Fantastic stuff! Kanomi are some of my favorite slots I like Mayan Chief allot due to the potential of hundreds of free spins, I also like China Shores :)

Nice empty:)

Good job it's a land casino, an RTG slot would have stopped "max feature win awarded" on 2000 in the pot.

I have had something similar online though at Intercasino, that Indian themed slot where you can win 100 free spins, and if it retriggers, it's another set of what you initially got. That lasted me well over the hour, and got to 600 free spins (might have been 700, I lost count). The Intercasino games don't have this irritating max feature win of RTG, so I GOT all those spins too.

Is that slot online anywhere?

Wondering how you get these videos? Around my location, Atlantic City, cameras are frowned upon by the security team. You'll lose your camera and get booted! Vegas also I believe. Do you use a hidden cam, like a button on your shirt or something?

They shouldn't be a problem around the slots just filming a big win. They are really a problem at the tables because they can be used to cheat. Cheats, however, surely use hidden cameras, so it's the ones they can't spot that they should be afraid of.

Are they legally allowed to take your property? This has been tried in this country, but it's theft. They can, however, "boot" someone off private premises.

In Vegas once, I even got the slot attendants to take photos of me with a hand-pay or two :)

In Canada/US, cameras aren't allowed in casinos (including the ones in Quebec where OP' video was taken). They don't boot you or take your camera but they'll ask you to delete the pics/videos and to not do it again. This isn't to prevent cheating, it's for privacy/security.

Sometimes if you go ask the slot supervisor (manager) if you can take videos of your bonus rounds and assure him that you won't film people he/she might give you the permission to do it as long as you don't film anyone (but even then you should expect slot attendants to harrass you and having to tell them every time that you've got permission).

I had always heard that it was because it was like 'casing the joint', in other words you could study the video or pictures to find weaknesses in the security ie; location of security cameras, general layout, employee routines, etc.

I know the casino will provide stills to big winners next to the machine with the giant check or the like but I wouldn't try it myself in the US.

So, do they search everyone for hidden cameras?

Those who are being obvious are likely to be innocently filming their big wins, or just taking holiday snaps. It's the ones with the hidden cameras that are likely to be up to something, either looking for security weaknesses, cheating, or filming their congressman in a compromising situation;)

No they don't search, of course. They are very quick to spot people filming though, even if you're filming with your phone and pretending to do something else they'll know.

It's getting harder to spot this, because having your phone out permanently could mean anything, such as browsing the internet or playing a game. Still, the cheats and those "casing the joint" will use true hidden cameras, and there is no way to really work out who might be using one unless people "acting oddly" are searched. At best, they could challenge people who are loitering, but don't seem interested in playing or buying, nor appear to be with anyone who is.

Hi bigjohn ...

Hi bigjohn:

I've taken quite a bit of video in Atlantic City. I do not hide a camera, because that looks very suspicious. I just pull out a regular camera and take my video. Most people will not say anything. If someone says something, you can just thank them for letting you know. Sometimes you will get a really eager security person who will ask you to delete the photo/video. No problem. That's about it. It is not legal to take your property, it is not illegal to take a photo or video (although it may be against their rules). At worst, they could ask you to leave, but I've never experienced anything like that.

People will tell stories about security, but if you are not doing something wrong -- you will be fine. They have to tell people dozens of times a day not to take a picture. If you look at NYPHINIX13, CASINOMANNJ and VIDEOPAPPY37 ... they all take video in Atlantic City. A busy night at the casino is the best time.

casing the joint ...

Hi big john:

There are legitimate reasons a casino may not want you to take photos or video:

1) Casing the joint -- Players should not be taking pictures of the security cameras etc.

2) Cheating -- Players shouldn't use a camera around table games. No worries in a slot-only place.

3) Privacy -- When some guy takes out a lady who is not his wife, he should be able to gamble in peace (heh heh).

Any competent security should be able to tell the difference between a player pointing their camera at their slot screen -- and all of the above mentioned activities. Plenty of casinos allow cameras now -- and I have not heard about it leading to any skullduggery. It's just old rules -- something convenient for security.
