Sssh don't let the Viking here you say that lol :p

In all honesty tho matey, Iceland are no mugs, I've watched 2 of their group matches and they do play some good football.

I don't think it will be any more than 3 England goals max after the Slovakia 'struggle' (yes dominated but ran out of ideas in the end) and I'd say Iceland won't finish without scoring at least one!

AYMK I have the odd 'daft/you never know' bet here and there, tonight's is England 4 - 2 Iceland. A lovely 80-1 shot with £2 riding all the way :p
4-2? Only if we have a player sent off.
Does anyone else think that the thing missing from this tourney is South American and African teams?

Looks like it is going to be Germany - Italy yet again. :D

Spain playing pretty badly today, certainly not like a current champion :o

I had to miss most of the Italy game partly due to a little one insisting on having control of the TV.

Ironically it was to watch How I met your bloody mother

And England is out!

Fantastic Iceland - great and inspirational fight. I can't believe it.

:D

Before anyone says it - yes, England are making a habit of leaving Europe this week....

Exactly. Why do things in half-measures? England were just following the sentiment of the nation and going full gun. After all, out means OUT!!

You need to naturalise a decent keeper though, EU or not. Joe Soft is just abysmal.

Well I had a fiver on italy to win came in a 11 to 4
and a tenner on Iceland to stuff us Brits which they did got 5 to 1 on that.

For a none footy fan im pretty happy with the returns.

But England did SUCK tonight ... gotta love the under dog ;)

p.s sorry didn't realize the image was so big ... cant see how to remove it and add a smaller one.

Seems I got lucky again with Betsafe and once again caught them with their trousers down :D PS bet was made back just before Euro 2016 started.

1. Sigurðsson to score 2 or more goals and Iceland to qualify from Group stages
Price Specials - Football - Euro 2016
Bet Type: null, You bet on:1

Okay from my understanding which I actually investigated earlier back in time is that Iceland actually have 2 players with this surname which made this bet particularly interesting. When thinking back I am not actually why I risked £10 on this as it was a quite big longshot. But there is 2 players with Sigurðsson. A Defender and a Striker.

Ragnar Sigurðsson - defender(scored against England)
Gylfi Sigurðsson - striker (scored a goal in group stage)

So Betsafe made mistake to not include any first name or anything which makes the bet open. Also no terms or anything was attached or connected. So by saying 2 goals or more and to qualify from group stages means it does not say 2 goals has to be in group stages only that they have to qualify from group stages.

Would you guys agree in my above statement and that Betsafe should pay out this bet?? As we not have a total of 2 goals scored by "Sigurðsson". I am waiting for their reply in email :) Could end up with a pab here

But once again looks I strike a nice high odds. Like my one earlier with the Hungarian Goalkeeper to wear his grey "lucky" pants. I do hope they honour my bet. I know they are not really around in our forum here so not trying to use peer pressure as they are already looking at my email. But just wanted to show another nice bet i made and have you opinion.

PS also one way i am sad about England as I cheer them on here. BUT on other hand very nice to see the vikings from Iceland win (Scandinavia) :P
Iceland was actually part of Denmark up until 1904 from around 1800. And actually up until 1944 where they got independence. So In one way it is with some kind of Danish fighter spirit they play with haha. Though they call Denmark for Scandinavia's Barcelona and we cant call them that but anyways well done :D

Surprise, surprise  :D

Didn't watch it as i was soundly asleep by the time the game started. But when reading the reports on the news channels i get the impression they would have lost against a "pub league" team as well or maybe Faroe Islands  :D

Don't take it to "hart" on Hart, he made one mistake, the players in front of him countless and Roy Hodgson just as well. Why he never brought Vardy from the start is still a mystery to me, this guy was the top scorer in the PL and was sitting on the bench most of the time

Cos Hodgson is a clueless twat.

At least he has gone now, silver linings and that.

Just wonder who we are going to get next

If I had those two in a double I would have enlarged that pic more

Knowing the FA (that's Failing Amateurs to anyone not in the know) I heard that they're seriously contemplating BoJo as next manager. He fits all the criteria to be successful: Tactically clueless, spins the truth and magnificent motivational skills, mainly via the medium of his funny barnet.

I mean why not, it's not that unrealistic. We're already the laughingstock of the world, so who better to run out national team?

If not, we can always go with that seasoned winner, who has achieved everything at domestic and continental level, Gareth f*cking Southgate

With Gove as his sidekick he would have OFSTED put the team under special measures

Should he fail in his bid for presidency, the FA should nab Trump. we've done the overseas manager thing before, plus he's an excellent tactician and has great PR.

He'd also improve our defence, what with his fondness of building large walls and keeping out foreigners

Perhaps goalkeeper Joe Hart's lack of mobility can be put down to this pre-tournament incident with the England mascot, may have been a bit sore. I know how he feels, having been penetrated by that raping rhino myself - but he should have been honest and told the manager "don't play me".

They came back and said since we did not clearly note the player we will keep bet open until next Iceland game against France to see which player maybe will score 2 goals??

HMMMM not sure if I am happy about this.... They did not write it clearly and should pay out the bet as 2 goals been scored in total.

Some funny comments/pictures i saw today surfing through the news sites, of course most connected to the Brexit :D :D

- First the English do politics like Wayne Rooney, then they play football like Boris Johnson
- Iceland is supposed to be cheap but Joe Hart saved nothing
