Rizk Casino Misleading Advertisement...

The UKGC licencing rules also cover the situations where a UK licenced casino also offers it's services to other countries where the rules over the legality of this are not clear "grey markets", and where the other country has outlawed it and the service is being offered from offshore such that the rules cannot easily be enforced "black market".

In general, casinos that serve the US market where it's been illegal for several years will find it very hard to get a UK licence unless it pulls out of the US, which is classed as a "black market". The situation in Norway is rather different, it's considered a "grey market" because although Norway has made the service provision illegal, there is disagreement as to whether this is something they are allowed to do under the free market rules throughout Europe.

One reason the UKGC implemented this was to protect UK players from an operator being dragged under by it's activities in the US, and thus find itself unable to pay UK players back their money.

Whether or not UK broadcasting laws apply to broadcasts made from the UK, but not intended for consumption within the UK, also seems to be an issue up for debate, as after all, just because it isn't intended for UK consumption doesn't mean UK viewers can't receive it if they want to.

Thanks for making me aware of this, this obviously comes from an affiliate site and we will speak to them to make sure that it is clearer

EDIT: Please note that this is not our affiliate - there are no actual links to the Rizk site (or any other site that they list for that matter) We will be contacting them to remove any mention or listing of Rizk however this is not always a quick or easy task.

Because of the marketing ban in Norway, you are broadcasting from the UK. Why is there not the same airtime "rules" on advertisement towards Norway as there is in UK?

Can you answer this?

I agree with dyonisus that this has become a back and forth about the vague wording of an otherwise average advertisement, which anyone who was interested could clarify for his or herself by reading the T&C on the site. And no commercial ever tells the whole truth, not even the commercials for anti-depressants that list 100 muttered side-effects of the drug. *drymouthdiarrheadizzinessweightgaininsomnialiverfailureandsometimesdeath*

No I cannot answer this as Rizk have no control over how these rules are set or are broadcasters ourselves.

What I can tell you is that the adverts were approved for broadcast by both Discovery and Modern Times Group compliance departments with full disclosure from our side.

I am sorry if you feel that the adverts were misleading, this was certainly not our intent and we have taken great care to ensure that, as far as possible, players know and understand the differences between the Bonus Terms and the Reward Terms - unhappy or confused customers is not a good business model and one that we strive to avoid.

To that end we have taken your comments on board and will bear them in mind for the future
