It is unfair to state that Hydroxychloroquine is an untested drug, as it was approved by the FDA back in 1955 for use in treating:
- malaria, although it is not successful against all strains;
- rheumatoid arthritis
- lupus

It can also be prescribed to treat other illnesses it was not primarily designed to treat, which could include COVID-19, although how beneficial it is proving to be is still an unknown.

What is well known, and thoroughly documented, are the side effects, both short-term and long-term, which can not only be dangerous, but life-threatening.

Harry, greylady and myself documented in the Coronavirus thread the side-effects we experienced when taking Chloroquine and HCQ, and I will add another to that list.

After visiting the Victoria Falls, a malaria hotspot which is why I was taking Chloroquine, I left for England, and two weeks after landing, ended up in St Mary's hospital in Paddington, as I had developed a heart arrhythmia, just another documented side-effect caused by that wretched drug.

Trump is extremely fond of expounding that "The cure must not be worse than the disease."

Well Mr President, HCQ just might prove to be the exception to this rule.

And with all the documented side effects, would Trump actually risk taking this drug?

cohen was guilty of something non-trump related I believe and is serving a longer sentence, mannafort not sure I know the details of, he was one of the quicker earlier ones so that story passed me by. [will look into it though]
roger stone was guilty of getting himself muddled up in his nest of eccentric tale telling, not something substantial but was treated like el chapo a dangerous mobster.

There is nothing here of substance, excluding flynn, you could say trump has had a tendency to attract or hire shady characters; but regarding the original issue of russian collusion with putin to hack hillary etc and help him win the election, I have not heard or read of independent evidence of that.

People have theories, fine, but it feels like a flimsy pretence because they simply can't stand trump and his political viewpoints.

You really can’t see any wrong in Trump can you? In your eyes he can do whatever he wants and it will be justified . How many Obama associates were jailed in his 2 terms ? But that doesn’t matter in your eyes , democrats = bad, Trump = good, regardless of what he does.
