Ill try to keep this simple.

So i deposited 200e for a 100e bonus today at sportingbet. Played through and lost it, making sure my balance had zeroed out.

Redeposited 500e cash, and took my balance to 1400 when I decided to withdraw.

When I attempted I could see the wagering had carried over. Surely a mistake right? So straight over to chat.

Chat confirmed that not only did the wagering still stand, the bonus is NOT cancelled upon losing the bonus and zeroing your balance, only on expiry in three days. Even if you redeposit cash, and win with that cash, you are bound by the bonus terms and also the wagering.

Surely this cannot be correct and is against UKGC rules encumbering your cash deposit, or am I missing something?

No worries, its definately ukgc regulated. Its a shame as they have been around for a while and used to be good

I've been asked to post the following prepared statement from the casino rep. Please note that this is what they've suggested we post but I've taken the liberty of quoting it as given:
We have been contacted by GVC, the brand owners of Sportingbet, who picked up on your issue while browsing the forum. They have looked into this for you without your knowledge and noticed that you are indeed correct. The bonus should have exhausted upon your balance reaching zero but on this occasion it did not and their technical team are looking into this.

As a gesture of goodwill and if you are not yet aware, they have credited your account with €1400 as described in your post which you are free to do with as you wish and wish you all the luck in the future.

That is very nice of them
I apologize for posting this here, but isn't it time for them to get rid of this nasty term and get out of the rogue pit?

There is no need for a limit to a player winning something like the Mega Moolah jackpot, is there? MG is paying that.

BTW, Bwin forgot to update terms on all sites when they changed that same term:

Thanks Maxd, a great (and fair) outcome from them and another in a long line of examples showing the general awesomeness of this forum.

Good news for the OP and good of the rep to sort it, however they admit it was a mistake and the customer should have won the 1400, but have added as a gesture of goodwill? Do they not mean, they added the customers money? A gesture of goodwill would have been something on top, not what the customer was actually entitled to surely?

Playford7's topic regarding Nektan has been split off to a new thread: is Nektan rogue?
