Yeah and why would any minority want to work in this White House? Don't think there are many applicants for those jobs. They don't get people even for real jobs there so any kind of yes-man gets a position he wants. I think it would be more efficient if Mr. T. would move the west wing to FoxNews's studio. They could do the hirings for him.
Or maybe Mr. T.'s chauffeur could be the secretary of transportation...I mean he must know cars, roads and stuff. And Mr. T.'s cook could handle all the food stuff in US. I mean clearly that cook must be qualified since Trump is alive and well-fed.

Ladyhawke, I woulld normally agree with you but there are some reasons why I came to that conclusion:

- From Mr. T's TV shows I know that optics and appearance are very important to him and he is well aware of the impact of such.
- Would it have been 1 African-American placed right at the edge, I would have said: "could be coincidence", but not with both. Being the only two African-Americans in the entire picture and both being placed next to each other right at the edge is something a professional photographer would never do. Ask one in your neighborhood or in a studio.

Hope I was able to explain my decision to write that sentence.

I can understand why you think that I have a personal prejudice re Mr. T but that is not the case. I just do not have any respect for Mr.T for the exact same reason as in his intern photo. Would it have been only the denied handshake with my chancellor (A. Merkel) in the WH, I would have said as well coincidence, new to the job etc. but I know of at least 3 other cases where he totally disrespected her in public, hence it is not coincidence, it is rather planned and on purpose.

- it was not the US who orchestrated the return of the Shah to Iran which led to the rise of Khomeini and to today's situation

Because those are the main arguments I have posted about in this thread. And why should I compare the interns of two Republican presidents since Mr.T keeps claiming that he is so much better than Obama.

- In Germany, immigrants are allowed to keep their native citizenship while having at the same time a German passport. However, they can vote only in one country and a large part, especially the Turkish population, do it in their home country. Hence, minorities with immigrant background are less likely to go into German politics and make up only around 6% of the "Bundestag" with the total percentage of immigrants in Germany standing at appr. 11%, which is no too bad considering the above.

You are right ladyhawke, we have to give him the benefit of the doubt since we were not present at the photo shoot. Hence, there is the possibility that it was coincidental.

One more observation though, look at the photo of Obama's interns. The photographer went to great extend to have the positioning well balanced and correctly reflect today's society in the US. Now, I would think that Mr. T hasn't been using a less professional photographer and hence, would take the same amount of care on where and how to position the interns.

The difference in the pictures was pointed out this morning on a German news channel, would you believe it. Took me totally by surprise but it shows how critical any of Mr. T's doing is watched around the world.

A huge barrage. IMO, he went completely off the cliff over the Easter weekend, not just lying about immigrants, democrats, DACA, Amazon, Post Service etc. while exactly mirroring Fox News segments, but shaving off a few hundred billion dollars of the share market. Globally, probably closer to $1 Trillion.

But he found time to congratulate el-Sisi for his rigged election win.

The report which I found to be the worst in the last days was while the UK was dealing with the Russian nerve gas attack and close to expelling diplomats, Mr. T congratulated Putin to his totally rigged election win and invited him to the White House, but not even mentioning the UK incident. Talk of stabbing a staunch ally in the back!
