Sorry about the title...didn't know how to word it...LOL.

Is there anything you do silly with your pets that no one knows, or everyone knows but you think is silly?

I have a male greyhound and a female greyhound. The male was here a year before the female.

Anyway...I sing a song to him titled "Who's the best boy in the world" and I only sing it to him when my hubby and daughter aren't here. It seems like he likes it.

The female greyhound likes to lick INSIDE our mouths. :eek2: Ya, so, what's wrong with that? :smilewink:

Also...sorta along the same lines, do you think your pets "talk" to each other?

Our female won't go upstairs, we tried treats, people food, etc..nope she will have no part of it. I was telling hubby maybe the male told her stay away from upstairs, this is my turf.

Also we used to have 2 cats, one was female one was male, the female was here about 8 years before the male came. A few months after the male came the female stopped using the liter box down cellar...again, I told my hubby maybe the male said stay away from my liter box.

I sing with Jake, certain songs I can just make him howl, it's hilarious. Doesn't say much for my singing ability though. :p

Once I had a cat that would start doing that weird yowling (like cats do when they're in heat) and she'd climb up me and try to stick her head in my mouth whenever I read out loud from a Spanish newspaper.

Something about my voice makes them crazy I guess.

EDIT: Oh yeah and I had a cat I used to play Superman with, I'd hold her under the belly and start spinning around and she'd straighten her front legs out in front and her back legs so it looked like she was flying, she loved it!

Greyhounds aren't barkers/howlers by nature, they are so quiet, we forget they are in the car with us sometimes when we go out. But we can make them bark/howl if we start to do it, they just copy us.

Our girl howls on her own when she hears 2 songs....The Who song "Who are you" at the beginning of CSI and the Adele song "Rumor has it". She used to do it to "Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars. I think because in all those songs it sounds like a howl.

My Cat Wiskers loves to weigh himself at times.
This has been going on since he was a baby.

I can get Jake going really quick if I do the dog version of Jingle Bells! (Woof woof woof, woof woof woof) lol, and then once he's primed then just the regular version of Jingle Bells does it.

When i lived with my mum my dog used to hide his bones in the back yard just so he could get another one , once he had got his new bone he would go back and get his old one aswell because hes greedy. So one day he did it again , I saw him hide his bone then he ran in to get another , I went outside and dug his old bone up... When he went back to find it it obviasly wasnt there lol . he was trotting around the garden for ages lol

Yep- have regular conversations with both my cats and used to do duets with the lovely mischief (my avatar sadly passed away at 17YO). Have been known to sing little lullabies to the kittens at the shelter I volunteer at- trouble is (like the rest of you) as a pet person I don't think they are weird at all!

What about pets doing silly things with their owners, my son brought his 12 weeks old kitten with him on his recent stay with me, apart from the mandatory attacking of feet whilst you are asleep it would gently bite your nose and wake you up, if cats could talk it would most definitely state "Oh hi Roy, having a bad dream were we?, still, whilst you`re awake you may as well feed me", missing both of them like crazy now :(.
