Going by that piece alone, one could easily be forgiven for thinking he's doing it a) because he can and b) to maybe - just maybe - be helpful

Thing is someone as chequered as Bill Gates isn't going to be warmly be embraced by all and sundry. Suppose the other side of the coin being, that provided 7 Billion people aren't strapped down and vaccinated against their will, this 'vaccine' may be better than......herd immunity? Huddling around at home?

He has the means to fund the research and is throwing money at it for what, world domination? In the 20-30 years he likely has left he's going to cackle to himself round the fire, rubbing his hands at how he screwed humanity up?

He's even said 18 months is a working target with many shortcuts taken. There's 'approved' meds out there that take 5-10 years to exhibit side-effects, so really people can't have it both ways if everyone's crying out for protection against future Covid assaults.

Personally I'd like it to run its natural testing cycle (bearing in mind viruses evolve and adapt throughout) but even then, I don't think we'll ever come close to a fully-functioning vaccine anyhow

I must say that it did miss the whole point of BM though. And was actually not about BM, but mostly other stuff.

Understandable, it was made 2016 and they were just starting to be known in the west. But for the Tokyo part, it was horribly stereotypical piece even for the time it was made (and on the topics it actually tried to cover).

The best part was actually Crossfaith's short interview.

Far better use of time than watching a BG interview. And provided something to do with yet another forum downtime.

Even tho humans are technically animals, i much prefer my documentaries featuring more nature.

That said, i have heard rumours about interesting documentaries featuring the complex human mating ritual.
Apparently theres a whole bunch of them on some video site called cornclub or something like that.
Maybe ill check it out if i ever run out of nature documentaries.

Weird isn't it. I was watching Kroffe's video instead (which he didn't watch). And then started rambling about stuff which was not on topic. Only to come to a conclusion that quarantine without drinking is crappy. I even came to that realisation without Paul telling me so.

Makes one wonder, if Mack's been correct all along -- too much strange shit happening

I tend to agree I don't think we should be looking to fundamentally change society for the long term due to a short term virus which has a death rate similar to a severe flu outbreak. [not at the moment, but once it's established how many people in total have had the virus in their system]

There are medicines being tested that look promising, the problem in the uk is we've not been using any, which in my view is terribly short sighted and unscientific, cruel on those who caught the virus but might have been willing to try established drugs that have passed safety tests for use in other illnesses, pepticAC, hydroxchloroquine etc..

People like Fauci argue that this virus will be with us for years but how do they know that for certain? Seems like more wishful thinking on their part than anything history has taught us regarding respiratory viruses.

The moderation in CM has became truely shocking. It had degenerated into becoming a club for a hand full of members protected and even encouraged by a mod. In Bens banned thread a member was called by the mod for making a personal remark towards a member who has slagging off Ben. Yet he allowed all and sundry to make personal attacks on Ben when the guy had no way of defending himself.
And here he allows his small bunch of forum buddies treat a lady this way.
It is ruining the forum at a time when Bryan himself stated that members may need the forum more than ever.
It is shameful
