Im not sure if this has been asked before

How do the RTP settings work at Netent casino's

Are they like Microgamings, set in stone or like RTG where as the casino can ask the supplier to alter the settings
or can individual casino's change these settings as and when they feel like it.

I have watched several of Netents slots video's when a new slots released and there is an obvious difference between them and
the end product,

Well, first explain the difference you refer to?

As far as I know they are like MG slots and play to the same TRTP which ever portal or skin supplies them via flash. I am 99% sure.

The game files should be the same whichever Netent casino you play at.

But please expand on what you mean by 'differences'.....

Check out the video
1 minute 50 seconds in they get 4 jacks on the top reel 3 spins in a row, i think anybody thats ever played the game
would think this is not normal as with some of their other videos, top paying symbols on the top line over and over again
it obvious Netent have altered the RTP deliberately in the videos to make them more entertaining to seem like they pay out more
(I think this was confirmed by someone ages ago I cant find the thread though)
so it looks like the payouts are not set in stone like MG but can be altered

so that got me wondering who is doing the altering Netent or the casino,
or once a game released to the casino the RTP cant be altered by anyone

Right, at risk of foil-hatting I have to agree with you here. I have played thousands of spins on this slot and never, at any time, actually got 4 jacks at all. 3 a few times, but never 4. To get four like that 3 consecutive spins is POSSIBLE but IMO is complete bollox.
So now we have to examine this video - who posted it and where, and what disclaimers come with it? Does it state 'this video is a reflection of some wins available' or such?
We need to differentiate here, because this is obviously a demo game as you start in the video with 5000 Euros, as with all Netent free plays. It is clearly NOT a true reflection of the game though and if promoted as such is wrong. A freeplay slot must play EXACTLY the same as the real money version and not have an enhanced RTP to hook the potential player in.

So, at this stage we MUST confirm the source and context and information of this video before foil hats are tossed in the air. IF this is sold to the viewer as how JatB plays, then it is complete crap and should be revised; it's almost like MG showing a video of BDBA with 4 sapphires/wilds coming in on the same line for 3 consecutive spins. Statistically not impossible, but you would be more likely to win the lottery jackpot 2 weeks on the bounce.

I dont think tin foil hats come into it :)
Also im not saying there is anything wrong or underhanded going on,
Im fairly sure its been stated somewhere that the video's are for entertainment value only

Its been discussed in length and confirmed that MG slots once released cant be altered by anyone

Its been discussed at length and confirmed that RTG slots can be altered by the casino by applying to RTG to change them to one of three settings every 6 months or so

But i dont think its ever been discussed or confirmed about Netent slots,
it would be nice to get some clarity on this, Maybe some of the reps can shed some light on this

Redbet's representative confirmed that the RTP for Netent slots is not adjustable in a thread sometime last year.

Yeah, I thought so that's why I said I was 99% sure they were the same a MG in that respect.

This video, if as Chopley states is for entertainment only, is fair enough. But I think it's slightly disingenuous of them because it's clearly an adulterated video and not a true reflection of how awful the slot actually is. Because the video is on YT and not on their site(s) they can get away with it. I don't like it though. As the OP says, it's utter BS.

NetEnt can not be changed

The % for Netent slots can not be changed by the operators it is the same payout % on all operators.

However - NetEnt can replicate game videos - etc with different outcomes - I am pretty sure of.
Same as when a new game is demod you can sometimes just click a button to enter the bonus game just to try it out without actually having to get the bonus symbols - but that is only in demo mode.

When the games are released into production - operators can not adjust netent game payout %

hi , can anyone clarify that the reels in free spins are pooled from a different set of reels in base game as i see this often that it seems 100% different with almost less top symbols ? ?

Net-ent is the same at all casinos

I know for a fact that Net-ent is same payout at all casinos one word Thunderfist I have won big on that one slot at comeon, mrgreen and at betvictor 3 independent casinos in no way associated. I have also won on bloodsuckers at dozens of casinos and the bonus rounds always as low or as high a payout at each then theres reel steel won on that at loads of casinos too this evidence should speak for itself then theres the games with 4x wild Trolls wild witches and Excalibur all have had same payout and chance of winning at each casino I've played them at(note these particular 3 are ideal for low rolling) ;)

It seems like it to me on JATB, DoA has the same vibe about it as well.

It's amazing how many low paying symbols are around on the reels once you get a load of wilds going on.

JatB switches to a different set of reels when there's a "walking wild" in the base game (more low paying symbols and no scatter).

DoA also switches to a different set of reels for the bonus round (no scatter, a ton of low paying symbols and wilds are a lot more rare).

I've always considered these videos from NetEnt "Trailers", comparable to movie trailers, that also show the best scenes from a movie. Just because the trailer is good, doesn't mean the movie can't be crap ;) (I can prove it).

Shouldnt online casinos be disclosing this kind of information in their help section though? Kinda misleading.

Eggomatic was a great example of that ;)

The videos are just to highlight all of the possible outcomes and features of the game.
They'd be a bit long if they tried to do that realistically. There's a trigger in the demo games to set "free spins on next spins", Bonus on next spin etc (no, sadly it doesn't exist when the games are live) that reps use to show us the games in development I assume the videos are made using these triggers.

And no, you definitely can't alter the RTPs on Netent games.

Here you go, straight from the horses mouth.
Always very helpful the netent folks...

"At NetEnt we like to make our games individual and unique. In keeping with this, some games will have very different mathematics in the freespins/bonus rounds; Elements being a fine example with 4 very different bonus rounds all working on different mathematical models each with unique wilds, all with very different behaviours.
In our eagerly awaited up and coming 'Reel Rush' which will be released on the 24th July, we have 6 different reel configurations giving the player between 45 and 3,125 ways to win. In freespins mode the reels are all unlocked, so while the spin works the same as in the base game, the player has the best possible chance to win" - Shane Cotter, Product Manager, Net Entertainment.

So, as I'm sure you suspected, it varies.
