Hi,

Received an email about PlayGrand Casino (Claim they're a new casino) on the 6'th of Sept 2013, offering me a $20 no deposit and a 200% welcome bonus. After I sign-up, message tells me I'll receive an activation link to verify my email address. So I wait, and wait but no email. Support is not 24/7, so finally today I get in contact with them.

Well I'm told, sorry the free $20 has expired but we can now give you 250% welcome bonus instead of 200%.

Live chat:

Hi Sean, how are you?

joined over 24 hours ago and no it's not in my spam folder :)

Sean just a moment please

hi and welcome, your account has been activated

so I can login in now and the $20 no deposit, is that also in my account now?

Sean oh sorry about the promo
Unfortunately, this offer has expired. The good news is that it's not too late receive your exclusive Welcome Offer. For a limited time you will receive 250% instead of the regular 200% match up to a maximum bonus of £250.

For example, if you deposit £50 you will receive a casino bonus of £125 - that's £175 to play with.

~ End Live Chat ~

I think the email notification is a load of bollocks and so too is the free $20. Both are designed purely to get players to sign-up and then hit them with a bait and switch.

I also thought maybe it's an affiliate sending out this mailer but I checked and there is no link on site to an affiliate program. My guess, it's PlayGrand Casino sending out these mailers. Where they got my email from, who knows.

Check out our full writeup here.

Operated by a company in Cyprus, licensed in Curacao, software brand not stated.

Three signs of the "spot the rogue" variety.

The bait & switch of this nature seems common with a number of casinos. It always seems to be a free chip that has expired within hours of registering the account, and then the casino CS tries to get the player to deposit for a bonus.

This is a good time to back out with a "no thanks", and tell them you no longer trust them because they reneged on the offer within hours of it arriving, and the activation email didn't work.

It also seems that they don't support the major payment options used by many players, no Skrill, no Neteller. This is something that means I can't take an operator seriously.

The site looks like another of those browser based casinos, as among the many games I had never heard of, I spotted a couple that I had, such as Amsterdam Masterplan.

The affiliate program claims to have a zero tolerance for spam, but whoever sent this offer out does not seem to fear anything being done about it, even with a decent looking spam reporting tool available on the affiliate site (which is where it is well hidden from those most likely to want to report spam, the players).

This is how I see it.

If a random person came up to me and offered a 250% bonus if I gave them £50 to play in an Arcade / Casino just across the road / street / sidewalk with special money tokens that could be redeemed would I be up for it?

Would you?

If you are like me then this is how I treat unsolicited email.

I have received the no deposit bonus....But I sign up few days ago...And they said that they are working on Skrill and Netteller...There is a White Hat gaming platform icon on the site...
