lol, funny I feel kinda shy suddenly, but here goes. I've been working on a website lately - seems like forever, it's been a huge amount of work trying to get this thing going with all the other stuff I'm also working on. It's an aff site but with lots of stuff for newbies, articles about different things that new players don't have a clue about.

I've got banners but don't have a lot YET as far as casino reviews or whatnot, I wanted to get some of the basic articles done and get the site speeded up as much as I could. I'm going to have to move servers soon because I'm currently running two different wordpress installs and all that databasing is occasionally putting my server into a coma.

Anyhow if anyone has time to take a look, maybe read some of my stuff and give me any feedback that would be great! Remember that the site is targeted toward NEW players so it's got a lot of really basic stuff that most of us here know already. Also I'm still working on the main page (feedback from el muppet) so it's not really as good as maybe it might be later, but anyhow...

ummm ok so you can find the url in my webmastered websites on my profile.

Any comments, please send me a pm or email me through the site so I don't get embarrassed if (when) you find any mistakes. :p

    thanks!

Checked it out too, left you a Pm through the site's sytem, and indeed it looks very nice, and i like the concept.

I didn't proof read or anything but what i read was seemingly flawless.
    Good luck with your site!

@Ben, I hope you didn't find TOO many mistakes!

For anyone who's trying to view it, I have to apologize for the lag time, I've had my hosting company looking at my sever for the last few weeks and they can't tell what's going on. Sometimes it's totally fine and quite fast, then suddenly it's down to a crawl. A couple times the server just had a fit and died completely. They've moved me once already and it all seemed fine and then it started happening again - always at night when I'm trying to work on it! The other server was getting DDOS attacks so maybe it's the same thing.

Anyhow I've tested the heck out of the site and there's not a whole lot more I can do to speed it up, the main issue is the current server. Once I'm on a better server it will be so fast it will give you a nosebleed. I promise. If it doesn't, I'll come to your house and give you a nosebleed myself! :D

Agree with the above. Looking good so far... but I searched and searched it and was unable to find the Bingo section ;)

Also... was I thre first to like the FB page? (and was I the only one who pictured Johnny Depp when I saw the URL?) :)

Nice one Chatyton - good luck with it. Love seeing players go this route - can't beat writing from experience. Don't forget to stick it your sig at some point! It's not like you haven't been around long enough to do that.

Hi chayton, I couldn't think of a better person to be advising players how to be savvy gamblers, best of luck with it.

The site looks really nice, it took a little longer than expected to load for some reason. These are all the fun things you get to figure out that Simmo doesn't tell you about when running your own sites

I hope it all goes well. Get it in your sig, spread the word!

ahahaha...Captain Jack says "Gamble, savvy?" lol, how funny I never thought of it but I will from now on. :D

No Bingo yet but when there is, you'll be the first to know! Also yes you're the first to like my FB page, I haven't even done it yet! There's diddly on it right now either - I originally got it so someone else wouldn't. Now I have to think about what I'll actually use it for.

Speaking of Bingo, @ BT thanks for the mention!

@ everyone, thanks for looking, I know it's slow sometimes - the problem is that it's not consistent, if it was it would be easier to fix. During the day here usually it runs really quickly with just an occasional hiccup, but usually I work on the site at night and that's when it's going into spasms.

I'm looking at going for VPS, I've got 3 sites all running from the same server, but maybe I should look at putting this one by itself. The hosting company I'm with now offers low end VPS for $25/month but they recommend that I go to the next size for $50/month. That seems ridiculously expensive to me. Maybe they're bogging down my server on purpose to get more money from me, the buggers...

I'm going to have to shop around - TBH I'm putting out a lot of $ lately with not much coming back my way so moving is on hold for now. Another thing I was thinking was to use a CDN...

sigh...lots to do and more to do.

Yes I though I would butt in and give short comments as well :) I totally agree with this statement! Well done chayton really nice site keep it up

I think lot of affiliates could learn from this instead of just filling up their sites with casinos including myself  Here you get honest information and really good one indeed.

Hey thanks people! :) I haven't actually done much work on the site since I moved it to a new (hopefully faster!) server. I got really busy recently - took a part-time job outside of the house and got a couple freelance jobs at the same time so my review section and my blog are still in limbo. Also I have some other articles half written - there's a lot of stuff I'd like to do with it but trying to find the time has been an issue. I have a few days off coming up and nothing going on freelance-wise so maybe I can get back to it.

Once I get a bit more for content I plan on joining the GWPA and maybe that will help me get some traffic and maybe get some income coming in. Funny all my websites just cost me money, it would be nice to have something that pays for itself and maybe even pays ME for a change!

Anyhow thanks everyone for your comments and feedback so far, I appreciate it!

ok back online again! I've been working my butt off over the last month or so getting my site up and running, did lots of tweaks on the back end and changed a few things on the front, added a bunch of reviews and working on some more....if anyone would care to take a look and see what you think?

I know there's still room for improvement and I have lots of work to do still, but this way I'll have stuff to work on later. I'm pretty happy with it at the moment though, so I thought I'd see if anyone would like to give me any input - you can send me a message through the site or PM me here or just comment if it's something nice.
    ;)

 It's working now, maybe there was a server hiccup when you went. It's not dead, but it's kind of in limbo. I'm working on a new site that will be replacing it in the next little while. Unless you want to buy the domain for $25000? :p

    Don't under-sell yourself!
Whenever I get approached to sell my site I always ask for at least $2,000,000.
I want to be comfortable when I retire!
