Announcement PAB Mid-year 2012 summary posted

Max's mid-year summary for the PABs has been posted here:

Some interesting observations:

*number of AWOL and incomplete PABs up 20%
*total number of cases are down about 20% from last year
*distribution of legitimate complaints amongst the software providers has stayed pretty much the same as it was this time last year.

Just wanted to add that the average value of the PAB claims has dropped considerably. A year ago the average claim was for about $1200, this year it's been down around $500. There's a huge variance on that "average" though, but at least it's a number to work with.

Not sure what that drop means but I'm guessing it's got something to do with the casinos tightening up, possibly due to the general economic climate. Would also be affected by more aggressive Risk Management activities which I'd say is also truer this year than last (an ongoing trend really).
