My online slots videos (plus UK AWPs)

Or maybe he just doesn't want to make any more, for time or other considerations. He's made his mind up, so perhaps we should leave him in peace?

We'll all miss them equally.......:(

I think he did mention once before that it was a work related issue that made him close the account the first time round. I suspect he's just really busy.

Dunover, you would make an excellent replacement.

+2 Great idea Dunover I am sure would do a great job. His posts always make me laugh. I love his humor:)

That aside I still enjoy reading Chopley's posts so I do hope he is back posting soon.:)

I looked at Chopleys profile, and all questions are answered with "hello".

Does anybody knows what happened to Chopley?

I`m a little bit concerned now.

Indeed. It is a bit concerning. Putting aside my disappointment about him no longer doing any videos I do hope he is ok. I'm sure he has a good reason for knocking it on the head though. Changing all his profile info is peculiar though.

Hi guys thanks for all the comments and concern but there's nothing horrible or sinister going on :)

As I explained it over at the Jackpotty forums (a UK based AWP-centric set of forums, I mentioned it on the channel a few times):

Pretty much #1 TBH, except it hadn't actually happened but was getting very close to happening. (Not so much colleagues, but people further up the food chain than me.)

I have a responsible job with a raft of terms and conditions attached, and also responsibilities outside of work that affect a lot of people. And it was getting to the point where I was thinking, 'You know what, there are some folks I really wouldn't want watching these videos, it could drop me in the shit (which by extension drops my family in the shit), and also negatively impact the people I represent.'

Truth be told the channel was starting to become a worry for me, especially since a couple of folks had commented to me about it IRL (albeit positively) who have no interest in gambling and I had no idea knew anything whatsoever about my channel. So then I got to thinking, what if someone sees these videos who's got an axe to grind with me?..... As kidgloves says, gambling is still seen as a pretty taboo subject in some quarters. I could argue that I'm a pretty clued-up bonus player who manages to clear a decent profit online, and then again on the AWPs in the pubs, but to some folks it's just as simple as GAMBLING = BAD. (And then you've got the ranty sweary stuff as well, and the various tales of drugs and whatnot.)

The other thing that was concerning me was the video analytics were starting to show a disproportionate increase in the number of views from the Isle of Man, and I'm like, 'Who are all these people watching my videos on the Isle of Man?'......

That's all it comes down to really, the channel was starting to cause me some stress and worry, because as much as I enjoyed the sessions (well, mostly :D) and doing the commentary and editing everything together for people to watch and (hopefully!) enjoy, I was becoming increasingly mindful of the impact it could have on my IRL job with all the obvious consequences that could entail.

I've edited my profile because there was starting to be a bit more information about me as public knowledge than I was comfortable with, so I've decided to pretty much just retire and call it a day (I've found my heart really isn't into slotting now I know there's no more channel to make stuff for).

In summary, nothing sinister going on but thanks very much for the comments, and I hope you enjoyed the videos whilst they lasted :)

Whew! Thanks for the update Chopley, glad you are ok:thumbsup: I shall miss your videos. You will continue to post on here right? I have always enjoyed reading your posts and learn a great deal from your insights. :)

Chopley, you're a smart man and from everything I've read from you you really seem to have your shit together. Take care of what is important first and foremost and please continue to contribute in any way you see fit to do so.

Darn will miss your vids Chopley... :o
I seriously enjoyed them!
Thanks m8! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I actually started to enjoy Netent slots for a change, certainly after seeing your Netent video's and learned a thing or 2 about them.
Thanks for that!

I could make videos, but my voice is very deep and dulcet compared to our Chopley's - he made a simple expletive sound funny whereas from me it would simply sound like cursing, plus I have an estuary accent unlike his Manc lilt. I do have though a whole litary of abuse ready to unload against Netent slots ranging from TFTUT to Vile Torture to Tragic Bore-tals, and now I have ALIEN to rant at too.
We'll see. Firstly I would need a bit of advice on what generic software to use, and editing. I have a week off soon so would firstly do a test session on freeplay to get the hang of it. :)
I do have a good Sony Camcorder with SD card facility so I could easily load the vid onto my PC, from there to upload would be easy, in between (the editing) I lack expertise in....

By the way,I do understand Chopley's point regarding his job but what I find unacceptable is that gambling is still a bad word in many people's dictionary.
Gambling is fun and entertaining, and ofcourse people get addicted but does that not also count for drugs, medicines, alcohol, tobacco, sex, games etc etc etc.
Most of those are commonly accepted but gambling isn't.

A shame really but I hope you stay active on this forum Chops!

Yeah, but he's addicted to all those too, so give him a break, he's got to give one of 'em up!

Dunover I say go for it and pick up the mantle where Chopley left off. Your videos would be yours and I am sure would be a hoot to watch. I am sure there are some members who can give you tips on editing. I for one would love to see a video made by you. Hope to see something from you soon:)

Hello everyone!

I'm still around and started a new YouTube channel at the end of last year. It's almost entirely focused on UK AWP ('fruit machine') emulation, covering historical tricks/tips/cheats/emptiers, as well as me out and about at the pub playing land-based random slots and AWPs in the pubs.

However, I have done some reuploads from my old channel.

The latest upload revisits the time I took on the £122,000 65xD+B WR at Tropica Casino on their 1777% match bonus.

I've also added a new intro and outro to give the video some context. If you look further back on my channel there's also a reupload of an old Jackpot Party session (RIP Jackpot Party!) and also Starspins.

Thought it might be of interest to some folks :)

Cheers,

Chopley/Degsy

HOOOOORAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! Me old mucker Chopley Turnip is back in town! Your videos still make me laugh from memory - you inspired me to make a channel with similar bad language, complaining and prolific use of expletives! Great to see you again mate! :lolup::lolup:

Hey dunover how's it going? I see you are very busy in the world of online slots these days and have grown quite an online presence! :) Glad my drunken ramblings all those years ago convinced you to have a go yourself :D I'll have a look back through your channel's history and see what goodies await.

I'm very out of touch with the world of online slots, last time I played online was a 3Dice session back in 2014 when they gave me a birthday bonus in May, the last time I actually deposited anywhere was April 2014. I'd have no idea where to start these days, presumably there are a few new software providers to choose from that are fun/interesting? (Wouldn't rule out loading up on a bonus somewhere and videoing a session though, see if I can get back in the groove :D)

Here's one of my new videos, this is me out at the pub with my mates earlier in the month, includes some random £500 jackpot slot play (which are legal in pubs here), and also a proper tussle with a £100 jackpot AWP. Apologies for my mate's awful dancing at the start of the video, and for how incredibly sexy I am. *

* Please note, sexiness of Chopley may have been overstated.

WELCOME BACK CHOPLEY!

Thanks guys :) Feel like I'm dipping my toe back into the water a bit but these forums were always a great place to be with a very good crowd, got a few years of history to catch up on though :D

Great my friend, great! Yes, I now attend various affiliate conferences around Europe and as soon as I speak I hear the reply "OH! you're the bloke who makes those slot review videos and winner videos with swearing?" :D

Just goes to show you were right in the circumstances to remove the channel for purposes of discretion as it's so easy to get recognized. You'll need a week to go through my channel as there's hundreds of slot reviews plus the same amount of play-session videos, some movie length and nobody could put up with my gravelly grumbling that long.

My favourite line which still makes me chuckle was your 3Dice video, where you were trying to bonus each slot in turn, and had a 7x on one game, then waited ages for the bonus on the next and got the princely sum of 2x "Oh no,no,no,no,no! - that's just what I f*cking need when (forgot the slot's name) has just bent me over and fired one up my ar$e" Still laugh at that today, classic!

P.S. don't go too near any Vauxhall Cavaliers, although fortunately they've all probably ended up in the same place as yours by now...:laugh:

Sounds pretty funky old chap, great to see you've managed to make a success of your online shenanigans :)

I remember that session at 3Dice very well, I was getting quite cross with it by that point. I think it was Scatterville Skunks that irked me so much, 3Dice's take on the 243-way slot genre. Bloody awful thing. It still ended up a winning session though, as I recall!

That's the bugger I meant! Classic session. I like the way Tropicana removed the golf slot from wagering under bonuses after your video.....

Yeah they hit that bonus with a serious nerf-hammer, not only reducing The Back Nine's contribution to wagering to 10%, but reducing its RTP by 4% as well  (And they also reduced all other slots' contribution to the bonus to 10% where the RTP was 96% or higher.)

I see 3Dice are still around and have a couple of new slots to try, although they've lost their accredited status here at CM and have had payment issues apparently?

I think I'll be doing quite a bit of reading and research before I commit to an online session anywhere :)

Online is unrecognizable from four years ago. Brace yourself

I don't remember exactly what the payment issue on 3dice was, but in a recent thread, it was explained like this: it was from a big cashout and a payment processor not co-operating or something like that for a person in the US and that was a few years ago.

I am a regular on 3dice and they have payed many people without issues. The site is still running well.

Ahhh OK thanks for clearing that up, I'll get the 3Dice client installed and see if my old account still works :)

A reupload of a fairly tame session at Redbet from April 2014. I'd got stuck behind a WR at 32Red earlier in the week so didn't fancy playing with a bonus again so soon, so this was a straight deposit and then quad-slot play on NetEnt slots.

I see RedBet are still accredited here at CM! :)

I was speaking to Enzo last month at ICE and all is OK with 3Dice. They had some issues getting refunds back to players in certain countries which were sorted. They aren't accredited any more as they service the 'Grey' unregulated markets, the same as any US-facing RTG casino can no longer be accredited here, even if it was hitherto meeting the accredited standards.

Cheers for the info dunover, I need to get my arse in gear and get Neteller sorted again and that sort of stuff (my Neteller account expired after a couple of years of inactivity, hopefully it'll be relatively easy to revive it or open a new one). Certainly for 3Dice I'll need Neteller to get money in and out.

If 3Dice are still basically the same crowd as they were back in 2014, with Enzo at the helm, I'll be happy enough to trust them as a casino. Their record with me was 100%, nothing to complain about at all. (Apart from Arctic Adventure, grrrr, bloody hell I had a love/hate relationship with that slot. More hate than love.....)

You'll probably find that Neteller will have blocked deposits to 3Dice, as they have with most non-UKGC licensed casinos. So I'd check first

Really? I was hoping that is true but still see the rogue scam Alpha Interactive casinos are offering Neteller as a payment method for UK IP's. I just checked.

Hopefully if it was ultimately blocked then great and let's hope all other processors like Visa, MC, Paysafe do the same!!

Really? That's pretty crap.

How is one supposed to get money in and out then?

They will advise you on live chat I believe - they don't advertise their methods on here for obvious reasons.

They might advertise it. But any deposits get blocked from Neteller's end, and just show as an error on the casino's deposit page

Wow, has it really got to that level of cloak and dagger just to play at an online casino?

3Dice still list Neteller in their banking options on their site, but I guess Neteller can decide what to do based on your location -

It would be very exciting if I had to meet a shadowy 3Dice operative under the large acorn tree in a local park, say the secret passphrase ('The Chillwind Yeti taunts the Kobold Geomancer at midnight'), and hand over an envelope with laundered cash in it to make a deposit, whilst Russian operatives nearby are trying to take us down with novichok.

Nearly - you need to travel to Jaywick On Sea and ask for 'Valerie' in the local chippie, and "I am the blue 32red necromancer on Codeine" should be uttered in her left ear (she's deaf in the right one). You will be given a Swizzels two-tone sherbert lolly, green on top yellow underneath. Don't despair as when eaten you can unroll the paper which makes the cardboard stick, and after unrolling about 10cm you'll see a pencilled combination of letter and numbers. This is a Paysafe voucher code and entitles you to $100 credit.

A uniquely British proposition, the SWP or 'Skill With Prizes' machine.

These were popular in the early 90s, and allowed for bigger cash prizes than the AWP (Amusement With Prizes) were permitted to pay at the time. In the case of this machine it was a £20 cash jackpot, when AWPs were limited to £6 tokens or £3 cash.

Please note I was rather drunk for some of this video and it gets a bit sweary in places.

Well that was a heck of a blast from the past. I didn't expect to see you here.
