That's bad enough for me, not all threats are explicitly worded there is such a thing as implied, you could say it's a warning that her actions will have repercussions for her children, he doesn't have to say he will be the one carrying out any harm.

He shouldn't even mention her children, it has nothing to do with them whether she certifies the vote or not, as per her role.

Yes, they were found in a deep red county. They forgot to enter them after a water pipe burst or something like that if I remember correctly. It's not like some demmies kept them hidden

He may not have intended it to be sinister, but in this day and age with angry/violent protesters turning up at people's homes, picketing them, it is very foolish to start mentioning locations.

And any parent, in that official's boots, would think twice with fear once their kids were being brought into it, so I can only conclude that was his real objective as he got more desperate to influence her decision and the outcome.

In any other time it could be a normal type of point (for an idealistic democrat) to make in a political debate, but these days it will be seen by some as an instruction to attack, that's really my beef, what it could lead to, and it's not right for officials to have to face that in their decision making.

In this day and age I don't see why 4k cameras can't film up close and watch every thing that happens in the voting halls etc.. sometimes in the uk a minister walks up the road, carrying some sheets of paper, and the press cameras can zoom in to read any handwriting, even when upside down.
