Hi,

First time poster here, been lurking a while but need some tips or advice.

I have been gambling for a while now, but almost never seem to withdraw :ma: i wonder how people here play. I ussualy deposit €20 to €40 in one session and ussualy switch a lot between immortal romance, terminator 2, jurassic parc, thunderstruck 2, finer reels. Sometimes i go up a little, but i always bust out..

I ussualy stick to one game for €5 or €10 and then switch (always low bet 0.30 or 0.60).

Should i stay on one game longer or is switching a good thing? Or is it all about luck ( which makes me very unlucky)

Cheers:cool:

Those slots you stick too can be very piggish money suckers. Try other slots too.

I was sort of the same when I first started out. Id see people posting some screenshots of their wins on those games so Id think hey I can hit too. Nope. Once I changed games and got away from em...I started to win.

As Lockinlove said really. I too started out with £20- 30 deposits years ago and got suckered in by the accessibilty of the 243- way slots and was left staring at the screen blankly as IR or TS2 obliterated my balance time and time again.

You do need a decent start with these types of bankrolls but I would opt for the 20- line variety of slots or some of the older 9- line games like Thunderstruck/ Ladies Nite/ Adventure Palace. Or just Georgie Porgie (sorry) which is 15 lines but can pay outstandingly, even if a little high variance.

Luck does play a large part in it though so unfortunately there is no definitive way of slotting, but I would stick to a slot instead of constantly switching as there is too little margin for error with such a small bankroll. And pound for pound I'd still say Netent's older games provide far more value for money and are great for low rollers, such as eg Trolls and its variables, maybe even - gulp - DOA at 9p a spin:eek:

Thanks for the response. Any advice on which games i could try? :)

I do not want to direct you to machines that also leave you dry but have a mix around and have a change

Them machines you mentioned can be brutal, I keep falling for the tricks and I no other players on here also do, Keep going back time and time again, Try and get them machines out your head for a session or two and try something new,

When I deposit I play A LOT of different games. I usually give each slot 20 spins to see if its hot or cold. If its cold...I move on and try another. If its hot...or at least im hitting a bunch of small wins..Ill play it for a bit. However right now Im hooked on DOA haha

I find if you chase a feature on a cold slot...thats a good way to lose your roll. Ill put it on autospin for 20-25 spins...let it play out and at the end of the spins Ill decide whether to stay or not.

I used to chase features and after I went over 1000 spins on avalon II and a few others and no feature...I stopped doing this.

While you can hit big on some of those games...I find them rare. If I want a serious chance at a win..Ill give games like you suggest only maybe 20 spins...and move on. I wont chase the features. Jurassic Park..IR..Thunderstruck II.....always kill my balance.

IR is the absolute worst I find. Because I play the $500 IR freerolls on MG casinos and they give you 20 rounds...each round 3 minutes long and $3 bet size and I have never won more then 50x my bet. And I usually play this weekly because I do enjoy the slot ....but not with my money lol. So you figure that Ive probably had 100,000 spins on it..probably more ...and never hit. Now think of that if it was my money at $3 a spin. Id be down thousands upon thousands. It can be a dirty game! I havent played it with real money in over a year. Couldnt be happier.

Id suggest just bouncing around and seeing what games you like. Give other slots that arent 243 ways a chance too.

Even games like Munchkins can give you some good play time and some ok wins.

I wish I could promise you wins...sadly the house has a huge edge when it comes to slots. Deposit to have some fun and hope for the best..because if you expect that big hit..most times you will come away disappointed.

Luck plays its roll too. So good luck!

Thanks Luckinlove for the great advice.

I will give it a try the next time i deposit. I do indeed chase the free spins in the 243 games..

The only question arises; how do i know if a slot is hot or cold. In those 20-25 spins how can you tell if its hot or cold? :D

I personally think a slot is cold if I spin it 25 times and I only hit something equal or below my bet size a couple of times.

If its hot or acting good...after those 25 spins you will be above your starting balance and maybe triggered a feature.

I still have my guilty pleasures though. The filthy game called the argyle open. Such a dirty slot...money sucking son of a...............but I love it for some reason lol. But rarely play it cause its so hard to win. I went 700 spins and an rtp of 47% before I hit the final feature. In the feature I hit the highest multiplier for the free spins 10x....I was excited. Here comes a big win.

I won nothing.

One thing I do is when I hit a feature...I will switch games not far afterwards....especially if the feature pays good. I find the slot tries to take the money back lol. After the feature Ill give it 20 more spins to see if its hot. If it turns cold on me...I leave.

But this is just how I decide to play. I usually get more play time and even sometimes a cashout.

And please dont think my advice will make you win. Its just how I play and seem to do ok sometimes.

Thanks again!

Will avoid the 243 games for a while for a change and try some other games. Hopefully with a cash out :)

I would consider setting yourself a cash-out target and stick to it rigidly. For example, if you start with £20, set a target of £50. When you go through that barrier, take the £50 and just play with the residue. What helps here is having a "backup" hobby ready, like a good book or a film because stopping is hardest when you get an early win!

I think most slots players bust out because they don't know when to stop. It's not something we generally do as we often want to play for 1 hour or a set amount of time.

Another good way of forcing yourself is to find a casino that allows Wagering Limits. Take Link Outdated / Removed as an example; you can set a wagering limit of 50x your deposit and whenever you get there, you can't play any more so you are forced to cash out. It also acts as a safety net for those sessions where you get carried away chasing losses. A few casinos have this option. One or two allow time limits too but be careful as some can log you out as well, meaning you can't withdraw!

I tend to arbitrarily limit the number of games which I'll play if my bankroll is small - for example, with RTG casinos, I limit my play to the pre-25 line games, i.e., just about all the games released through Warlock. The operative theory is that 1) it shouldn't make any difference, since it's all luck - but if there IS a bias; then 2) the cycle through which my playing is accounted for will be smaller if I stick to a limited number of games.

Let me know if that makes no sense. :D
