After looking over all the rogue casinos listed at Casinomeister, I noticed A LOT of them were from Playtech. Should I stay away from all playtech sites just to be safe? Or are there some really good exceptions? Thanks all!

The accredited ones are good!

Absolutely not - though you are quite right to be very cautious.

Casinomeister lists 9 Accredited Playtechs which are perfectly safe to play at: Old URL
These casinos do not follow the mould of the rogues and are as safe as accredited casinos using any other software.
Pretty sad situation though, that only 9 out of 85+ Playtechs on the net have decent operators.

I'm sincerely hoping that Bryan's roguing of all those immoral places will FINALLY get Playtech to sit up, smell the coffee, and realise that they simply can NOT treat their players with such contempt. Great software - but a really shitty attitude. :(

KK

Some of them are not rogue per se, just not recommended because of that progressive jackpot rules.
However, keep your Playtech play at Omni / Fly Casino, Paddy Power or Bet365 and will be in good hands.

If you like to play with a bonus Omni/Fly are highly recommended, but those other two are great multi-software sites.

Good luck!

Okay - I'll check out the accredited playtech sites now! Geez though, that company really needs to be careful with some of the operators. I think they make up at least 50% of the rogue list lol

THANK YOU ALL REPLIES!!! :D

True!

This issue with the progressive jackpot which noone knows who won, or at what casino it was won is as bad as those terms.

As others have posted, plenty of decent Playtech sites out there. They are one of the biggest developers in the industry so for every 10 decent sites, there will always be 1 or 2 that don't cut the mustard so to speak. Judge it on a case by case basis though. I think these days you have to have your wits about you wherever you play.

In Playtech's case it is more like for every decent site there are 5 to 10 crappy ones. ;)

Betfred are also on the accredited list but you need to read their terms carefully. The sign up bonus is 'sticky' and having played there in the past,it seems that all the bonuses they offer follow the same pattern.Quite unusual I would have thought for such a huge brand to implement this.

Try Bet365 as well. They pay pretty fast, and they offer lots of bonuses for their standalone Playtech Download Casino. You don't get lots of offers automatically, but there's a "BONUS TEAM" button and if oyu ask them they often give you 50 or 100% slots match bonuses, especially if you lost your last deposit without taking a bonus.

Sad but true

Unfortunately the majority of them are terrible in thier practices, but I have had only good experiences with FLY casino and Boyle casino both are brilliant with their customer service and payouts :D

I had no idea there were so many rogue playtech operators. I assumed they were pretty solid as almost every UK based operator seems to run playtech games.

Also bet365 is by far the best option as mentioned above, can't fault them.

What's not to like about Playtake?

Apart from the shitty low RTP's of 90-92 on many of their games which decreases average playtime by over 40% compared to 96% slots, apart from allowing casinos to 'disappear' jackpot money, apart from batshit-crazy instalments on jackpots which the customer would need to be immortal to collect (if the casino never mysteriously went 'bust'), apart from some criminal operators, apart from the f*ckwit 96-hour pending many have, apart from them spreading like herpes among all the bookmakers?

Other than that they're fine.

I used to play a lot of Playtech games about 18 months back (think I used Eurogrand, Mansion, Supercasino and Winner casinos) and ok, general play didn't yield much in way of RTP, but I used to play for the bonus games and progressives. Did have quite a few big wins (ok, went through a fair bit of cash trying for the bonus) on the Spiderman, Hulk and Iron Man 3 bonus rounds. I also got the progressive bonus round up 4 times resulting in wins of £1800, couple of £300+ and another of about £160. All progressive bonus rounds popped up from £2.50 per spin stakes and mainly on Spiderman. No problems in getting these paid out.

Ok, in reality these slots weren't great if wanting to play for a lengthy time with minimal loss, but lovely when the bonus rounds popped up as that is where the money is.

Dunover pretty much beat me to it with most of what I wanted to say,

There are so much better software providers than Playtech - Scraping the barrel to put it politely if your reduced to playing their garbage offerings.

Remembering that they are there to take our money :p however the fairest providers atm seem to be Netent, followed by WMS.

I'd usually recommend Microgaming top but I'm in serious tin foiling mode regarding those guys presently, sure it will pass.

The original thread title sums it up nicely - minus the '?'

I get that they have low RTP, so in the long run they're worse than MG or NetEnt.

I get that most Playtech casinos are, if not rogue, then at least not very player-friendly either.

All this doesn't change the fact that my biggest withdrawals come from Playtech. It also doesn't change the fact that Playtech slots actually do give me more playtime than Netent or MG often does - not always, but it's quite common in my case.

I had quite a few good wins on Playtech slots and some of those games I really like. I get that mathematically speaking it may be a bad choice to play those games due to their lower RTP values, but what can I say? I seem to keep winning there, so why shouldn't I play those games? :)

unlike what I read sometimes in the forum for me the best is lesacasino and mansion group . several years of play, several withdraw small and big no problem at all

I'm not Playtime's biggest fan, but I don't think it's fair to try to give the impression they have terrible RTP's.
OK, so you did say "a few" - and that's what it is. The majority are more than 95%.

I quite like dragon kingdom and marilyn monroe I think they are decent low rolling slots with good win potentials. I have had some ok/decent wins on playtech but would never play them religiously.

They are better than isoftbet at least - I have played isoftbet a fair bit this year at NextCasino and have won crap all on their slots. I am going to stay away from isoftbet now its even harder to win on their slots than novomatic/wms or playtech.

These 2 slots unfortunately belong to the lowest paying slots RTP-wise Playtech offers. Most of their more interesting slots like Great Blue have nice winning potential but a terrible RTP. If you want to have some decent winning potential combined with good RTP I recommend playing Halloween Fortune. The bonus-round can really pay-off.

Yeah Halloween Fortune can make you really lucky once you pick the x10 multiplier :)

My feeling is a bit that except some other providers even i trigger the feature in a few spins or none at all.... I've had onyl very very rarely made it to the bonus round when i decided to chase it... But of course can be a personal impression :)

Yes the bonus rounds are rare and far between. I had a session however where I was on a run and triggered (AND retriggered) the x10 multiplier with 20 spins. I was even a little bit disappointed it "only" paid 300 times stake. ;)

I quite like Secrets of the Amazon, though it sure can be brutal. Managed a retrigger once for a total of 28 spins with multiplier increasing +1 on each spin, but nothing really massive happened. Still, 400x bet is not bad, also had a few ones between 100x and 300x bet.

Irish Luck / Penguin Vacation / Great Blue all have truly massive potential (Marilyn Monroe slightly less, but still huge as hell) and I have a love-hate relationship with those. Still playing them and hoping for the best :)

All those Mystery Scatter games are also fun - if they pay :D Think I prefer them to Novomatic ones with this feature.

I used to play some Marvel games but lately only Fantastic Four, and only when I'm down to almost nothing - I had quite a few hits that got me back in the game on this slot.

Yeah love the mystery scatter ones, but soo hard to trigger the features on them...

Have yet to try halloween fortune will definitely give it a shot this week. I had no idea both dragon kingdom/marilyn monroe have low RTP compared to the rest. Just as well though because I have managed two good withdrawals playing dragon kingdom at 0.20p and likewise for Marilyn Monroe. With both slots I have had one good bonus round that retriggered 3 times for more than 60 spins each. I'm sure great blue has the same thing going for it except the times I have played great blue it takes an eternity (in slotting time :p) to trigger bonus that I usually end up leaving before it happens.

Ironically played some more isoftbet last night (some new game called hansel and gretel witch hunter - finally a new slot you can play at 0.10p a spin!) and finally got decent results though am well down on their slots. I guess what made me come back was trying that game in free spin at $50 a spin and hitting a x500 bonus round for $25,000 lol. If only that translated to real money ...

Thanks for the recommendation!

I'd never even heard of this slot before - so decided to give it a go:
Took over 150 spins to get first lot of free spins @ $1/spin, having done the first 100-ish at 60c - but I chose the witch with the cute smile and not the pert breasts and only got 3 spins, though at x10. Only got 1 win from those. :(
In frustration, I doubled my bets for a few spins, and to my surprise got the feature again about 21 spins later: this time the nice breasts gave me 20 free-spins @ x7! Bet x142

Yeah this is a fun slot if she likes to trigger the features frequently :) The day you will pick the 20 spins x10 will be your lucky day :) I've had it twice and walked away at least with 200-300x bet.

Good read

I'm starting to spend more time at bet365....you have all given me something new to try...
Just wondering how often the marvel progressives get triggered...of course one sees winners on the screens
often...any favorites there?

The small ones (a few hundred) all the time. I can't remember a 5-10 minute session on a marvel slot without at least one pop-up that a jackpot was won... Unfortunately i never did win one of those :)

I really enjoy a lot of the Playtech slots. Past few weeks Omni has had a few deposits from me, and I would like to thank them for the chip they offered CM members who had joined through the link. I'd changed ISPs and would have missed it otherwise.

While I did not win on the chip, I've played a few times since. Once I was foolish and blew back what could have been a nice cashout, a couple of times nothing popped at all, and a couple of more busted before meeting WR. Last weekend I made my first withdrawal for quite a good sum. ($850). No ID request, terms say 1-3 business days, was paid Wednesday I believe and back to my Visa on Thursday.

Took a bonus today, playthrough was fairly high, and bonuses are not withdrawable. But I managed quite a few bonus rounds and a couple of 100x plus hits.

BGO sent me some free spins on Ironman3 last week also. I had a long play session and could have withdrawn a modest amount but did not. They only offer pounds, I prefer to play CAD, but it's another reputable casino offering Playtech games.

You may find that with 'Jackpots' there is an exception to the rule and it was paid correctly.

I no longer play Playtech (came to my senses lol) but I do know big wins such as 5 wilds / jackpots etc are usually exempt from the multiplier.

This is normally show or explained in the pay table but with Playtech nothing would surprise me.

Not a Playtech slot but a good example is IGT's 'Cleopatra' where during the free spins feature if the 5OAK 'wilds' drop then this win is NOT subject to the feature x3 multiplier and is paid at 1x

hi,

thx for your reply. Ive read the rules myself for this game and had a legal guy view them and nothing is mentioned. At the end of the spins it even added up my total win to show 57k. As i posted earlier the 50x multiplyer is the games usp so they cant pull that trick surely! lol

Not enough knowledge to comment further, so sorry!

An educated guess (and sorry again for this... :p) would be with the combination of Coral and Playtech I would be very surprised if the outcome ended 100% in your favour.

Always willing to eat my words however, keep us posted.........

I've seen such limits frequently in games. The game is unavailable, so I can't check what the paytable said. In addition to the paytable, there is a print section of "game rules" usually.

But coupled with the big win displayed, I'd say the game paid correctly as programmed and as per the paytable. If it was not what Playtech intended for that game, it's a programming error, not a game malfunction.

Ideally, they would pay you and correct the programming error (if such exists) before relaunching the game.
