I usually advise these days NEVER to close ANY accounts, mainly due to the EM SE and other associated problems that we have all see and read about and more so for UK players since the arrival of the UKGC.

However on very rare occasions I bend my own rules. I have closed 2 accounts lifetime IIRC.

1) Betway due to it been my unluckiest casino ever and too many tin foil moments.

2) Bet UK due to the most awful laggy spins and disconnection errors, which even when winning were unbearable.

Now I have not heard anything off these guys since I requested the account closure and nor does it bother me in the slightest but just surprised me that in my 'online gaming career' I have never come across this sort of thing before.

It also raised a question, is it a general 'lets drum up some of our old custom' type mail shot or would the reason for account closure have been checked first (to make sure it was not due to SE)

I think not and they've just done a mass e-mail to all inactive/closed accounts, something that would be frowned upon maybe had the reason for closure been gaming problem related or SE etc??

I closed my BetUK account ages ago and haven't received an e-mail. Mind you, they probably still know that I am seriously disgruntled by them after how my account was handled by them. Still disgusted by what happened and no way would I go back to them after the way they treated me!

Seriously tho even tho no info, it doesn't surprise me in the least. Back in my 'early days' I played at several of their Bingo Sites and discovered a little 'loop hole' which was very profitable for me and more so without even denting, never mind breaking their T&C's

They made up a right cock and bull story and a rather abrupt email exchange and ultimately closed all of these accounts. (Balances paid out in full tho to be fair to them)

I did check that I was 'welcome' at Bet UK first after my pre registration investigations told me that they were the same company and that potential wins were 'safe' due to the bingo situation and was in all fairness treated ok.

Can't help it I can be very judgmental but the term 'Money Grabbers' springs to mind with these guys and nothing more!

In summary, deposited £20 and took a bonus (£10 I think). Played a fair bit and balance crashed down to something like 7p. No games available to place a 7p wager, so deposited a further £50 or so (no bonus) and won a bit. Tried a withdrawal of around £100, but it said I had a bonus balance still in place so can't proceed. Not a problem I thought and clicked to cancel bonus (thinking 7p would be knocked off the balance). However, it then voided my whole balance of £100+, including the recent £50 deposit and subsequent winnings. I was not impressed!! Contacted Customer (lack of) Services and they simply shrugged it off that there was nothing they could do and I hadn't fulfilled the WR. Why the hell do they think I would deposit a further £50 and void £100+ balance in order to save a 7p bonus balance?!?!?!

Was not amused, so closed account there and then. Ok, many might argue my fault for not clearing the 7p balance first, but they didn't even give me a chance to fulfill any WR which would have easily been accomplished given balance, etc. At no point did it say it would forfeit ALL my balance.

Yes, I agree with your comment - Money Grabbers!!!
