Response from Neteller

after getting an email from neteller informing me that i had a minus three dollar balance and that i needed to send in payment, i sent them a curt message that they had alot more of my money than i had of theirs. this morning they adjusted my balance to zero....some progress.

I closed my account with them last week , i was lucky enough to get all my cash out . Only thing that was there was $5 , going to send them an email telling them to send me a checl Asap or i will persue legal action. Lol

That must be the reason I didnt get my pay yet into neteller. So I am going to cancel the pending withdraw. I am going to go with mycitadel. Is their any problems with mycitadel. Also Can I make a transfer from mycitadel to my bank account.

Read up on the threads. Citadel pulled out of the US market also...

players, in a nutshell....NO ! You will not ever see your money if you withdraw using Neteller. Use any other means the casino/sportbooks/etc. offers BESIDES Neteller. Good luck !

I really don't mean to create a stir, but do you have facts to warrant your alarm?

Netteller told me that it would be a couple of weeks or more (not positive about the time frame...might have been up to three working weeks on the outside) to recieve my funds. Given their track record I really didn't worry too much about it.

I've personally got more than several hundred dollars in the balance, so that's my reason for questioning your advice.

BTW, I have sent an email to VIP support with the same query. I'll gladly post their response if any of you are interested. No axe to grind, nothing to gain here...Just interested in getting what's mine.

Thanks for your help,

Kevin

Ok so neteller is not good anymore for US players and I found out mycitadel is also not good. I am sure that firepay and moneybookers wont be good also. So that leaves me with a check only which they will take away $10 to send it to me. Is their a list of whats allowed and whats not. I dont want to pay that $10.

That's about it players unless you can talk them into sending you a Western Union wire.

Neteller

KM, I was told by support that at this time they have absolutely no way to pay people from the U.S. then of course the "how safe my money" is part.
But in all honesty my post was meant to try to stop Mr. players from attempting to initiate a Neteller withdrawal and joining us when he could use another means. (like a check) I definately wasn't trying to spook the folks (myself included) who have been waiting weeks for their withdrawals. Best of luck.

Thanks for your reply, Spike.

I have just gotten off of the telephone with Netteller VIP support. The guy with whom I spoke indicated that all EFT's are on hold at this time. (reflective of your conversation) He also told me that Netteller will find a way to return everyone's funds. He told me that they are working with various payment processors in an effort to get this done.

Personally, I believe that we will all get our money back, it is just a matter of how long it will take. The guy that I spoke with seemed to think that requesting a check withdrawal would likely take longer than an eft...Meaning that there is a potential solution on the horizon at least.

My personal belief is that panic is not necessary at this time.

So there you go, my stab at research and solutions.

You know though that if your own bank did this to any of us that we wouldn't stand for it . There is no reason that someone isn't there writing checks 24 hours a day until they pay everyone back their own money . What about the people WAITING on their affiliate payments or winnings to pay their bills ? I mean come on . I am far from an alarmist but how hard is it to write a check and out stick a stamp on it ? They should have had some sort of solution ready at hand besides shutting everyone off and then holding their money .

I forgot to mention that the gentleman with whom I spoke indicated that the problem lies with their payment processor. Apparently this is a third party that I didn't know about.

I don't have a clue about what I'm talking about, but I'll take a stab at what I think is going on.

I believe that Netteller wants to pay all of us and be done with this.

I think that they are having problems doing this that we don't really know the intricacies of....And were I in their shoes, I wouldn't make public either. It's a lot easier to not have any responsibility and tell someone what they should do than to carry the responsibility and accountability related to this big of a deal.

I think that they are having a hard time figuring out how to send our money to us without running into legal trouble of whatever sort.

In any case, I agree on principal that they should just start writing checks. I also think that if it were that easy, they would.

Unless they don't have the money available . They must be losing alot of money by not processing for states anymore .

Maybe this is where the new Youteller service comes in to play. At least for distributing the locked income from the smaller accounts?
