Okay Quick ? All help appreciated

I've read this thread a little at a time, and have been wanting to reply. I agree with the majority here, I think this lady is SOL unless that cheque clears. Technically, she hasn't deposited any money as yet, so how can she possibly win, and how can she be paid on a win that really doesn't exist? Casinos do not allow you to play for free on good faith that you will pay them at a later date, regardless of whether you win or lose. You have to pay upfront, and take your chances. Curious to see the outcome, but doubt it will be a happy one for her. And honestly, IF the cheque bounces, I don't believe she should be paid, innocent mistake or not.

Hi guys!!!

First I want to say thanks to all of you for your replys. Sorry it took me a minute to post , My daughter has been sick. Ok Now to the issue at hand. i want to tell everyone I fully understand the points made about the casino paying on a nsf check. Even though this is a friend of mine ,I told her and I want to tell everyone here, Do I feel bad for her/ Yes 1. Because she is my friend and true friends are hard to come by so when you have one as i am sure everyone will agree you do not like to see them disapointed. 2. is because I was with her when the legal seperation papers were filed and the agreement was because he is in the military and gets what we call B.A.h a housing allowance that he would not get unless he was married. The military law says until the divorce is finale he must still give her the housing allowance. Actually she is entitled to 30% of his entire base pay.If he does not give her the housing allowance he can be court martialed for drawing a fraudlent allowance, because in his on words and writing on the seperation papers he states he has moved out of the home. She agreed with him not to take 30% of the base pay as well as she told him she did not care about getting any of the seperation pay in which you get if you are seperated from your family for more than 90 days per the military.like for example your sship goes on westpac or you go to field training.(not voluntary seperation) But she was trying to be cool with him. When legally she could have raked his ass. And if anyone here does not beleive you can take a name from the account all you have to do is call navy federal credit union. He opened this account in boot camp later on met her got married added her name. Therefore hes the first and original signer on the account. he closed the account to be a jerk because of a previous argument days before, I have advised her to contact his commanding officer , so either way he will get his, A few post before there was a post about pulling this scam intentionally. I first hand know there are some low down shady people out there. (got raked for almost a grand on ebay) but how can someone preplan this? you have no way of knowing you are gonna win.But at the same time I know me and I am not a very trusting person. Not saying I cant be trusted just that It's hard for me to trust. So if I did not know first hand the circumstances I too would say anything is possible. Except 1 major point. The seperation papers were filed way before she had ever signed up for a casino account , Not days before but months. And about the length of time to close a account, minutes is all it takes. i can go write a check all over town as matter of fact I can write you a check and the new law says you cannot call and verify funds you can only check to see if the account is validin which at the time I give it to you the account may be valid. Then lets say i go to the bank and after checking my balance I see its not right i go speak with a teller and find out transactions were fraudently made on my account.lets say i dropped a old check book or something,my account number an dthe name of my bank is all one needs to start shopping, people do check by phone ach transfers all the time . So the teller then closes my account. You can walk into my bank a hour from the time I walked out from closing it present the check I wrote you and bingo your screwed because the account is closed. (this is just a example everyone) its just as easy as putting a stop on your atm card. So because I know the circumstances yes I feel bad for her because no she probably will not get paid. i honestly do not see why she would. But does that mean i'm gonna be pissed and stop playing at the casinos online. HELL NO. ( excuse my french0 ya its messd up what he did. And I personally am gonna help her deal with him. i am a military brat and ex husband was also in military. Was onbudsmen for the navy air craft carrier he was stationed on during 2 seperate 6 month west pacs, Had to deal with wives not getting support owed them as well as husbands too. So I know how to help her with that. But bottom line is this is not the casinos problem. Business is business. i personally hope this is a learning experiance for all the low lifes out there that do try to pull the scheme of depositing nsf checks because . they have whats called guest account or play foer fun accounts. And if I did not know the circumstances and know what happened , i would say more than likely , Hey thats what you get, if you do not have the money dont paly it because when you hit jackpot it wont be paid. no disrespect but I beleive in the saying of if you steal it from someone else it will get stole from you. So I do not want anyone here to fell like i am trying to help her decieve anyone and get away with it, nor do I want anyone to have a bad judgement on me for trying to help her figure this out. But I never hold my tounge and i want everyone to know that yes it was a honest mistake and although I think it would be awsome if the casino worked something out with her provided she provide them with proof. That does not mean I exspect them to or will have a change of view if they do not.Like I said business is business. honestly i'm hoping as far fetched as it may be , but i am hoping they see the bank sees the transaction was made before the account was closed and pays the check and takes it from his military pay. i do know if you have any loans or stuff like that with navy fedral as long as your in the military they can take part of your wages by going through your command and having allotment set up rather you want them to or notand if you change your bank or stop making payments you can bet your ass navy fedreal will do just that. Sorry this was so long and I apologize if I offended anyone or made anyone mad, i come her because it's nice to get advice from others witht he same intrest and as I am hoping I have no futher problems with a casino when I did a few months ago alot of you were there posting opinions that helped alot even if it was just a suggestion or a i hope it works out. So I do not want to upset anyone and I apologize if I did. Thanks you guys. Sorry for typing errors baby sleeping typing in the dark

Hi Mswils, you surely didn't upset me. I have sympathy for your friend, and while I'm usually skeptical, given your explanation, I believe it probably happened exactly as you said. I've been through some of it myself, and know from first hand experience the havoc that ex-husbands (and wives too I guess, lol) can wreak. I also had a joint account closed with no notice, although I hadn't written any cheques on it. And I was stupid enough to leave my casino acct #'s lying around when I moved out. You don't wanna know the problems that caused me. I tried logging into about five different casino accounts one day, and they were all locked. The "idiot" (I can say that, I know him personally, lol) had contacted the casinos saying that I had deposited using his credit card without his knowledge. Pretty funny considering he's never had a credit card in his life. Long story short, it took me about two weeks, and thankfully I knew some people who helped me, but I got all my accounts reopened. And it wasn't like I had any cashouts pending.

Tell your friend to hang in there, and not to get discouraged. Things will work out. Like you said though, the casinos could care less about the circumstances surrounding this scenario....all they care about is whether or not this particular cheque clears. That's just business. But tell her that karma can be a real bitch, and it goes both ways. Best of luck to her.

Ahhh men!!! Can't live with 'em, can't kill 'em.

I beg to differ about the last part of your statement.. Lol!!! You just cant kill em and get caught... :D ,

No direspect intended guys.. I for one am not the kind of women to judge the whole batch based off 1 bad apple. no but Pinababy69.. is whats weired about all this is (and this is the total truth) my friend who is going throughthis, I explained to her all the diffrent points that I seen on this as well as I shared some of your guys opinions. Finally she looked at me and said girl why are you telling me this? Do you see me going on any shopping sprees ? ya in other words she even in her own words said it will be a bleesing if they do pay 1.00 of it. But I do not exspect them too. now those arehe words.. And earlier in this post there was a statment made about would she pay if they do not. Well based on the fact that there is a better chance of me being on the next space shuttle to mars than there is of the casino paying and taking into account she herself is more than fully aware of this yet in still she sent the money order that should answer the question. And again I myself would be very suspicous and skeptical even though she is a friend if she and her husband had not been seperated and had not been going through the current situation. Also she did not even if you read my first post on this, I was winning and as i spoke with her during that time is when she decided to go play for the first time. And when all this is over and finalized I am going to see if we cannot have the casino that this took place at verify this. It should show what time she signed on and deposited. So it being preplanned is not possible. Well I say not possible based on how could you preplan to win that much money if someone knows please tell me so I can clear my schedule for the next year. And again it can without a doubt be proven when she made the deposit and when the account was closed. Why in the world would you go and close the account the day after winning more than 20,000.00..But even after saying all that,, i still have to say anything is possible and I have seen more stupid stunts pulled than this would have been. (Had it been a scam) So me and her both agree there if the casino does not pay it. Can we blame them? I can not. But now the hubby well lets just say it like this. its a community property law. And they wrote no provisions in their seperation papers about splitting assets( which i am advising her to amend) Before she gets debt she dont even know about. But anyway based on that he screwed himself, and that alone if it was me the thought of knowing I could have possibly had a cool extra 12 grand in my pocket, I would feel about 2 inches tall . not saying even if he tried to sue for half he would have been granted the half in the divorce, but I know him and he would have definatley tried, now he blew the chance to even request it. As it states in the above post Karma is evil. I think that Karma and the devil have the same momma. Sorry you guys I'm sure some of you are not happy with the long post I will keep it short from now on.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????. I can excuse your french, but your english is what is troubling me. I'm sorry to sound insensitive, but your friend screwed up. You persist in trying to convince us you and her are good people. We believe you already! Your rambling posts will not get your friend paid unfortunately. I'm sure you deposited with best intentions, but best intentions don't matter in financial and legal issues. I wish you luck, but time to move on and chalk this one up, you won't be paid.

Why?

Why has thus thread suddenly gone 3 feet wide!!!
I can't make head nor tail of what is posted because as I slide the horizontal scroll it suddenly jerks and I lose my place.

I can't see any included images that might lead to this!

I was wondering that too. I can't read the longer posts on this page because it is so darn wide (actually the previous page, this one is normal width).

Hi,

this might be too late, apologize if so:

you should be able to contact the bank and after giving them sufficent funds to cover the check, they should be more than willing to oblige.

There is no possible repercussion to the bank for satisfying such a request and in fact, they should be eager to do it in hopes you'd open your new account with them.

bottom line IMHO is that you won't get paid unless the check clears.

Oops, sorry if my ??s messed up the format of the thread guys. I'd sure like to know what happened with this, but I'm pretty sure some of us veteran players know what really did come down. No pay for miss slow pay!!
