What can U.S. players do now?
Since our last email communication where we advised any funds in your QuickTender account could still be used to purchase at QuickTender accepting sites we had been working hard to reinstate our withdrawal facility and ensuring your funds where safe and secure.
However, further developments specifically relating to our main bank processing company have resulted in our accounts being frozen subject to a seizure order giving us no ability to make payments in any currency.
In light of these developments we have had no option but to discontinue the Quicktender service with immediate effect and for the foreseeable future.
At this time we are unable to confirm when or if we could make payments of remaining balances.
We will keep you advised of future relevant developments.
george bush is at the bottom of this nay he rot in a pit
US players can now go their local B&M casino and deposit with zero fees, receive free room and board, free food, free drinks and this is the REAL kicker if the US player HAPPENS to beat the odds and ACTUALLY win money at the casino they can receive their CASH in hand. No weekly max cashouts, no submitting documents(unless you win big enough), no waiting 5-10 business days to get the money.
Internet Gambing for US citizens was dead before QT's funds were seized. Even if you were playing we were getting killed by all of the deposit and withdrawal fees. Everyone along the way was cutting up the pie. I say good riddance and I will get my entertainment another way. QT was taking advantage of the players and the casinos, I hope they saved all of that money for lawyers because they are going to need it.

This is all true, but some of us have to drive 2.5 hours to a casino. It was so easy, just to play whenever you wanted.
How about if you only want to play for an hour, you have to get up, get dressed, drive to casino, stay there then drive home, its a day long affair to only play for an hour.
I would rather play from home and wait a day or 2 for payments, not go to a casino and get stuck there.
Oh, so Clinton or Obama has NOTHING to do with this.
Maybe it's Carter, or Reagan...or even FDR?
Sheesh, enough of pushing it back on a President, already.
Oh, WAIT!!! It was Nixon!!!!

On October 13, 2006, President George W. Bush signed into law the UIGEA.7 Senator Bill Frist (R-Tenn) attached the legislation to an unrelated port-security bill
just moments before it was voted on.8 The UIGEA’s unexpected enactment created industry hysteria.9 Stock prices of publicly-traded e-casinos10 plummeted, wiping out over approximately seven billion dollars of market value.11 Some of the most prominent e-casinos pulled out of the U.S. market entirely.12 Since then, the mass media has churned out wide-ranging commentary on the Act; from complete dismissals of its viability to comparisons with Prohibition.
And the current administration is enforcing it. If your friend Obama and pals wanted to, they could work on a bill to legalize it.
I hope you rot in a pit for putting the blame on a single person. You knew banking transactions were illegal for online casinos/poker, yet you still played.
Typical Americans, always putting the blame on someone else.
It's not really that hard to move to another country. Go to Canada and stop bitching about past presidents.

I hope everyone gets paid and hasn't lost too much money. For us in the U.S., I think betonsoft stock has just went up.. You can still buy in and play there..

I believe that since there is no line item veto, Bush could not have vetoed it (even if he wanted to) without killing the port security bill. Wonder who attached the bill at the last minute?
The government is going to have to learn that they can't stop people from doing what they want.I knew my statement wouldn't be popular on an advocate site for internet gambling and there is no doubt this will hurt your affiliate $'s. I have to drive 6+ hours to get to a legitimate casino and we all know the price of gasoline but QT was not the answer for US players. There has to be competition on a level playing field. QT for all intents and purposes was a monopoly. They could charge the 5% and then tack on anywhere from 3%-10% in coversion rate charges.
Americans will gamble and they will gamble online. It is going to take something major for it to happen and maybe this is the start of it.
No I say we toss out the ass holes that keep making these really bad laws...
When things get bad, like they are now, people do pay attention and don't forget. My American friends do vote out the assholes. The only problem is that they have short attention spans. When the new government doesn't wave a magic wand and solve all of the country's problems in a heartbeat, they bring the same assholes back into power at the next election.

It is not illegal. It is only "illegal" by a creative interpretation of the laws that, nonetheless, the federal government is acting as if it were true. In particular, the UIGEA only applied to gambling that was already illegal. There is no federal law that makes online gambling itself illegal. Some have claimed that the Federal Wire Act makes it illegal, but they are full of horsecrap: it only applies to "[anyone] engaged in the business of betting or wagering knowingly us[ing] a wire communication facility for the transmission in interstate or foreign commerce of bets or wagers or information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers on any sporting event or contest". Translation: professionally making sports bets across state lines (e.g. as a bookie). Not online casinos or poker. I am not a lawyer, but there are people who are who agree with this interpretation. You knew banking transactions were illegal for online casinos/poker, yet you still played.
