RG messages

I have posted before about trigger levels, massive range from 2k at All British to around 35k at Mecca.
Think there is more to it than a simple deposit total and other factors are taken into account.
One way to delay SOW is dont withdraw, reckon that is a major trigger factor, all my SOW demands except
Mecca have been triggered by withdrawals

Well SOW is nothing new. As others have said on here, the big UK bookies have been dishing them out for years to the big betters and highrollers...essentially high risk clientele. Done on a personal, case by case basis. Which is why these establishments are not going mental now.

The Maltese joints, on the other hand, are running around like headless chickens dishing out SOWs for £50 withdrawals.
I was a high roller round about 2013/15 upwards of 8k gambling transactions sometimes on a daily basis. Will hill, ladbrokes, betway...
Not once a RG email or call on top of whatever vip offers i was sent, and always within 3 days my cash was paid.

the maltese lot obviously using sports betting id not go near with a barge pole for obvious reasons.

it was never mandatory for the U.K. lot to sow or kyc you. Ain’t happened to me in decades and that’s with spending a lot over the years.

Money is not always hard-earned, where'd that sentiment come from

Clearly balance is 'key'

Ought players be allowed to recklessly splurge said funds willy-nilly without some form of overview? I don't think that's particularly responsible, nor would it benefit the casino doing that, long-term.

But actually what we're seeing is an 'over-nannying' by casinos to the point of nausea, we know and they know they couldn't care less about our welfare but are simply trying to keep on the UKGC's good side.

Made all the worse by said smug celebrities lecturing us on the perils of gambling and to keep things FUN FUN FUN!

So that means......they didn't care about Deposit Limits and my welfare before all these regulations came about, say 5/6 years ago?? Fucking hell
See, that's where I differ from a lot of people. If you've gone to work and earned that money, quite simply it's yours to spend how you see fit. Some people will splurge hundreds on a weekend bender, others will splurge on some other inane tat. Some people will go on a reckless gambling spree. But, at the end of the day, everyone has accountability for their own actions.

RG tools are there, provided by the casino. GAMSTOP is a thing. If someone has had enough then these are all options in which they can attempt to help themselves with.

Nannying is not the way to go.

I did state 'some' and 'balance', which I think in this unique industry should be standard.

But I agree of course that full-on nannying and complete removal of gamblers' autonomy will be the end of the industry. We're about halfway there

That’s one casino, as said if you wanted to you could move between brands or casinos to avoid sow if you think it will be a problem.

personally if it ever got a issue for me I’d close my account and take whatever I won with me if I couldn’t satisfy requests, pretty sure in the U.K. they can’t just steal your money unless they accuse you and take it further accusing you of money laundering.

no way would i wait weeks or jump hoops for example as people have, spinning a slot really ain’t that important to me.

You soon get tired of going through the same shit at every new place you sign up to ,usually ends up with
a withdrawal being held to ransom no matter how careful you are.Took me a long time to find somewhere
I was happy with and seemed happy with me,just means I have to gamble at a lower level now.
Dont mind as I am well up over the last 3 months, will take a long time to squander that.

One things for sure, it aint going to get any better, always said the UKGC would destroy the industry, just
suprized how fast they are doing it, more regulations are likely to come out soon and a lot of casinos
will just say stuff it and pull out the uk market.

I was thinking that perhaps this is the goal. Get a lot of the Malta based casinos to pull out of their own accord.

I do wonder whether behind all this, the UK government simply doesn't want vast chunks of money being squandered in the UK and being shipped offshore.

I think if anything the aim could well be to eliminate all uk online gambling except for a state owned
casino, amazing how little flack the national lottery gets, still allows 16 year olds to gamble, how hypocritical
can you get.

This is why I’m getting totally fed up with Smaller casinos and recently have only played with PP and bet365. Calzone sending me emails to tell me they are concerned and have put a loss limit of 300 on account I’m actually up at that casino even though I have 27 losing deposits there I’m still actually up the email was worded in a way to say if I want to up the loss limit I’ve got to send them proof of income, I’ve just stopped playing there all together. L&L sowed me and I didn’t comply I’m sorry but I find £2k-3k deposits or withdrawls as small fry and not enough to send my dna to them. It’s just all becoming tedious PP and bet365 have never sowed me in donkeys years PP three different cards registered on site one with 17k in deposits and not once been sowed.

I get loads of surveys from them and RG nonsense, not made a deposit in months.
Yet they advertise the free scratch card and other free to play game they offer daily....
It’s nauseating in all honesty, like a celebrity trying to lecture you on how to live knowing they are the dirtiest lowest form or species on the planet.
Yep, John Travolta warning us all about the need for us all to do our bit for the environment, while having his own personal jumbo jet and airfield :)

It's ironic really

The larger casinos will shout this message the loudest, not to mention inform us during every ad-break.

Yet as you say, they won't harass players about their 'Responsible Gambling' at every turn, won't SoW players into oblivion for no reason, and won't mar players' overall enjoyment TO JUST HAVE A LIGHT GAMBLE

By large casinos I of course mean the proper, no-nonsense UK Bookies and the like, not the great pretenders masquerading as casinos, and alienating its UK userbase, because of their 'interpretation' of UK regs

Also many of these lesser 'poser' casinos are shit-scared of even being fined 1/10th of what others have been.

Clearly the RG/ SoW hysteria is simply down to their inability to absorb any sort of regulatory punishment!

You are spot on. Also pretty soon the way it’s going there will only be the big boys bet365 PP coral etc. Most definitely they are terrified of fines but should use common sense and caution this sow hysteria has to stop its pushing away your average punter who just then goes to the bigger uk sites were they can spin on bonanza till there hearts content haha, to be fair jan from l&l was lovely as always but it’s out of his hands I wasn’t willing to sow over £2-3k which is low rolling and defo not money laundering I defo do not spend what I can’t afford not having casinos look at my statements And quizzing inheritance etc and the crazy thing is I was originally sowed on yeti we’re my desposits were buttons but Cos yeti sowed me then it was across all sites which I found strange to be sowed for yeti with tiny deposits the thing is I did use boku a few times as it was easier to top up my phone than to have loads of gambling transactions on my main account which I pay our mortgage from hence why I’ve now got a couple of accounts used for deposits and withdrawls. Tell you what sorry to rant but calzone have done my head in more how they worded there email like they are my best mate and looking out for me bollocks

UKGC advised operators to interact more with players and pay extra attention to spendings etc.... due to COVID19, ie. pay attention to over one hour gameplays and other fun stuff so amount of RG messages should be much more than before that communication, good to hear that casinos once follow what they are told to :)
