. Initially they assured me they were being paid; but, they failed to say the money wasn't being transfered to the casinos own bank account. And that the Merchant basically had no access to it.

After pushing them further, I just received this response:

The funds are transfered electronically to the merchants QuickTender account, but as you can understand, we are unable to process any withdrawals at the moment until the issue has been investigated and fixed to avoid any further inconvenience
.

There in lies the problem. The funds are only being transfered around from one QTaccount to another and nobody can withdraw it to their bank.

I agree that at this time it is worthless to depost to QT until the merchants are able to withdraw their money.

KUDOS to Casinomeister for taking quick action on this issue, even when he was traveling.

This is an important issue and something that people needed to know about.

I do believe that this warning helped a lot of people.

I think QT is working hard for a resolution, but till the problems are fixed, players need to know what is going on... or at least know that other people were aware of and working on the problem.

I'd like to make a correction to my last post.

I no longer think that QT is working hard to fix the problem.
I now think this is a huge rip off.

QT continues to take deposits without have a way for people to withdraw.
QT refuses to say what has happened or give a time frame when this will resolved.

This is really bad...

Maybe the 'Be Aware' needs to be something stronger now??

If you go to QT all you get is a white page with the following:

With regret, the Quicktender service has been discontinued. All account holders will be notified by email.
