No More Guts, Thrills, Betspin Etc For Aussies

On 5th December Skrill, Neteller and Paysafecard are stopping all deposits and withdrawals from Aussies to sites without a Australian gaming licence.
Ecopayz did the same in the beginning of the month.

Would you have more info on that please as to what online casinos have an actual Australian gaming licence.

I only use Neteller and as an existing customer I can still play at Video Slots and Slots Million. Would I be able to use Neteller there?

There is no casino with an actual Australian online gaming licence. It's not possible to obtain.
However, there are sportsbooks.

So to answer your question, you will not be able to use Neteller, Skrill or Paysafecard for the use of playing online casino.

At any casino or just those ones?

What about Mastercard or wire transfer?

I don't really know what Sportsbooks is lol

Sorry about all the questions but I am very sad as I did get an email from Video Slots and its ending for us on the 30th of November :(

One casino I really love :(:(:(:(

I'm really unhappy about this too. VS is by far and away my favourite casino.

Unless the Aus Gov licenses select online casinos (very unlikely) my daily slot playing looks to be over. What a shame. Will have to find a new hobby or move countries.

Only way for Aussies to continue to play in the future will be via bitcoins I believe. But it's hard to say. Time will tell. VISA/Mastercards are still available, but probably not for long.

We all know that Australian gamblers don't get taxed, if you were referring to my comment I said if we were taxed.

I personally do not think there is anything fishy about the accredited casinos I play at.

And most would agree the Australian government is not making the best decisions in a lot of areas. That is a different subject though and each to their own:)

A part of me still feels that taxes have had to been an issue in the political process when overhauling the laws..Even if considered a hobby, its not taxable but even after a certain threshold some financials are expected to be claimed/declared. For e.g a hobby style market stall can become a business for tax purposes once earnings exceed a certain level of profits etc. So it could be said a casino winning meets that criteria if profit exceeded cost at the threshold? Or I also had a thought about when travelling in from overseas, certain sums need declaring right, so maybe it similar to that logic economically perhaps...

I'm sure that if there was a way for serious online casinos to get a license in Australia they would obey the regulations, and pay the taxes, that the B&M does. You could have a central self-exclusion registry including central register to set limits etc.

If the Australien Government did it right it is my belief that they could protect problem gamblers far more than to impose a ban. Soon it will just be rogue operators to play at who are regulated by Curacao etc. That means NO player protection what so ever.

My guess is that this bill is "bought" by James Packer as a way to protect his investments in land based casinos in the same way as Steve Wynn and Sheldon Adelson "buy" politicians in the US.

Gotta agree with u there! I think Packers got his fingers in more pies than we would like to think. which leads to me another huge gripe I have with the laws-why cant Packer or anybody else for that matter see that clearly there is a demand for better services than the lousy few casinos eacj capital city has and open up the market for some regulated oroviders and allow it to be run according to whatever regulations but keeping the business and money within Aus for example-the monopolies that exist here are getting out of control-energy and gas companies and prices for example. When land based alternatives are limited Can we be blamed for turning the internet to seek better services?
