Baptism by Fire - success Slotsmagic (was Jackpot Party)

Not open for further replies.
I got paid in SEK to my account so the exchange rate lost me £35. Never heard of such poor rates.

Well that bloody sucks:mad: I am sorry for you Pcjackpot. I'd be mega pissed too:( If you played in sterling you should have been paid in sterling. At least that is the case for every casino I have played with I get paid in the currency I play in.

Err I can only assume there has been a mistake, how did Slotsmagic even reach the baptism stage? Casinomeister staff must be aware of the throng of complaints on the forums.

Don't wanna be contrary to you guys, but this is a little odd.

I am shocked this crowd has reached the BBF status on Casinomeister.
With all the issues that have arisen after the take over from JPP,non working games, bad CS,lies being told to customers, not closing accounts upon request from customer.
Casinomeister is great but I think this one might be a mistake.
They should have been rogues long time ago in my opinion.

I tried to play about 10 times since they have rebranded and on NONE of the occasions the games were loading or extremely slow.
On one occasion I won €100.00,cashed it out but after 5 days still no payout and I decided to reverse the withdrawal and lost it back.
And this was after my account was fully verified and I withdrew to Skrill which is instant when processed.

So no way hosé I will ever spend a penny in this rathole again.

And I do love WMS but I play them elsewhere.

Hi everybody

My name is Krystal and I am the Rep for SlotsMagic. Thanks for the welcome ( wow) and for allowing us to hopefully become an accredited Casino in your Community sometime in the future.

So far the posts since yesterday have referred to the beginning few weeks of the launch of SlotsMagic and the migration of players from JackpotParty.

I can try to deal with each and every one of your posts but to be honest I will have to request from you SM usernames and wade through all the correspondence in an attempt to give you the appropriate answer.

We have a policy in the Forums of not answering personal issues in open Forum but by PM, so I think the best approach is to tell you what happened with the JPP deal , what went wrong initially, and what we have done to change things since then.

Then if there are any outstanding issues that some of you may have I will be happy to look into them if you PM me your username
By the way we did follow a lot of the welcomed feedback that was posted here and we did implement some changes that were suggested. We didn’t enter the debate directly because we thought that was for accredited Casinos only but we did take note of many of the positive suggestions that were made at the time.

Well here goes, I will keep it as short as possible

Scientific Gaming decided to close Jackpotparty and we were lucky enough to be selected by them to take over the database and continue to offer all the WMS games along with many other games and features that were previously not on offer to JPP players before. Yes certain features that made JPP unique would have to go, like the chat (which is coming back by the way) and many of the existing games but that was beyond our control. What we did do was offer table games, loads more slots, live casino, a download client plus many more languages and payment methods. We added 24 hour support, increased RTP of 1% on all our slots and our VIP points have no restrictions or wagering attached as did JPP.

Yes, we did change a lot, but remember the Casino was closing down. Thousands of JPP players have seen the benefits of the added games and features and like it but also mourn the loss of one of their favourite casinos which Scientific Gaming decided was no longer in line with their business model.

Ok let’s get back to the issues the players experienced.

No matter the amount of testing we did once the button was pushed to go live with SlotsMagic all of our existing stuff like live casino, our own slots and table games were fine but the WMS games started going wrong. Technical errors starting mounting despite WMS techies and ours working side by side to ensure a smooth integration. Needless to say that’s why some of you found the games slow, stopping halfway through a spin etc. and every time it was fixed within hours it started happening again.

Thankfully that was resolved and for a long time now the WMS games run as smoothly as all the rest of the content on the site and are proving to be hugely popular as we expected.

We are really disappointed with how the launch turned out. Everything was tested and working 3 weeks before the launch, staff were trained and ready and never in our wildest dreams did we think that we would get hit by technical stuff, it was a complicated migration and integration but we have been around for over 10 years and this has never happened before. We really apologise for the bad service and deserve all the criticism that was thrown at us over those weeks.

I saw some posts today that perhaps will be answered with this fact. Up until a short while back we worked directly with JJP employees to assist us in various tasks for the new Casino. From the IT side that co -working continues today but we also had the JPP VIP team join us in our offices and the affiliate guys were working with us for over 1 month after the closure of their casino. It was very much a dual effort because WMS insisted that their players were the priority in the migration and rightly so.

In fact, let me tell you what we have changed since that very shaky start, many of the things coming from your posts and feedback from other communities plus direct contact with many players themselves:

- We turned off the lobby music by default. You can still switch it on if you want!
- Bonuses are now valid on ALL WMS games
- Fifteen new slots or re-releases have been added, many of them first-run or before other casinos get them:
Zeus III, Rainbow Riches, Giants Gold , Raging Rhino, Gems Gems Gems , Fire queen and Wicked Riches. Plus others like Troy Super Spin, Professor Bubbles, Safe Hackers, Zombie Bar, Mega Nudge – plus we’re committed to releasing loads more new exciting content every month with the first of Aristocrat games this month and all games from IGT and Novomatic to follow.
- A Lower minimum bet has also been introduced
- And Penny Slots have been added

I know there are some other suggestions but perhaps we can leave them for the future. We’re happy to hear even more of course.

Affiliates have been mentioned a few times in the posts I have seen. Let’s deal with that now.

We made the decision to continue with Jackotparty’s affiliates despite the fact that we purchased the database and had no contractual duty to do so. Remember JPP was closing down and all affiliates would be paid up to closing date and then the players would have been lost. All we asked existing affiliates was to change all JPP banners, links and reviews etc to that of SlotsMagic and then we would honour the deal they had at JPP and pay for all players that we were able to migrate to SlotsMagic. Many of JPP’s affiliates agreed that this was fair and are now reaping the rewards of two income streams, new traffic for SlotsMagic and old players still generating revenues. I hope some of them who are members of this community will come forward and attest to how well it worked out for them.

Finally, a few words about our Bonus policy.

We give a lot of bonuses and we pay out a lot. Our terms and conditions may not suit all players so we urge you to read them. It’s the way we run our business and its our Bonus model, some will no doubt disagree with the conditions but most probably won’t care. So if bonuses are important to you please read the terms and then decide if you want to use SlotsMagic bonuses or not.

Thanks for getting to the end of this long post, they will not be anywhere near as long in future.

I hope it clears up or at least explains a number of the issues that have previously been posted.

I’m sure you will keep writing and I’ll jump in as soon as I can each time.

Welcome and thank you for being honest. It is greatly appreciated. Can I ask you firstly would you require old JPP players to submit new KYC documents in order to cash out? And what is your payout policy? (how quick do you pay out, do you have a pending period and do you payout on weekends)
My second question for those who had old JPP accounts and had no choice but to play in GDP can the currency be changed to euro?

Finally with regards to some players who had difficulty closing their accounts (see ecopac's post) I would like to see that addressed on the forum because responsible gambling is an important issue.
Thank You in advance for answering these questions.

Yes, I noticed and Krystal omitted to mention that SM has REMOVED the account tools that can offer take-a-break options/SE but they do still have DL's. Needs sorting.:)

One good thing - albeit temporarily SM have removed the chat which in turn means no more 'lucky ****ing dust' or 'Glinda PLEEEESE' .....

Welcome and finally some1 has awakened
,

Fair enough but was quick enough to fill jjp players email boxes up?

Also you stated about bonus, In my opinion the bonus seems fair 30x bonus but terms state different?

I can see that you are now trying but you most probably lost a bunch of good players for not sorting every thing out at the beginning, I wish you the best of luck & no doubt I will play again as long as I see every thing is running smooth, Games are ok when deposits yesterday, Help seemed to be a bit clued up on things, lets hope it goes upwards from here

Welcome to the forum and thanks very much for the information.

One of my favourite games was released recently Wicked Riches. But my, and many others favourite life of luxury progressive still hasn't come back. Please tell me that WMS are bringing this back too and it's not lost forever.

One thing I think you guys have lost is the personal touch. I was a VIP at JP and even met Josh and the team in London and also was lucky enough to go for the launch of JackpotParty.be.

The VIP system was a lot more generous at JP, every single week I would get a £500 match x 10B WR, yes it's a great offer but they knew I would be playing a lot through the week and thus felt like a genuine way of rewarding me.

Now on the new site it is very hard to win on the x 30 bonus. I guess we were spoilt and the great casino jackpot party once was has gone forever.

Warm Regards,

Rob

Question regarding the migration process.

When I joined JPP I read and accepted their T&C's. Without prior warning my account was migrated to Slotsmagic. At what stage did I agree to the T&C's of SlotsMagic?

I'm not comfortable with having my personal information sold to the highest bidder and an account being created without my consent. Your casino was keen to portray that it was business as usual behind the scenes and that this was just an update to the JPP website. This was simply not true. Your casino had different T&C's/Bonus Policy none of which I had ever agreed to.

You should have been honest from the beginning about the whole changeover process. Many customers were left wondering just wtf is going on.

More importantly, would you agree that Jackpot Party and Slotsmagic should be seen and treated as two completely different companies?

I agree, and when I bougt this up with help I had more luck getting blood from a stone, just lies, Let see what they heve to say
Happy Spins

Would be good to see more variety like JP offered.

They had all sorts of promotions like wager rewards, get 20 losing spins in a row for a bonus £50, bonus when the jackpots dropped. Bonus when you got a win over x 200 stake.

It what made the place fun along with the clear and transparent way the casino was fantastically run.

Hi Krystal,

Thanks for a very open and honest feedback.
I haven't tried playing on Slotsmagic anymore for a while but if they do run smooth now it would be fair to give it another chance.
In your reply I also see some very positive notes like the plan to take Novomatic slots aboard which would be great as I do love both WMS and Novomatic games.
Great also to see cleared out what actually did happen when JPP was taken over,I think this should have been communicated to old JPP players way back but at least it has been properly explained now.

My last question is,what is the RTP now for let's say Kronos as it runs standard at around 95.96% on most casino's.
But if you say you have upped the RTP with 1%,does that mean 1% from the original JPP settings which were very low due to the jackpot system they had in place?
Or did you up 1% on top of the 95.96%?

Because if you only upped it 1% from JPP RTP settings it still would be lower RTP compared to the WMS running on most online casino's without you guys having an incentive in place that justifies the lower RTP settings overall.

I rather play WMS on standard settings 95-96 ish % then on 92-93% offcourse. :)

So thanks again for your explanation and I sincerely hope you can make SM a place worthwile playing.
If so,I defo want to give you guys another fair shot!

Mark.

Not true, and a deception under the control of Slotsmagic. This initial deception, along with all the technical issues, has done far more damage than good, it was a stupid business move to assume players would be so easily fooled.

Clearly, there is NOTHING left of the old Jackpot Party other than the player database.

Also interesting is how closely the new management dodged a bullet. Had they cut out the affiliates, but continued to profit from the players they brought over (remembering that officially, this was simply a rebranding, not a sale), Slotsmagic would be under fire for "doing a Grand Prive", and like Grand Prive, could have suffered blacklisting and a boycott from a large number of affiliates. Doing the right thing morally, rather than what their lawyers said they could get away with, has probably been of more value than they think, they still have the affiliates on board.

It also seems odd why they couldn't have bought the casino, rather than just the database, it was closing after all, so why did Scientific Gaming have such a problem with the "easy solution", which probably WOULD have made players comfortable with the idea of a sale, so no need for any deception. They wouldn't have had to spend months fixing something that wasn't broken, and would have had a working WMS casino during the period of upheaval. Perhaps Slotsmagic could then have been opened as a sister casino, and both run in parallel until all bugs had been ironed out, after which the option would have been to merge the two and tell players that their Jackpot Party account details would now work in Slotsmagic, and that on a given future date, the migration would be complete with the old WMS only Jackpot Party being closed in favour of the multi provider Slotsmagic.

Being less of a shock for legacy Jackpot Party players, fewer would have jumped ship during the early stages.

Clearly, there is NOTHING left of the old Jackpot Party other than the player database
Had they cut out the affiliates, but continued to profit from the players they brought over (remembering that officially, this was simply a rebranding, not a sale),It does bogle my brain why the hell they are in bbf, You guys no more than me without a dout but does not take a geniuses to work out that this is not right? and to get into bbf so quik

Can I ask you firstly would you require old JPP players to submit new KYC documents in order to cash out? - in most cases no ,because the players had existing accounts and documents which were transferred to us . But we can’t say never because we have other regulatory obligations that may require extra or new identification at some stage.

And what is your payout policy? (how quick do you pay out, do you have a pending period and do you payout on weekends) - normally it is around 48 working hours ,yes the first 24 hrs is the pending period, no we don't payout on weekends.

My second question for those who had old JPP accounts and had no choice but to play in GDP can the currency be changed to euro?-yes you can change currencies in our client in the 'Personal Area' section.

Finally with regards to some players who had difficulty closing their accounts (see ecopac's post) I would like to see that addressed on the forum because responsible gambling is an important issue. - its a very important issue and we take it very seriously but for now we are dealing with this by PM

Yes we are sorting this and we should have something in place within the next few weeks. In the meantime contact support who can restrict your account for you or as you mentioned deposit limits can be set by you in the personal area

Well, they didn't screw affiliates, even though they could have gotten away with it. Had they screwed affiliates, which would have happened right from the start, they would likely have joined Grand Prive in the rogue pit as well as being a strong contender for the "Fall from grace" award.

To make BBF, they must have managed to convince Bryan that they have addressed the various issues that blighted the launch, as well as shown that they had a decent team at the top intent on looking after the players. This does not guarantee success, they are now facing 60 days of more scrutiny than they have had so far, so if they have not sorted out all the issues, this could well end up being a BBQ.

The most puzzling aspect for me is how quickly the initial deception seems to have been forgiven, not to mention the sale of the database to a third party that was not only without permission from the players, but cloaked by the initial deception that it was merely a rebranding, not a sale to a third party. This does not cast the old Jackpot Party owners in a good light either, as they were accredited, and should have gone about this transfer of ownership in an open and transparent manner, including a mechanism for players to opt out of having their accounts sold on.

This deception for me is the most important thing they need to address. Technical problems can always be brushed aside with an apology and a free chip.

What happened has been explained, but we don't know WHY it was thought a deception was needed to ensure the transfer went smoothly. I can only presume they didn't anticipate the technical problems, which is what made the official statement that this was merely a rebranding so obviously bogus.

I thought it was 60 days, and 30 days for the fast track BBF.

I thought the 6 months was for probation, where a casino wants out of the pit.

It is usually the other way around (I think). A standard probation period (out of the pit) is 30 or 60 days. Virtual/Ace Revenue had to have an extended one.

A full BBF is 6 months and those who have been here before or have sister casinos usually have shorter ones (30/60 days)

Trying to login to new software, it asks me to fill in some more info but get the error "For security reasons this page is now disabled please close it and click my account again"

Can't be bothered with this.
