The Hype Gaming Thread

Dormant account
This is a continuation of the the sidetracked thread started in Winner Screenshots. I have no complaint with them per se, because I have not done business with them, so I am not posting this in the complaints section.

Anyway, I was curious about them so I downloaded the software and was a hair away from signing up, but decided I had better check out the Terms and Conditions first. Glad I did! Because of this term alone, I am completely turned off and will not sign up here:

Monitoring of Gaming Patterns
Hype monitors Hype user's betting patterns in accordance with the Hype Privacy Policy. Where Hype identifies an exceptional change to any Hype users betting patterns, Hype will contact the identified user and request an explanation of the exceptional change in the user's betting patterns.

In the event that Hype is dissatisfied with a user's response to an exceptional change query, Hype reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend the user's account until further notice.

Nope, sorry. There is rarely a rhyme or reason to my betting style and I certainly don't want or care to explain myself. What exactly do they want to hear? That I clicked the wrong button by accident? That I bet $45 a spin because it's a full moon? Or that I bet 20 cents a spin because I'm low on funds?

Hype: "Sir, we've noticed an exceptional change in your betting style lately. Would you care to explain?"

Me: "Sure, I'd be happy to. The reason for my erratic betting style is because I wanted to see if you would actually call me to ask what's up."

Hype: "I'm sorry, but management's decision is to confiscate your deposit, bonus and winnings, and to permanently close your account. Please note that the decision of management is final. Thank you for choosing Hype Gaming."

I considered signing up until I saw that it uses "Player Preferred" software, and there is a 200xBonus wagering requirement on Blackjack (100xBonus on other table games). Since then there has been several player complaints.

Out of curiosity I signed up and played on practice play. Beautiful graphics but only 5 or 6 slot games. No VP that I saw. A waste of good graphic artists. Was bored in 30 minutes and uninstalled it. Maybe they will wise up.

I signed up last night and did well. Withdrew $1000 after meeting T&C's (forgot that you get the signup bonus automatically). Did well, got it up over $1600. Great bonus round payoffs which were in the $100's of dollars except one round at $37.50 at $3.75 spin bet.

Now to see if they pay.

I agree the blackjack terms are a bit ridiculous (WR). The slots are your typical, though. I played quite a bit here and withdrew no problem. I can say that I certainly have erratic betting patters :) I play slots exclusively - and will bet anywhere from $0.25 to $10.00 per spin depending upon 'how I feel'.

I haven't been questioned yet - but not too worried about it. Sucks that they put that into their T&C's, though. I'll have to point them to this thread so that they can see what they are getting into with these predatory clauses.

Anyway - not too many slots, but the Treasure Hunter slot makes up for it in my opinion... There is really nothing remotely like it out there and I have gotten A LOT of huge bonus wins there (ranging from $75 to multiple over $200 and all the way up to a little over $800 - all from a $2.50 spin)

Thanks for opening this thread - the winning screenshots was getting derailed :)

To be fair though - that pretty much describes any of the MG "Big Three" scatter slots at £2.25 a spin. Anything up to and above 1000x your bet...

For sure... However, there aren't many casinos out there that compete on this scale with MG. Most other slots (from other casino software) produce crap. - not all, mind you, but a good many.

Plus - I really like the completely different bonuses available in 1 single slot. That makes it a bit more interesting and fun when you have 3 sets of scatters each with a bonus (1 doubles as a wild), another bonus (not scatter, but typical 3 on a payline), and good wins EVERY time you get a bonus :)

I guess I am biased because I have been playing for some time now and just keep winning :) Maybe I will change my tune when I lose. Hope that comes later than sooner.

:D

But the odds of hitting anything remotely decent on these are very slim...whereas the Treasur Hunter bonus rounds are very large EACH and EVERY TIME. I really enjoyed playing it last night myself..the free spin bonus round hit for no less than $250 on 5-6 free spins and 9-12 multiplier EVERY time..It even rang up to over $360 on one 6 spin session..

The other two bonus rounds were just as exciting..no les than $225.00 for the Tiger bonus and jewel bonus round..then the jewel is wild to boot and a scatter if you only get two..now..

I don't think MG can compare any game to this for "Big Three" will suck you dry and only give up the goods very seldom..and only has the "Free Spin" bonus whereas the Treasure Hunter has 4 bonus rounds which include, the maps (2 for a scatter pay and three for choosing your path to the treasure) , the jewels (match play multiplier, and is wild and a scatter if only 2 are hit anywhere), the tiger (also a scatter pay if 2 are hit anywhere , and matching the jewels for the idols eyes when 3 are hit) , and the hunter ( 2 for a scatter pay on 1st 2 reels, and 3 for the free spin)

Really a very good slot with lots of different bonuses and great payouts.. and I got to cash out on my very first visit after playing for 4 hours! :D

Here's another fun rule:

Any action relating to this agreement will be governed by the laws of a jurisdiction of our choosing.
So let's see... hypothetical situation - they're in Australia, I'm in the US. I win big, and they choose to apply the laws of Afghanistan (where all forms of gambling are illegal)?

Does anyone know where they are based out of anyway? Their web site claims that they are licensed by the big K, but the Kahnaw:ke Gaming Commission web site indicates otherwise:

Old Attachment (Invalid)

I have nothing informative to add... merely sharing my warm fuzzy feeling :) after reading through this interesting thread (and others) ...

I never knew this casino or software existed. I'm reading and learning. All of which will help me make an informed decision later.

I love this place!! (CM's)

Slots looked interesting, I played for fun - went through a grand at twenty five quid a spin in seventeen minutes and no feature! :eek2:

I agree the MG "Big Three" can be great or dreadful in terms of return - but that's half the fun :D

hype was just profiled in cbw as a target for bonus whoring. cbw advises players to bet the wad on baccarat/paigow/whatever, then switching to french roulette and betting red or black many thousands of times to grind out the wr. the reason is because the bonus is only worth doing if you double up off the bat, otherwise you get ground down over the massive wr.

a little strange that a player would be so risky in betting 400 dollars on a single hand of say baccarat, then being so rockish to bet red or black thousands of times at a minimum stake with la partage (half paid back on 0). they want people to admit they are abusing the bonus. you don't walk into a casino intending to either lose it all quickly as possible or hit a massive score and play on "free money" all day. who plays like that? only someone who's dropping the huge bets with comp chips, that's who.

not saying they're right to phone you up over it, as it's not their business how we bet. but they have likely been hit hard the last month and want to deny a few winnings. sad but true, when aff's run whoring sites the casinos allow this and then they change t&c's, sometimes retroactively, when they start to feel the burn. the rule in question is absurd, but they are likely doing damage control after realizing what they were getting into with their bonus. close the abuse loophole! batten down the hatches!

I just cannot stand the term "bonus abuser", a Casino offers a Bonus connected to certain Terms and Conditions.

As long as you follow these rules i can not think of an abusive way, sure you can utilize the Bonus to push your edge over the wr.

But lets stick to the hype example what a about the people who lose their big bet? What about the people who run into the sick variance with roulette? If you do 4 big spins on a slot with your Bonus did you abuse it?

When a Casino realizes they offered a to generous Promotion its for sure their right to change it in whatever way they like, but not for those how signed up under diffrent conditions. How things like this are handelt distinguishes the classy Casinos from the shady ones.

So - are they just screwing people over at cbw? Sounds like they are hanging them out to dry just to get players to me. (sorry if I am offending anyone)

annoying :(

Please stick to the topic and and quite using guerilla marketing. Who do you trying to fool. The avarage advantage Player can spot the diffrence between an affiliate who is in it for the cash the ones that play a fair game with their players plus get their share for the effort.

silcnlayc,

I talked to the cs when I withdrew and asked if they needed anything for me to cash out and they said that if they needed to verify they will e-mail me a request for docs otherwise it is in process...unless otherwise asked for, which they have not.

Did you need to send in docs for a withdrawal?

Well I am not sure about the customer service, I had issues depositing, my card kept getting declined, the only place and time it has done so, I emailed customer service asking if they have all my personal info correct, that was 15 hrs ago and no response.

Are you talking about me? I am starting to think you have something against me :) No - I am not posting in an attempt to gain players. I am posting because I play there a lot and happen to know a thing or 2 about them. Sorry if you feel that way.

Anyway - off topic, sorry.

I did, originally. Had to send ID / Utility bill.

Hi silcnlayc,

i asked the cs whether i met the wager requirements and he says yes i done.
then i asked the same as you and he says that they need verifying Documents.

No problem, i done it as i left the Chat, but there is no receiving mail that they got it.

Now we can do nothing as only waiting and look what happens

Good Luck (and me too)

I used Neteller....maybe that is why they haven't asked yet?

I use Neteller as well. However, I think a stoppage was triggered when I thought my W/R was up and attempted a withdrawal. I did this twice and after that when I tried to withdrawal it would just say 'Withdrawal failed'. Then I talked to support and they told me they wanted id.

Not sure if that was it or not. It was also a significant amount of money, so maybe they flag withdrawals over a certain amount. Wish I knew for sure.

I downloaded and signed up. I don't know where the heck it installed to, it didn't give me a choice when I clicked Run. I'll have go digging in My Computer. Lovely slot games. The graphics are beautiful on most. For those who play(ed) at Lasseter's, Hype has Eye of Horus, Shaman's Dream, and SuperNova. I deposited $25 w/NETeller, received an automatic 100% match bonus. Didn't last long, saw few hits and most were less than half my bet, and I saw no bonus rounds on any game I played. (But everyone already knows I haven't been able to hit the side of barn with a Mack truck this year anyway -- anywhere. Yes, I'm disgusted. :p ) Looking at the paytables on the fanciest slots (Treasure Hunter, etc.) the bonus rounds promise to be great fun.

I keep my resolution at 800 x 640, and it changed to 1024 x 860 when the casino launched, and then when the casino closed, after a second or two it changed back to the original settings. No big deal, but disconcerting the first time it happens.

Overall... a 3 out of 10 for this software. It has potential, and the vid slots are beautiful, but they need a wider variety of games.

Update: I found where the casino installed itself. C drive -- Documents and Settings folder(??) Sheesh... Note to Hype software people: How about including an option that lets the user choose drive and folder to install to. I've got 5 partitions on my drive and I never (if I have a choice) install casinos on C:
