Responsible Gambling Charity supports max bet limit on slots

BetBlocker looks pretty comprehensive from what I've gathered, especially when going all-in with the 'indefinite' option

A good tool if wanting to deal in absolutes, although I'm not decided on the permanence of being unable to remove the software, other than formatting the entire machine! (Which I'm sure some may even resort to, or at the very least, use any multitude of other devices)....

I can see how this application would be an option to deploy almost as a last resort, though I suspect with online & land- based gambling not exactly correlative, that when 'cut off' that severely from any mention of online gambling that users may resort to playing 'offline' as it were - surely the more dangerous of the two....

It's a tough one, I could understand them offering a delayed (say 7, 14 or 30 day) uninstall procedure, but anything quicker is likely to make the tool worthless. As with anything, it will be removable with enough willpower and knowledge, but it's clearly not in anyone's interest to disclose how to do that.

As you say, it's about preventing those immediate urges to gamble and supporting a modest amount of willpower to stop. If people are dedicated enough to splurge cash on new devices or travel to land-based venues (which given the proliferation of new AGCs, isn't ideal) then they probably need to seek more specialised help at the first opportunity.

Here is my opinion on BetBlocker usage. It would be particularly useful for those players who are searching for information on how to block crypto casinos or how to stop playing on casinos that are not on Gamstop.

There should be a lot of people out there who are on Gamstop but still look for places to gamble anyway and then end up in casinos that scam players. Crypto casinos are also dangerous for a wallet. One can ask them to get excluded but still, after two minutes, they can register on the same site with a different email address.

So BetBlocker in both cases would help them from accessing those casino websites entirely, and the best part is their 'Calendar' feature that allows picking only certain days for the exclusion.

Another thing i like is that no personal user data is collected.

There is a downside, but i won't discuss it. See the time stamps in the last 2 images and you'll get what i mean.

Amazing then, that BetBlocker's been largely on the periphery whilst GamStop's been touted as the official Problem Gambling aid.

Surely you'd think the UKGC & co would promote BB as the best of the bunch.....but then we already know that they couldn't care less about tackling actual problem gambling, don't we?
