The Single Customer View is being brought in so that one compulsory deposit/loss limit, or even a time limit, can be enforced - on the back of enhanced affordability and spending checks.

In theory, a one-stop shop and centralized hub through which all this info can be gleaned sounds helpful, if a little ominous.
