Omni Casino tricks

There you are. A case resolved when there are many players involved and the casino had to budge to people power to account for the inclarity of their Terms and Conditions. If only all cases were treated equal.

As CJack says, though, their website hasn't changed. So it looks as though it's only resolved for a few players who've complained through Casinomeister. Unless Omni have promised to change their website, warn players in advance, or make some other change to the bonus offer!?

Seeing as the idiom 'doing an Omni' has entered the English language on another thread I just thought it was worth asking again if we're likely to see this issue resolved? At the moment their terms still include the unclear 'bonus abuse' get out clause - so players have to wager $4000 but have no idea whether they'll receive the bonus or not - or am I missing something?

This is a slightly theoretical question as I wouldn't touch the bonus in its present form, but I don't see why they seem to have been let off the hook so easily on here. There's no excuse for not informing players in advance if they're on a 'bonus abusers' list - it's a clear case of fishing for deposits under false pretences.

The way I see it is if Omni does not change their listed terms and does not inform players in advance that they are on a "bonus abuser" list, then they will just go through this every month and ultimately have to give the bonus anyway.

Have any of the players here who were caught in last month's fiasco been told they are ineligible for future bonuses?

The absence of any kind of statement from Omni about this might make one think they have learned nothing from this.

Bryan said on Dec 3 "It looks like they will be making some changes that will be fair to both the players and casino alike." I can't see any which isn't to say maybe they actually have.

Are they still removed from the reputable list? (Sorry should have checked before I wrote.)

Anyway, going forward, if you are a new player, it will make it rather hard for them to say "This loyalty bonus will not be credited to accounts that have in the past shown patterns of bonus abuse (ie wagering is done primarily using promotional funds and not deposited funds)." since wagering with promotional funds would seem to be impossible now.

Omni came up in another thread, so I felt this matter was worthy of comment.

This term is still unchanged. As Clayman said, you would think it's irrelevant - how can you have wagering "done primarily using promotional funds and not deposited funds" when there are no promotional funds in the account until $4000 in wagers has been achieved? And yet, they are still excluding players from their promos. On what basis? "Deposit abuse"? They clearly - though incorrectly - define "bonus abuse" as "wagering primarily with bonus"; so, players deposit and play without a bonus, request the bonus, and are denied because of "bonus abuse".

Abuse of that which doesn't exist, and as such can't be abused.

Anyone thinking of patronizing Omni, read this thread well.

Ha! Deposit abuse. That's FUNNY Caruso.

I have been thinking of giving them a try again recently. Afterall, it would still be a decent bonus still, with the 4000 WR, that is, IF they give it to you. I think maybe I'll just save myself the irritation and skip them. And to think, I use to think they were such a good place to gamble. I used to hold them in the same high regard as Intercasino. I just don't know what they're thinking. Well, maybe I do know what they're thinking. If a player comes in and blows his brains out on slots and fruit machines, I guarantee you they'd be happy to give the bonus. That's probably the bottom line. I'm guessing blackjack and double bonus video poker equals no bonus. Play slots, and you're welcome any day any time. I'm guessing, of course. In the meanwhile I'll just stay out of there. :(

I have been looking around for another wagerlogic casino and I went to download 3diamonds (on the good list) and Omni pops up saying they have merged with thier "sister" casino.

Now, with this thread of how bad Omni is, I am worried that they (3diamonds) needs to be removed from the "good" list since I was redirected to Omni.

Has Omni cleaned up thier act ? Anyone know? I love Intercasino and the tournies they offer. This was the reason I was scouting out new sites. To enter more money tournies. (I have cashed out some nice paychecks on very little entry monies). Last tourny I won was for $780.00 for a $10 investment!

Thanks!

Ah yes, they should be removed from the list. Presumably they are paying for advertising here so you would think they would have contacted their affiliates to let them know and replace it with an Omini link.

There is no difference between any of these casinos (same management), except perhaps that they had not offered bonuses at 3 diamonds for a while, and without bonuses there are 50* fewer complaints.

Interesting they also closed 49er and One-one-one (their 'rich-people only' casino).

So the Peak group has two brands now: Omni, and Sands of the Caribbean

They obviously either felt that they could better market two streamlined brands, or the cost of those extra Cryptologic licences didn't justify their profits.

Sands failed to respond to any of the questions I put to them about why they tried to rob me of an owed bonus until there was affiliate intervention:

Play at your own risk at Sands Of The Carribean.

Funny, I never had a problem either at Omni or Sands. As a matter of fact, they have been more than kind to me in giving me bonuses and loyalty awards, with nary a delay in processing my withdrawals....
