What the Hell is going on at this forum?

I have been temporarily banned for vicious flaming. That's cool, I probably deserve it. But......

Then we get an older member that decides to start posting for the first time, who knows why. He is arrogant, smart mouthed, and oh so clever (he thinks) in his baiting of other members on the forum. Thinks he's a real one of a kind. JHV is his name, ring any bells, peeps?

OK, Now we have an ego fight between two members. One who is unknown, one who is quite popular, more or less. And, all of a sudden.......

JHV is finally banned, permanently we hope. But wait, then Robwin has "dead" typed under his name and then Shazaam!, he is banned!

Does anyone know what the Hell is going on here?

He was so insidious in his insults to so many in his posts, you would have to be dead to not respond!! A typical, common sociopath, with visions of superiority, was our JHV!

I'm sure there's a lot of merit in that approach, but equally if some personalities are allowed to stamp about with no constraints, their very nature can create irritation and disruption, provoking even the kindest souls into non-productive responses.

And I believe that there are some who thrive on generating that sort of response, who have a private agenda or simply insist on imposing their own viewpoint on everyone at every opportunity.

Most here know how to socialise and interact reasonably with others - which is what I guess we're doing here with a common interest - without becoming objectionable or insulting. But some, fortunately a very small minority, either can't or won't develop those skills.

Should they therefore continue to be given free rein? I think there are limits to patience, understanding and yes, even kindness.

I have to say I am glad JHV has finally been permanently banned. He was just too smart for all us ordinary folk. (or so he seems to think) I know it is Bryan's forum but I also can't understand why Robwin had to take a vacation. JHV could rile a saint.

How dare we or the person banned try and take there living away from them, they are both family men with bills and essentials to pay, the sites they run are there bread and butter and I honestly think they do the best they can with them.

Ive noticed in the 2-3 years I have been here that every now and then a JHV comes along and does this type of stuff, I dont know why or if there is a hidden agenda.

I presonally think Rob was great in the way he handled things, he gave back what JHV was dishing out in my book.

Me personally, im a lover not a fighter- there is already to much crap going on in this world, we all need to get along.

JHV went after KK an Rob because there was a thread that Rusty started an JVH asked all 3 what their thoughts was on something to do with RTG an Rusty was the only 1 to reply to him about it
Heck Rusty had the knowledge so why did KK an Rob have to answer to well they didnt an he got pissed I remember even pming KK an Rob at that time an telling them that JVH was on the warpath with them
I think Rob replied to me but KK didnt thats cool I was just alerting them that I sensed a attack coming from JHV an sure enough there it was

This is just my opinion...
JHV was never here to help anyone but himself. From his first post I found him to be very selfish and egotistical. His rants and attacks on other members were tedious and nonproductive. Anyone can spout numbers and statics, but I never read any thread where he went out of his way to help other members.
I don't always agree with what other people post, but that's what makes this a great forum. Many different views/takes on issues can help a person determine what their choice on any certain issue will be. I've never seen Rob or KK "push" their sites on other members, just the opposite. On several occassions I have read other members making suggestions to peruse both of their sites and they both are very well constructed and user friendly (just my opinion again).
I,personally, appreciate the time members take to check out new games for glitches, and what-nots. I'm way too lazy to do it myself. I appreciate that we have a great place to come to to share our experiences with others. And a big personal thank you to CM for permanently banning JHV. There were alot of threads I enjoyed reading until I got to posts from him, then 9 times out of 10 I would stop updating on that thread, and probably missed a lot.

Rob is one of the good guys! We fight side by side. We all have our bad days!
I am very disappointed that you would take Rob out of our element. We need the fighters!

Re-instate Rob because seriously, if you are going to do something like this to one of the people that fight the fight then I will not come back. Not that it matters if I come back or not but that's my 2.

IMO, Mojo, that harsh judgement on the mods here is not justified.

RobWin was, as Simmo has already pointed out, handed a brief vacation to give him an opportunity to cool down after that totally unprovoked and scurrilous attack by JHV.

His banning has nothing to do with his good standing and solid contributions to the forum or the affiliate industry, and everything to do with trying to maintain the equilibrium of the forum. Which is what mods do.

Rob was undoubtedly baited by JHV, but he's sufficiently mature and experienced to recognise that and not lose it, however briefly, as I think he would himself acknowledge.

I look forward to his return.

As a footnote - this is a small example of the disruption and ill-feeling that can be generated by someone of JHV's nature.

Mojo is probably a little upset over it all and probably see's it from a different angle than we do.

He's gone now and we can all move on, I do think Rob will be back as this place is a big part of what he does as an affiliate and I think he likes us all as well.

time to move on and hope someone like JHV will see within himself oneday and take a few steps back and treat people how he would like to be treated.

My Sincere Apology To All...

First of all I would like to sincerely thank each and everyone of you great guys and gals that sent me private messages and emails. I barely had the time to read all of them but I did take the time and I just want to say a sincere "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart. It is a heartfelt joy and a desire that everyone should have friends as good as you guys are.

The ones that have replied here in this thread and even the ones that didn't but thought about it, I sincerely thank you for your comments, thoughts and support, all. :notworthy

I would like to sincerely apologize to the entire forum here for me letting my emotions get the better of me last week before I was temporarily suspended. I also agree with what Simmo said here in this thread as well as Jetset and I also agree with what Jetset so eloquently said in the other thread in post # 58. Thank you Jetset.

I also want everyone to know that I too agree with CM temporarily banning/suspending me. As Jetset already stated, in order to maintain the equilibrium and continued civility of the forum, these types of suspensions and temporary bannings are needed. Like Simmo said, it also gave me a chance to cool off and get my head clear.

Just wanted all of you guys to know that I am happy to be back amongst good peeps!

It's something that we teach our kids (well, should be teaching our kids), and something that we all learned in Kindergarten - "two wrongs don't make a right." If someone is picking on you, you tell the teacher. Once you punch back, you're in trouble as well and will probably be sent to the principal's office.

That's the way it is in the schoolyard - that's how it is in Casinomeisterland

I'm sure we can all relate to this - self restraint is tough.
